  1. -More customizable track segments (tilt sections, a reverse launch from a stop at a brake, drop sections, a modified tilt section for roll instead) -Better integrated 3d capability (beyond just supports and catwalks) -Customizable 3d 'cartextures' an editable 3d mesh as opposed to simple graphic (without the mirroring issue from side to side) -More launch options (hydraulic, compressed air, LSM [with multiple fin types], flywheel and more) each with their own acceleration patern -Better connection between support tubes meeting at the same node. -An integrated force vector based design system with an interface similar to the a 2d version of the current track design interface so the transition is fully customizable but could be set to a predefined one or one you created and then saved (I know it the description is clear as mud but anyways) -Editable spine size on B & M's
  2. I still think that any form of OSTR would be bad on that ride because one of the best parts is seeing the trees go by as it glides along its track and the head rests really restrict that view in all but the front seats.
  3. The forces on Montezuma's loop seem the same if not higher than those on Revolution and it operates fine with lapbars so I fail to see the problem. Anyways SFMM would technically be safe in a lawsuit due to the sign at the top of the hill that says the riders need to have their heads back, and the park rules state that all safety signs must be followed.
  4. One isn't enough though, what they really need for 2013 isn't a coaster but a skyscreamer, a giant discovery, a screamin swing and maybe an air-race.
  5. A crappy little Fabbri spinner at the local carnival.
  6. Their pic for T-Express is actually Fireball at Happy Valley somewhere.
  7. Somebody going back in time and killing Werner Stengel before he ever designed a coaster. What's worse than SFMM announcing that its new for 2013 ride is going to be an Intamin 12 inversion coaster that is just a clone of Colossus but with another heartline roll and a loop replacing the airtime hill?
  8. I'm still betting on an overseas park....the new CEO isn't Kinzel after all & is less inclined to build expensive coasters especially to win a "coaster count crown" against a park that's thousands of miles away from CP,those days are long gone. You have to remember that this project will have been in the works for quite a few years and so would be a product of the Kinzel era as opposed to the new CEO. As for my personal opinion, I think that the second pic looks exactly like the piece of track about halfway down Shambahala's drop where the support meets the track except possibly angled more in the area of 80-85 degrees than 75.
  9. ^ I'd imagine it's a capacity issue, the ones at the other Cedar Fair parks have 32 seats as opposed to 8 so the lines would be astronomical if it wasn't an upcharge.
  10. I always hear about how Ghostrider is a piece of crap yet somehow always manage to think it's a great ride that just needs the trimming to get lost to be returned to glory, I swear that even though the last car is a bit rough the first drop overrides any discomfort, the feeling of being thrown into the roof , not to mention the way the ending used to be, the perfect combination of lats and airtime.
  11. Grrr, just found out I can't make it, but I should make it ECB.
  12. Sounds like a good thing I just hope they leave construction off until after ECB.
  13. ^ They actually only use sand in the supports, the track is usually filled with an ultra light weight expanding foam so the supports don't need to be strengthened to hold the extra weight of the sand.
  14. ^ Yeah but I don't care because it's an Intamin Mega train that will have enough leg room to fit people more that 6 feet tall without it being like a gymnastics competition.
  15. A track I whipped up for a NL tournament over on coastercrazy.com. It has eveything you could ever want, high speed hills, airtime in abundance, two huge overbanks and three high g helices. On the exchange here Please comment and rate.
  16. When I heard the trains were going to be yellow I thought they meant lemon yellow, not that sexy dulled gold . Want sexy trains now!
  17. The simple solution is to have a merge point, probably at the same spot that the normal line enters the loading platform, where the fast lane joins the normal line, if its this way then fast lane users get to skip the majority of the line without pissing everyone else off.
