I can't see them expanding the Kids section. . c'mon CP has that giant Camp Snoopy area in addition to the two separate kids sections. but what I *can* imagine them doing? Expand Camp Snoopy area into where the old boat ride was (and also maybe back into the Dinosaurs Alive! area), by moving the rides from the kiddie area over near Wicked Twister/Max Air into Camp Snoopy. that would open up a huge area to put something large. . either another big flat, or maybe some sort of Free-Spin coaster, or some new idea that could really spread out into those current kiddie area. *and I still think most of that arcade could be turned into an excellent dark ride, as much as i love all the old games/pinball machines. was dead in there everytime I went in. . so they could make better use of that space. still. . .I love CP as it is, so anything they do is just cake, even if they just put in a sand volleyball court -

patiently waiting for BGT.. it's been FOUR+ days!!! -
Save that for a Halloween event next year. It would certainly frighten quite a few guests. My thought was that instead of an AA, they should put a cell phone on a stand, shine a spotlight on it, then project Trump's tweets on the screen, all while pumping in the smells of McDonald's and KFC. "The president is away, er, 'working' at Mar a Lago, but he is with us in spirit."

check your local Alamo for special screenings!. . absolutely ask them. not sure how old your kiddo is, but the Alamo here, offer special "kids" screenings, as well as "autism" screenings (the lights are not quite as low in the theater, and the sound isn't quite as intense), so you could enjoy a screening as a family, surrounded by others who have a similar situation with an autistic child.

one correction.. Alamo Drafthouse originated right here in Austin yeah, it's named after the Alamo (about an hour away in San Antonio), but i saw many, many shows at the original Alamo Drafthouse, upstairs near the 4th/Colorado "Warehouse" district in Austin. that Original location is long gone (it's been several nightclubs at this point), but there are several around town, and the newest locations (with choose your seat online while buying tickets, and the mini-tables shared by every two seats (instead of the long bar table infront of the whole row)) are absolutely amazing. hint on my fave snack there. . the Buffalo Cauliflower is incredible, but order it with the sauce on the side (and then dip as you eat). The cauliflower will stay crisp the whole way thru, instead of getting soggy quickly. oh, and hint 2: show up 1/2 hour before your showing. That's when the theaters open, and you can go in, order, and enjoy the 1/2 hour pre-show. . which is clips, commericals, and just weird crap, that's typically themed to what's showing: (for example, for Justice League, the whole pre-show was old superhero clips, and commercials, and for "It" the whole preshow was about clowns (yes, including McDonald's commercials)

What is your next park?
bert425 replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
next park is likely SFFT (since gonna make use of the season pass). followed in 2018 by SFoT, and then HOPEFULLY, Dollywood in May/June. -
along party lines. . . Republicans voted for it, Dems against.

when we did a trip to DC, we did a few days at BGW, and then King's Dominion, which were both very short drives from Washington DC. now, OK, I'm used to driving in Texas (a very big State), so maybe it's just that to me a 1 1/2 (KD) or 3 (BGW) hour drive is just not that big a deal, and not considered "far". . . but with SFA, KD, and BGW all "close" (at least to me), it seems crazy that anyone would think another park would be needed/wanted there. to be clear, we did NOT go to SFA, and I've never been, so can't comment on how that park is. If we had Six Flags Season Passes, we absolutely would have swung by tho. . .

If I had a dime for every time I posted something, thought "eh.... I don't know, that one might be a bit much" and then Robb or Elissa came along and gave it the seal of approval as I was questioning whether or not I should edit it I would be a rich man. LOL.. I've taken to asking before hand if not sure (oh yeah, I asked before posting some pics from our "Bear Cruise" back in Feb). and Rawkin.. . that made me laugh, and laugh, and laugh

Not at all, McDonalds is great. yeah. .I was gonna say, I don't think Elissa would agree it's "gross" either. great report, and Fun Spot sounds like the kind of craptastic amazing that we love. . . Nick would have been freakout out over the drunk locals, and i would be chatting with them and making fun of him can't wait to see what you think of BGT! -
perfectly accurate description of "Coaster" from NYNY you know, if you had done the rail-shuttle from Mirage to Treasure Island, you could count that as a "Coaster" too ( you KNOW Cedar Point would ), and it would have still been more fun than the old Manhattan Express. I take it from the time allotted you mentioned, that you didn't bother with High Roller (as that's a good chunk of time expenditure needed, tho I think it's totally worth it for the incredible views. .and bonus if you get in a carriage with the bar). continues to be a great report, and eagerly await the part II installment.

ye gods. . . my review (from FB): Nick and I got out of the house today for lunch (Serrano's) and a bad movie. yes, I have now seen: "GEO-STORM" *Horrifically* bad writing (example: early in the film, the guy who's been in charge of the whole satellite system for 3+ years has to have it EXPLAINED to him what a "Geostorm" is. . but then about 1/2 way thru the film, the satellite system starts flashing a nifty "countdown to Geostorm" -- yep, the guy in charge of the whole shebang doesn't know what it is, but there are timed countdowns to the term). Decent to Questionable acting: the film is set in DC (tho seems awful easy to get from DC to Florida to Space in very quick time), yet one of the main characters - the BROTHER to the other main characters, inexplicably shifts in and out of thick Boston-ish accent ? (Ed Harris (he needed the money?), and a few others fare better. . but not great acting in this turd) it even fails as Disaster Porn (they destroy Rio, but not only is Christ the Redeemer untouched. . it's NEVER EVEN SHOWN ON SCREEN -- yes, they impact Rio De Jeneiro, and never show it's most famous landmark on screen). seriously, the special needs lady near us, who clapped and whooped at things on the screen, was more entertaining than the film. I was expecting crap, but fun crap. . instead got . . . less than crap? oh well. . we got out of the house, and it was only $2.

Think we are going to see "Geo-Storm" at the discount theater tomorrow. what do ya think?. . worth $2 ?
