  1. ^Welcome. Before you post again, I suggest read Theme Park Review's Posting Rules And this, before posting in the Game Forum
  2. ^ Sounds like it! I'm surprised they hung on this long. There's been infighting with family for years over waht to do with the land. Obviously, the payout for the land is greater than anything they'll get for continuing to operate. Sad, but kind of the way it is. Although, I bet they're kicking themselves for no selling two years ago!
  3. Bieng that this has been posted already, AND this is pretty poorly written.....Locked. Matt "Move along, nothing to see here" Jacobs
  4. The proof is in the pudding. He runs the site, and it's his picture. What's there to argue about? Right? Keep the "original" pics coming folks. These are excellent!
  5. Good lord, may Larry have mercy on your soul. Why would you go anywhere else but the TPR Index?
  6. ^ Who are you?
  7. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, as he does most of TPR's trip reports of Valleyfair. You may need to do a bit more investigating before outright DQ'ing someone.
  8. This is more important. Obviously, this is not the way Robb or Elissa would like the community to see TPR.
  9. I'm typing as quietly as possible! I need food people! One Magic Mountain turkey leg a week is not enough! I'll also accept care packages of beer. Unless it's bottled in Milwaukee, St. Louis, or Golden, CO.
  10. I believe I will might be headed to SFGAm on Monday. Purely for the entertainment of the whole event. And I need to get my season pass.......shhhhh.
  11. I'd like to see some evidence of this locking with vindictiveness you keep refering too. I haven't seen it in some time. And again, there's a LOT more to modding here than prowling the boards looking to lock a thread, which seems to be what you think we do. Well, Chuck does, but he has to answer to Angus McNasty each night so, we let him slide. It's about time someone heard my cries. This closet is dark, and I've been tortured with being made to watch Yo Gabba Gabba for weeks. I can smell the Carrabba's carry out, it's not fair!
  12. ^ I believe it was '66. But perhaps '72???? Crap, now I'm going to have to ask. Um, show me a course where they serve something better than Miller and Bud swill, and perhaps I'll rethink my decision!
  13. This is one of the wisest things said on TPR.
  14. My Dad was stationed in Georgia the year Nicklaus won the Masters. He had a weekend pass, and immediately drove out to see it, since he figured he'd never get the chance to do so again. He still talks about it to this day. I tried golfing for a few years, but I just couldn't get into it. I got bored after eight holes everytime!
  15. NO!...I guess I wasn't sarcastic enough. Those of us with sarcasm meters installed got it just fine. Very nice PTR!
  16. Triple Play, Fiddler's Fling, Orbit, and Hometown Fun Machine (more because of the setting), still get rides from me whenever I go. I love them all. I do miss The Haybaler.
  17. Much better. Although you could have edited your thread from yesterday. I'll be deleting that one.
  18. I'm going to give all of you one example on why being a mod can be very frustrating: This has been started as two seperate threads.
  19. See? This is what I'm talking about. Someone's scared of being on the mod's bad sides, so they say something like this. I've read lots of mature forums that didn't include mods being jerks about everything. Um, wow. If you think I have nothing better to do than assert my power over thirteen year olds, you're barking up the wrong tree. Joey hit the nail on the head. This is just as much a hobby for us, as it is for everyone else. We all have jobs, families, other hobbies that make us happy. Look, 99% of the time the mods let things slide here. *Backstage spolier warning* We do have a Mod forum and often discuss threads and members before we act "dickish." There's that one percent of posters that are continually just bad, and there's no way around it. That's not to say we haven't had a few figure it out, and turn the corner. I can think of two or three right now. Again, when you see a locked thread, it's usually because of a lot more issues with a member than what you saw in that thread (or post) alone. Does that mean we're right 100% of the time? No. We make mistakes too.
  20. That's odd, I got stuck with a naked indian in my dream.
  21. ^ See above and below.
  22. For 1554? I don't think so. ^ I rank Surly Darkness barely better than Dark Lord. And I hate Dark Lord. Darkness was a total let down.
  23. ^ Using a scenery item, like one of the small boulders, and dropping it under ground will do the same thing too.
