  1. From my Buccaneer Battle Media Day: 10 Boats, 8 people per boat. I thought it was closer to 3,000 per hour, but I may be mistaken. I'll see if I can get a real figure. I was a Z-Force fanboy way back. I miss, even though it wasn't all that great. Iron Wolf has never done anything for me, except squish my cojones. I was going to start this thread myself upon my next visit, so well done. Mod Alert: Let's keep this to GAm talk, not rumors. Keep that in the Rumor Super thread. As for Dive coasters, and GCI's, those are bunk.
  2. Considering the last mangement wasn't even making money, and spending money they didn't have, I'd say it's a step up. It's day three, I think we can all stop the SF is lying talk. As with everything else you have to give it time. And stop pointing fingers at a management plan thats at least trying to fix the issue. That's more than what we can all say about the last management, which got them into this problem in the first place. Matt "Tired of the same Six Flags haters in here" Jacobs
  3. Why would they sell two of their profitable parks? Filing for Chapter 11 allows a corporation to restructure their debts in order to make them more managable. Shapiro is taking the right steps. He's inherited a total mess from the previous management, and this had to be done. Chapter 11 is nothing new, corporations have done it before and come out stronger. It has to do with strong leadership, which I believe SF has, as witnessed by the positive changes over the past few years.
  4. Almost the entire ride has been retracked. The helix is the only rough part in my opinion.
  5. I'm an enthusiast, and I enjoy The Dark Knight. Are you speaking for me? It is what it is. It's a family coaster, that was marketed incorrectly. Or at least the general public took the press to literally, thinking that a "thrilling ride" meant, "thrill ride." I lean toward the latter. SFGAm has made improvements to loading/unloading. I don't think you'll see lines like that this year.
  6. September and October are very good months to go to Orlando.
  7. This must be started.
  8. I'd go direct to the source. The Manufacturer. Wikipedia is not where anyone should go for info. And don't fall into the "it's not a realistic layout for a {insert manufacturer}." It's your park, your game, and you can build it however you like.
  9. My rant: When posters don't know when to not reply. To EVERYTHING they've posted. This is a forum, not you're personal communication device. HINT: Posting for posting sake: see above two posts.
  10. Perhaps it's the way the opinion is presented. Or that when you have an opinion on EVERYTHING, people don't want to listen to you anymore.
  11. ^ But not as cheap as a l o c k e r.
  12. Moby Dick.....in my pants (Led Zeppelin) Lemon Parade.....in my pants (Tonic) Perfect Situation....in my pants (Weezer) Yeah.....
  13. ^ No. If you add it as an attachment to your post it'll be on TPR's server. Please zip the file up before attaching. There's a Sticky at the top of this Forum explaining it: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=143
  14. Trash cans typically do what they're supposed to do. Unlike some of those $8/hour employees.
  15. From the rules: 14. Posting Links or "Spamming" - You must have at least 50 posts if you want to create a post which sole purpose is to link to your personal website, update, YouTube video, forum or any other website. If your post count is under 50 posts and your link has not be pre-approved by an admin or moderator, your link will be removed. Please note - links to your website in your signature are acceptable. Please see the Private Message sent to you last week from Not_For_Sale Locked.
  16. I'm also thinking we don't need a new thread for every remix you make. Let's keep in one thread, please.
  17. Most of the ride has been retracked. It's not difficult to tell. The only part I find rough is the helix. And for the trim on Raging Bull, it's computer controlled and it's always been there. Last visit it didn't even go off. Depends on the time, the weight, and the weather I guess.
  18. Not sure you'd get a mansion in most parts of the country. Typically, 10% less than the asking cost is what homes sell for.
  19. Home warranties are the biggest f'in rip off. Don't bother with them. They typically don't cover anything. You're better off asking for the seller to throw that $500-1000 in a buyer credit of some sort. Paul, they aren't required, but lots of us south of your border ask for them. Lord knows why though.
  20. It was discussed at length in the SFMM thread.
