On the subject of Full Throttle: Since SFMM is so record happy I could really see this being an S & S compressed air launcher with the highest launch acceleration in the world which would be amazing since the only launch coaster at the park has a really pathetic launch. Not to mention that the new S & S trains look like pure sex.

Apparently my school doesn't offer honors science classes and I quote "do not offer AP classes to freshmen". What f*cking a lie, I think that I should be able to take an AP class if I want to and screw whatever bullsh*t rules and regulations prevent it. I personally think that if I can finish a 9 month math class in 9 weeks then I should be able to take whatever f*cking class I want and not have to be stuck in a class full of idiots who couldn't get an A in a class if it was handed to them on a platter. ***EDIT*** Also on the same note why the hell did those bureaucrats have to just go and completely screw the GATE program and dump all of the kids from it into normal honors classes (basically you don't have to be smart to get into honors you just have to show up to class and turn in half of the homework assignments).

[RCT3] Fisher Park

First off I love the detail in this park and secondly I love when people add stuff like this to their park, not just a lawsuit over an injury/death or a fire, but something that could very well happen to a real park. -
How Much Is Too Much Airtime?
bottom_feeder_13 replied to Lone Wanderer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's not too much airtime until your eyes start bleeding. -
I rode Voyage a few days ago and found the first half to be really great with some good floater airtime on the hills and the spaghetti bowl was just the perfect mix of abrupt airtime, lats and the perfect amount of roughness to let you know it was a woodie made it really just a great ride. The issue arose with the ride after it got closer to the lift hill where it had some bad vertical and lateral jackhammering causing it to become almost un-rerideable. I can't wait for the Timberliners since the PTC restraints cut into my leg when I sit normally in them. But enough complaints. Raven was awesome and was smooth and awesome in the back seat and Legend was also really great. Now Liberty Launch deserves some love, the most epic shot tower in the universe.

^ That, on my first ride (it was in the last row) the first drop brought it up around my ribs but I had up towards my neck on that last insane hill. Epic airtime wins the world. -

I think that Playland PNE's kiddie coaster, Kettle Creek Mine, is still operating since I just whored it this morning. -

^^ The original launch speed was actually 160 kph (100 mph) and the max potential speed of the new LSMs that were installed with the renovation are capable of is well above 180 kph possibly as high as 200 kph or more with the old ones maxing out at around 180-190 kph. The problem is that first gen LSM's need to be tuned up once in a while or else they start to become less efficient and the train will under speed the launch. If the problem isn't addressed at all, this happened in Superman's case after about 3 years of operation, then the train will eventually be launching up to as much as 30 percent slower than the intended speed, right before Superman's renovation it was only launching around 115 kph (72 mph). If you look at videos of ToT it's LSMs are a bit out of sync and you can see that the train doesn't reach nearly as high as Superman does now. The next gen LSMs are more reliable due to the fact that they use modular control system based almost entirely on track sensor data that can adjust the eddy current so that the train will go the intended speed each time. (All the info on the old LSMs comes from my dad, who worked for the company that was hired to tune the LSMs back when the ride opened)

I'm going to put my neck on the line here and say that it's impossible for Giant Drop to possibly fall further and faster than Lex Luthor because if you look at the picture below you can clearly see that the brakes on giant drop start just above the second horizontal support coming out of the tower. If you look at a pic of Lex you can see that the brakes start much lower down Superman's structure than Giant Drop's on ToT's tower. Since ToT's track is identical to Superman's and the top Lex catch car is 6 meters down from the top of the tower and Giant Drop's tops out about 1.5 meters below the top of ToT's track, the difference in the starting points of Lex and Giant Drop's drops is 4.5 meters. I would say that the brakes on Lex start at least 6 meters further down Superman's tower than Giant Drop's do compared to ToT's tower. Also you can see that there on Lex the initial brakes actually don't slow the car down at all, they only slow the acceleration down to about 0.5 m/s^2 and are there to make the actual brakes less abrupt. Using all of this you can reach the conclusion that Lex falls 1.5 meters further un-inhibited and then another 7-8 meters with very little downward acceleration than Giant Drop does. All the complicated explanations aside I think it would have been awesome if they had put a false drop in on one side of it and a count down from 3 to -5 that alternates randomly between dropping the riders at any time before the end of the count down, at the end of the count down or counting down to zero and then playing recorded message about there being some technical difficulties and then dropping riders in the middle of the message. on both sides.

^ & ^^ Really I'm also 6'1" but I've never had issues with arrow OTSRs but I also have really long legs (I have more trouble getting the seat on standups high enough than my friend who's 6'5") I actually find that I'm the ideal height for those restraints because all the bashing is going into my neck as opposed to my ears (Revolution) and so it's actually pretty comfortable, at least there's leg room.
