  1. ^ I'm sorry, how exactly do you mean "Six Flags failed floorless coasters five times"?
  2. Am I only the one who recognized this as sarcasm?
  3. I too have been wondering if the park Pandemonium is getting relocated to is MM. It would certainly fit well in Vu's footprint, and the land is pretty much already cleared. I think Pandemonium along with some kind of drop tower would be a perfect pair of additions for 2012.
  4. I think any of the above would be great! There are still plenty of types of ride experiences that are unrepresented at KI.
  5. I'd have to say it is hands down the worst Boomerang I have ever been on.
  6. I thought about the triple Carolina names too haha. I think I might be ok with Raging Bull. Although it doesn't totally strike me as an inverted name. I usually think of an inverted as a flying type creature. Like Fire Falcon or something. But I'm sure they'll end up just reusing Goliath again. Not that the GP really cares.
  7. It's not so much that I hate Deja Vu as a name. It's more that I like how Crackaxle Canyon has retained it's theming nicely, and they have a chance to make the ride fit in with that really well, and Deja Vu just doesn't really fit the bill. And you're right, it is a little silly to have a ride called Flashback right next to a ride called Deja Vu. It reminds me of when AstroWorld had a Texas Cyclone and a Texas Tornado at the same time.
  8. ^ I disagree. I really hope they change the name to something more blatantly Crackaxle Canyon-esque.
  9. So when I went to Lake Compounce, I thought I was just going for Boulder Dash. But it turns out, it's an adorable, nicely landscaped, reasonably priced, EXTREMELY well operated little family park in a beautiful setting. After I peeled myself away from what has become my #1 coaster (even above El Toro), I found the amazing Sky Ride, awesome water rides that get you soaked, a great flats selection, including an S&S Screamin' Swing, a good S&S Turbo Drop with clever theming, awesome employees, as well as fried bats and potato patch fries. I would say it was would be well worth the $17.95 I paid to get in, even if there was no Boulder Dash. But there IS Boulder Dash. So this is definitely the best small park I've been to by a mile. I still need to make it out to Holiday World though. That might change my mind.
  10. ^ So I guess SFNE will be adding Deja Vu AND a 270 ft coaster named "Giant Inverted Boomerang"?? Wow!!
  11. I just caught wind of a new rumor. Apparently Six Flags New England has bought the former Moonsault Scramble ride from Fuji-Q Highland and will be tearing down the Cyclone to make room for this new first-of-its-kind-in-New-England shuttle roller coaster in 2012.
  12. ^ Maybe they'll take that 22 million, tear that piece of fecal matter down and build a B&M Giga. Apparently CF has no problem building one in a park that recently built a B&M hyper.
  13. So I definitely understand why this is a good move for CW. I don't think the general public is going to realize just how similar to Behemoth this is. They're going to see commercials for a giant new roller coaster and want to go ride it. And with more than three million visitors every season, CW can use another high-capacity people eater, and with Behemoth as wildly popular as it is, it makes sense that they would simply take the same concept to the next level. So I'm not mad at them. I get it. But personally, I wish this amazing-looking beast was going to another park. The main reason for that is, aside from Behemoth, the rest of CW's lineup is SO lackluster. I really really REALLY want to ride Leviathan, but it's hard for me to justify making a ten hour car trip to ride a couple of amazing coasters, and then fill the rest of my day with, a boomerang, an SLC, a Zamperla flyer, a couple mediocre old Dinn woodies, a wild mouse, a crappy Arrow looper, a Togo standup.... you get where I'm going with this. So for my own selfish reasons, I wish Leviathan was going into a park that has a good supporting cast of coasters that make the whole trip worthwhile. Also, I have always had this fantasy about how if I won the lottery (I'm talking about like the $300 million jackpot) I would build an amusement park, and I would have a hyper in my park and I was going to call it Leviathan. Lol. So now I can't do that. Bummer!
  14. Steel: Kingda Ka Wood: El Toro (Which only beats the Rattler by a mere 2 feet, so special shout-out to Rattler!)
  15. This is exciting! For me atleast, since I'm close to SFNE. Not so much for West Coasters. I really hope it's getting a new name and theme to fit into Crackaxle Canyon. And that the removal of Flashback follows soon after.
  16. ^ I absolutely agree, Freeze blows Poltergeist out of the water.
  17. This makes me miss Texas so bad Great TR. Fiesta Texas has the best theming of any Six Flags park hands down. IMO atleast.
  18. This looks great, can't wait to see more!
  19. 1. Six Flags Over Texas 2. Six Flags Great Adventure 3. Lake Compounce 4. Six Flags Astroworld (RIP!) 5. Six Flags Magic Mountain 6. Six Flags Fiesta Texas 7. Six Flags New England 8. Kemah Boardwalk 9. Las Vegas
  20. They need to just not run two trains. Lol. The line never merits two-train operation anyway.
  21. I love the theming and pace of Gullywasher at SFFT and Blizzard River at SFNE, but as far as wetness goes, and also for closely simulating the feeling of actual white water rafting, my favorite is Thunder River Rapids at Compounce.
  22. You worked on A Boy and His Blob?! That game is so cute it makes me want to crap in my pants! Who's idea was it to make the control where you can hug the blob?
