  1. ^^ This is the best answer.
  2. With no down payment, and a poor credit score, I wouldn't get my hopes up for a bank loan. They just aren't giving money away like they were two and three years ago. A 20% down payment will rid you of PMI, but most banks will offer two loans. Like an 80% loan, and a 10-20% loan (depending on your down payment) to avoid the PMI. Either way, PMI is only a small percentage each month. As for hidden costs, there aren't any. Do your research, and nothing will be a shock. "Buying A Home for Dummies" was a great help for my wife and I, and we still refer back to it, as we start looking to jump up the real estate ladder.
  3. After thinking about the insanity of what all the Six Flag's haters have about this newfangled locker policy, that no one else does...... For everyone who thinks that the parks are making this great amount of money off it, do some math: - How many employees were added to each attraction to install the lockers? Now you have to add salaries for those employees. - How many people really use the lockers for each ride in an hour on average? In most cases don't two or more people use one locker?
  4. I'm saddened that after four years and 7800 posts on TPR, this thread is my greatest contribution. Long live lockers!
  5. I'm so glad to have finally created a thread that has made quite a stir. My work here is full of lockers.
  6. Some interesting stuff in here. Like the locker policy. Make sure to check out the comments with the link. Yikes..... http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=296367
  7. Dells to Louisville is easily an eight to nine hour drive (with traffic). You might need to recalculate some of your days.
  8. One. It's not wise to openly post your email in a forum. Two. Please do not use "Text" talk. We spell out words here at Theme Park Review.
  9. I'm not sure I'd call that one under rated. Everyone loves that one.
  10. Lake County roads are a joke. I've had good luck with the Mundelein po-po. Quick to respond, and very nice.
  11. And David Stern wonders why people keep bringing up conspiracy theories.
  12. The demand should still be met, by Bryan singing "Birdhouse in Your Soul" to TPR. No audition. Just him singing. I DEMAND it!
  13. Yes, SFGAm was fun! Nice to see you again, BM! Next time, you come out, you must hit Little A-Merick-A.
  14. I wouldn't say they suck. I liked them. Opinions are like....well you know. Everyone has one. A more descriptive reason on why you think the expansion packs "suck" and "aren't worth anything" would be more helpful.
  15. Ok, first. I don't think any park builds things for just "coaster entusiasts." We're a very small percentage of the paying customers that comes through any park's gates. We're just the loudest, and squeakiest wheel, so to speak. Second, Disney is absolutely designed for annual, or more than onte time a year visits. I think just reading these baords you'll find that to be true. Hell, go to a Disney forum. There's tons of nuts that visit multiple times a year.
  16. I'll echo this sentiment. Howard the Duck rules!
  17. ^ Yeah, didn't read the itinerary very closely. Good luck! And hope you do a PTR!
  18. When EPCOT was what it was supposed to be, a park for edutainment, it did. It's lost it's focus lately. Management does seem to be adjusting the park back to it's roots, which is good. The park does hit a broad spectrum of people, it's the people that are the problem. They want to be thrilled, not educated while being entertained. It's a sad state of society. NO.
  19. To which I see you did not do before posting this exact same thing in the Saw thread. And you actually went back and editted this after my reply....what did you change? It's still awful to read. Matt "Strike Three is coming" Jacobs
  20. Agreed. Perfect addition for the park.
  21. I think WDW has more issues that need to be looked at then adding a 5th gate. With the exception of MK and EPCOT, the other two parks are not full day parks right now. That needs to be fixed. AK needs at least another E Ticket, and more sit down eating choices. DHS needs to refocus on what type of a park it is. Since the studios left, it's kind of a lost soul. I also wonder if anyone ever thinks about the staffing of a fifth gate. Where would Disney find these people?
  22. Um, no. Really. Is this a necessary thread?
  23. Last year in June, Derek and I went on a Friday evening. It was more crowded than I expected. I'd expect the same on a Saturday. Definitely hit the half pipe as soon as possible, since it's not a people eater. It'll depend on SpongeBob and the crew working.
  24. When I head up there, I do Nick Universe the first night I'm up there. You can do everything in a couple of hours, including re-rides. And there's a ton of places to eat in the mall, so I make it one full evening. I'm not sure you'll want to stay at Valleyfair two days. I'd say it's a 2/3's of a day park. Just make sure to head straight back to Renegade at opening, so you can get some re-rides before the line gets too long. Although, I've never been in line more than 30 minutes. You should head straight down to Iowa on Sunday, and make it back Monday for the Big Mike Road Show at SFGAm!
