  1. According to ACE, a normal person bought Revolution...for an amazing price. If I had money and land, I would have bought it in a heart beat. ONLY $55,000!!!! Okay, so it isn't the greatest roller coaster haha, but who can say they have a full size roller coaster in their yard....that is ridiculously cheap. No reason that thing couldn't have sold for around $1 million, but I guess their main concern is they need to get rid of it and very few parks would want to pick up a ride like that.
  2. Well, I have ridden over 100 steel and when I think of my #12, it isn't the greatest thing ever haha. I am definitely not thinking this will be bad. I want it to be good. My wooden coaster list isn't filled with that many good ones. I definitely don't go to a coaster and cross my fingers that it will be bad....although I did do that with Dragster. With the layout of this ride and especially compared to the other Intamin woodies and even some of the other woodies made by Gravity Group and GCI, there is no way this is a #1.
  3. Well...for someone to have it as #12, it can't be that amazing. I will be up there next Wednesday. I expect it to be good, but I definitely don't think it will be the best coaster ever. This thing hasn't been open for that long....wait a little bit longer and you will start seeing people say how it is a good ride, but not #1. It has already started to happen and even this topic has really died down.
  4. You telling me that Mark bit off more than he could chew is harder to believe from someone that looks like he didn't even pass high school English.
  5. Uhh...then what would that thing be inbetween the first loops haha?
  6. WARNING: Six Flags Magic Mountain fanboys may get uncomfortable feelings in their stomach when reading this post. I hate to say this, but SFMM isn't that great of a park. I was talking with one of my friends about this the other day. What roller coasters stand out as great there? They have 17...when all of them are working. Batman- A clone that so many Six Flags parks have. Canyon Blaster- Just a little kiddie coaster, obviously nothing to get excited about Colossus- Not necessarily a bad wooden coaster, but there are so many better than it. Dejavu- A ride that is rarely operating, but when it is, who cares? not that fun of a ride and rather rough, I will give credit to a front row ride though....oh yeah, you can't pick your row haha Flashback- CLOSED Goldrusher- A mine train, a lot of parks have one, and this one sure doesn't stand out as one of the better ones Goliath- Won't say anything bad about this ride, a lot of people seem to like it, although I haven't heard someone say that it is better than the one at SFOG Goliath Jr.- Another kiddie coaster Ninja- Few people like suspended coasters, not much of a thrill in them. I still hear that Top Gun at PKI and Big Bad Wolf beat it. Psyclone- So many people complain about how rough this ride is. Nothing more. Revolution- A great ride....when there were no over the shoulder restraints. Now, it just provides headbanging and extremely slow due to all the brakes throughout the ride. Riddler's Revenge- A lot of people say it is the best stand up. I am not a fan of standups. Scream!- Rougher than its east coast sister. It is in the middle of the parking lot....extremely trashy looking, they didn't even take the time to paint over the parking lot lines. Superman The Escape- Possibly one of the most disappointing rides ever? Tatsu- That is definitely a good roller coaster. Haven't heard many bad reviews about it. Viper- It's a rough looper...nothing great about this ride. X- So many people complain about how rough this ride is also. Good idea for a ride, but I guess the way the train spins the seats provides an uncomfortable ride. This park may have a lot of roller coasters, but so many parks that have a lot fewer rides still beat this line up. On top of the rides, it is a very dirty and trashy park. Workers also seem to be some of the unhappiest. I guess I should prepare myself to back up all of these complaints that are about to come.
  7. From the looks of that picture, they could have just jumped out of their seats . But oh wait, that may cause someone to put a little bit of pressure on the bottom of their feet causing an uncomfortable feeling for just under 2 seconds, they wouldn't want to have to call another ambulance.
  8. S:ROS is currently my #3. Voyage actually took over my #1 spot, and I will be up there in about 2 weeks to ride El Toro. Hopefully, it can take over my #1 spot again haha. I have Dragster as my #2 which not too many people like. I actually wish that I could put S:ROS over that, but for some reason I love Dragster...I rode it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was just so addicting. Front seat only though....every other row sucked.
  9. If this is your second best drop, what is your first?
  10. Are you really 15...because once again I am loving these "when I was young" statements as we all know 15 yr old bodies are already starting to decompose...
  11. ^ Haha...coming straight from a 12 year old.
