Here is a great video from one of our local papers! At the 0:22 mark of the video, look towards the bottom right, a street light gets taken out by the building! You will also notice that the elevator shaft and stairwell fails to completely collapse, it was taken down by crane and cable later in the day. This is the second time that this happened to a Las Vegas Implosion, it happened to The Hacienda in 1996 as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcay2TuIlf4

Hey everyone! They are finally almost done in cleaning all of the glass at The Adventuredome. It is amazing how much dirt and grime can build up, the difference is quite drastic, but very glad some TLC is happening at this place -
So sorry that there hasn't been an update of the Clarion Implosion, it was pushed back apparently due to CES. Well there is a new date and it is currently scheduled for 2/10/2015 at 2:30AM.

My new Avatar is from Disney's Big Hero 6, it is the logo of "SFN" that is on Tadashi Hamada's hat. I had the hat made 2 days after the movie came out and I wear it everywhere. SFN stands for San Fransokyo Ninjas, the local baseball team. I totally love the mash-up of San Francisco and Tokyo to make San Fransokyo.

Hey everyone, I didn't have the opportunity to share my experience at the park on Saturday. My buddy has never been to SFMM so we decided to make a quick trip to this and Disney, we had a really good day at the park. I do have to say I was pleasantly surprised with Holiday in the Park, families really seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was awesome seeing the park all lit up with holiday lights from on top of Lex Luthor Drop of Doom. Our first ride of 2015 is X2, and it was running really well and audio was working on both trains. I must say it was very odd riding Ninja without the thick foliage that used to surround the ride, but I am glad the ride is open. It had a full queue most of the day, but there are warning sings that they were running only one train. (Batman was also running one train and Superman only had one side running, the left car was being worked on.) Even though the park was only open from 10:30AM to 8:00PM, there was a decent amount of people in the park, and it seemed to get busier as the sun set and guests came in to see the holiday decorations. Because my friend has never been to the park, we obviously had to ride everything! Rides that I am normally weary of I had no issues with on Saturday, Viper was running very well, the train we rode looked like it had all new parts and wheels, Revolution was fine because I rode defensively, but I think I rode too defensively because I ended up giving myself a headache! I did want to mention lunch, we had lunch at JB's BBQ (across from Riddler's Revenge), and the food was really good, I ended up getting a chicken sandwich and their homemade potato chips, which were really good! There was this employee who was walking around asking if everyone was enjoying their food and that she hopes everyone was having a great day at the park, I hope to see more of this! I didn't take too many photos, but I'll share them below. Gotta love how SFMM welcomes you. Holiday in the Park! DC Universe celebrates the Holiday Season! Amazing how much has been taken off of this turnaround! They ran light shows that lasted about 5 minutes each, every 15 minutes. First ride of 2015, X2, and it was running really well and Audio was working!

Is this ride going to be getting new trains like X > X2? I wonder if that would help the ride any? -

Wow I am surprised at how minimal the support structure appears to be! Compare it to an Arrow coaster in the 90's and before! -

Ride You Felt Was Unsafe?

Speaking of Log Flumes, Log Jammer at SFMM used to scare the crap out of me after the second lift. The water was so high in the flume and the log would be elevated, you swore that the log could just fall over the cliff lol! -
I have to say, I was looking forward to this movie since the first teaser trailers were released with just Baymax, I've never laughed out loud so much during a movie preview before. And Robb is absolutely right, you never lose track of the characters and you end up feeling emotion for all of them. You'll experience a plethora of emotions in this film, I totally loved it more than Frozen! I want to see it again! I need something Big Hero 6 for my desk at work now!

They normally have to replace the track after the second loop every few years, there is a lot of force where you get the ejector air at the turnaround before the corkscrews. On another note, did anyone attend Fright Dome this year? I found it to be the best Fright Dome in years. It was a great time! -
Ride that Makes You (a bit) Sick
Mr Stratosphere replied to coasternate's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only ride that has managed to make me a bit nauseous are Zamperla Disk-O rides, they have a weird sensation and the force on your stomach doesn't help much!
