  1. larrygator is definitely correct in my books, Coaster is my joint #1 and has some of the best trains of any currently operating coaster.
  2. Diesel is pushing $4.40 a gallon here in Santa Barbara. EDIT: ^You're forgetting that there are only 3.8 liters in an American gallon but 4.5 in a British gallon so the correct price would be £4.95 = $8.02 a gallon for gas.
  3. Peach Fanta from a Coke Freestyle machine at SFMM on Sunday.
  4. I was wondering if the free parking with the Gold Pass was also valid on the visit when you process your pass (if bought online) or if you have to pay for parking that visit and it will be refunded when you process your pass?
  5. Great capture on those facial expressions, especially mullet man.
  6. I don't mind that much how bad it looks since it'll most likely be gone within the next three years and shipped off to another park since it is the portable model as opposed to the permanent version.
  7. O great and illustrious Title Fairy if you would ever so kindly change my title to something similar to "I like 'em rough" or "pain connoisseur". Thank you ever so much your magisterial greatness.
  8. ^ The problem with that is most parents don't have any common sense when it comes to that sort of thing. Like the parents you see every year with their baby stroller at a Halloween event or the ones forcing kids who don't want to ride to ride.
  9. Well for XC season I upgraded my footwear to two pairs of New Balance Minimus Zeros. They're amazing.
  10. I used to have the nicest old lady living next door to me and she had to move out of her house, which her late husband had built back in the 40s, because she mortgaged it to pay her husbands medical and 24 hour care bills, and the bank wouldn't refinance the loan. Just to make it worse a friend who lived next door to where our new neighbors live says that they called the cops on her (our friend's) gardener for using a (legal) leaf blower and on the person painting her house for using a (also perfectly legal) sprayer.
  11. I love Lightning Racer and that pic is great. The only bad part of the ride is the lack of photo opportunities.
  12. Saw Skyfall today and I liked all the nods throughout it to the older Bond movies. Definitely an enjoyable movie that I would heartily recommend.
  13. No, just no, its bad enough with the pet names for coasters already without that atrocity being added to the list.
  14. Rise Against - "Re-Education"
  15. 0. B:TR* - Seemed to be running blazingly fast with increadible forces and was very disorienting 1. Afterburn - great forces, pacing, and just the perfect length 2. B:TR - Still one of B & Ms better designs, a blitzkreig of force and intensity, only problem is it lacked a little floater 3. Silver Bullet - While it gets a lot of flak I found it really fun and re-rideable the only problem I had was the slope of the drop was ridiculous 4. Raptor - I don't really remeber riding it that well but I wasn't that impressed 5. Alpengeist - Rattled a bit too much for a B & M and the second half was pretty lame 6. Great Bear - I loved the pre-drop helix but the rest of the ride wasn't overly impressive *At night during Fright Fest when it was shrouded in fog with strobes and other lighting
  16. Unpleasant: Voyage - Was expecting airtime heaven when it was pretty mediocre except for the first drop, spaghetti bowl and triple down off of the MCBR in the back seat and the end was really rough I305 - It was really hyped up and I found it a very solid ride but not quite as good as people hyped it up to be Alpengeist - Was expecting it to be really fun based on the other B & M inverts I've ridden but it was rattling and was a bit bland Kong - Was expecting hell, it was worse Pleasant: Legend - Was expecting a really rough ride when it was a little rough but provided great laterals and a few spots of air combined with good pacing KD's Grizzly - Hadn't really heard that much about it but it turned out to be a pretty decent ride that provided great night rides PNE's Coaster - Heard good things about it but my 25+ rides in the rain when I went were all phenomenal and earned its spot as my #1 Shockwave - Went in expecting agony but the airtime while standing was weird and the overall ride was enjoyable Rebel Yell - Pleasant enough ride, not the hell I was expecting after riding Thunder Road Lochness Monster - Really fun and enjoyable ride with decent airtime and forces and very smooth for an Arrow looper
  17. As someone who rarely visits SFMM my friend wants to know whether the 2nd, 8th or 9th of December would be best to visit? I ruled out the 1st since he's accidentally gone on the JAMZ day before and that's it this year.
  18. Skytrak - Granada Studios If I'm right someone else can go.
  19. Since I'm likely only to ride the new California rides next year I'll have to go with Full Throttle since looks like it is either going to be amazing or overwhelmingly meh, second would have to be Gold Striker since it looks like the layout is fantastic. As for any ride in 2013 I'd have to say Iron Rattler and Outlaw Run both look amazing but I think Iron Rattler may just edge it out depending on what's after the tunnel.