  12. I rode Dragster for the first time a couple of weeks ago and loved it. It is now my #1 steel although many people don't care for it. I went up to SFGAdv last summer for Ka, but it was down for that huge amount of time. I am going on July 5th this year...hopefully it will be running.
  13. I rode GOLIATH at SFOG 57 times on media day. It never got old...
  14. I rode Nitro last summer. It was amazing. If you haven't already, you should come down to SFOG to ride GOLIATH. I think it beats Nitro.
  15. Oh God...fanboys again. Well, I made my first trip to PKI a couple of weeks ago. Beast is one of the most overrated coasters on the planet. Thunderhead isn't my top woodie but is so much smoother and fun than Beast. It isn't too rough in the front, but it still isn't an amazing ride. It is more of just a tour of the woods. In the very last seat, it is one of the most painful rides I have been on. I am more of the person where roller coasters aren't these insane thrill machines and I just normally sit there and enjoy the ride. I am not screaming for fun or anything. On Beast, there were parts where I was screaming in pain. It is the first ride I have ever done that. I was screaming so loud, tears almost rolled down my face. Especially because of the fact that since that ride bounces up and down so much, my lap bar went down as far as possible and I felt every minor bump of the ride. If your idea of an amazing ride is something with a trim every 5 feet, then I don't know your definition. It goes down the first drop and is already slowed down by a trim. Every time you have a chance to pick up some speed, a trim is already slowing it down. Overall nothing impressive at all.
  16. Aquatrax has already been seen before...
  17. Oh...Haha, when I looked at some of the rides on there, I thought it would have been from April 2005.
  18. Since it has been about a year, Rob and Elissa, what is your Top 10 now?
  19. That's what I was thinking. Everybody talks about how it goes slow through the turnaround and other parts...when did Voyage ever let up?...at the brake run. I think El Toro will be my #2 wooden. Looking forward to the air!
  20. ^ Exactly. Those would be great to have on that ride. That is why I love Intamin hypers. They also never fall down in the middle of the ride. I actually sent an email to GCI's train designer with my opinion on their trains. I haven't gotten a response back yet, but that was only like a week ago that I sent it. I also suggested that if the lap bars locked in place before you left the station it would be an amazing ride also. It is a shame that I have to judge a ride based on its lap bar...
  21. ^ Haha. Thank you. I have seen so many people say Gwazi is rough. I literally rode it like 3 or 4 months ago. There isn't anything wrong with it.It is suprizingly my #2 wooden....right behind good ole Voyage. Thunderhead is down at about #5 because unlike most of you, I can't stand those trains....well, correction, I love the trains, the comfort of the seats, the way they look, the way each car moves independently providing a smoother ride, but I can't stand the lap bars. They are so heavy and just fall into your lap. It takes away from all opportunities of airtime and the lap bar actually gets me in the gut, so any airtime moments is painful. Anybody else think the lapbars are poorly designed? Out of my common sense, something that would help alot would be to have the bar that is coming from the floor to go into the bottom of the bar instead of the top.... rcdb.com/ig2451.htm?picture=4 see what I mean?
  22. They are normally $20 for the first person and then $10 for every person after that. There is a huge downside to these things which is why I don't really care for them. What it does is, if the line is 2 hours long, it gives you a time, 2 hours from when you scanned it. If you scan in any other rides, there time doesn't start until after you do that ride. The only time I have used them is when I have gotten free coupons. I think you could conquer all of the coasters at SFOT without a Q bot in one day.
  23. Being two GAdv fanboys I can't go by that too much, but personally I wouldn't enjoy being pinned to my seat by the staple nazis if there is such insane air on this thing. I will be riding it for myself in a couple weeks, but I don't see how it is possible to beat Voyage.
  24. ^ Well obviously it wasn't cool where I was standing because the cops came haha....I was in restricted area, yet there were no signs. That is why I got off easy.
  25. I guess it also depends on how the park would react if they found out someone was in the track area. My home park is SFOG and Goliath leaves the park out into this island. There is no fence around the outside of the island. They do have fences around the low spots in the track that would be easily accessible to and it says "Restricted Access". I wanted to get some video of the ride and was out in the island getting some cool angles. There were no signs saying I couldn't be out there, and since some areas had fence, I assumed that I wasn't hurting anything being out there where there was no fence. Well, the e-stop button was hit, and before I knew it there were cops after me. Obviously, now I know not to go out in the island, but at least signage would work.
