  1. Wow. Thats a pretty big mess up. Too bad for those kids. I could only imagine being in their situation. -RD
  2. I did two days by myself there in 2004. Things weren't bad at all. I actually checked my luggage at Guest Services the second day because I had to catch a train that night to SC, but besides that the single rider lines were great. I like going to parks by myself because I can move at my own pace. Really allows for a good day. No one to drag you down. -RD
  3. Anytime anyone reports a neck injury or says there is something wrong, the park or place will throw them on a backboard. It is standard procedure for most places. Neck injuries are very serious. I don't know what happened at PGA, but I would guess it was a precausion. -RD
  4. Yes, Vortex, Top Gun, Demon, Invertigo, Taxi Jam and Runaway Reptar all have open stations. No cover. -RD
  5. I wish I wasn't so busy yesterday. I was running all over the park taking care of stuff. It's been great hte past two days, rain has threatened but never hit. -RD
  6. Glad you had a good time at the park. It was a pretty good day yesterday. -RD
  7. I wish i could of made it on Monday. Send over those pics. I might actually have some time tonight Sean... Haha. Good one. -RD
  8. I met Yellowcard the other day at School. -RD
  9. That is the exact same ride as far as track length and height. The ride vehicle is a box shape with lapbars, almost like an old fashioned pirate ship ride. Rows facing one another on a "Skateboard." But besides that a very similar concept. Yesterday was great, I got a few rides by myself also. First chance to do that. Don i'll holla at you tomorrow when I get a chance on the cellular about Wednesday. I'm set to be at the park around 2! Rick you and Gwen are coming back tomorrow right? I'll be around all morning till around 5. So hit me up. Ahh can't ever get enough of the pGA. -RD
  10. United States of Course... Mexico England not that crazy. -RD
  11. Waterworld is old and ghetto. Their half pipe slide added last year was the first addition since 1998. I used to go here a lot during middle school and such way back in the day, and it was fun at the time. Since though, the companies which have owned the park have not taken care of it properly and allowed for it to become a crap hole. It really isn't a good place to visit anymore, and not taken care of very well... Although I will miss the Cliffhanger and Cobra. -RD
  12. Good to see you today Rick. Hope you had fun while it lasted. It was a long day, but I got a few rides in myself. It was fun to work the event though, glad thos pics turned out well. -RD
  13. That is what we thought at first too, but we were the first ones in there the next morning, unless security went it? I'm not a big believer in ghosts, but who knows what this was. I just know I still get the creeps looking at it. -RD
  14. Ok... Edit.. My friend found the photo.. Now if you blow this up and look closely at the white object, it looks as if it's a water bottle... A few things: - The water bottle has curves around the hips area? - The water bottle would of been gigantic, this photo was taken from teh back of the theater, looking down towards the stage. See the back of the seats in front, and the top of the stage at the top of the photo. - This photo was taken about an hour of abnormal sounds and cold spots in the theater. Complete darkness. It was lightened in photoshop orgionaly. - Lastly two her left, those appear to be something else, but they could be children? I have a few friends who were in the theater about seven years ago and watched two children dancing on the seats playing ring around the rosy. Could these be the children? -RD Taken in 2004.
  15. I have seen a lot of interesting stuff at PGA over my time there. One time while walking back towards the ecology shed (What would be Boomerang Bay) we heard a loud metal cover shut near Rip Roaring Rapids tower 2. We quickly all scattered and went back to investigate. It wasn't a slight, shut it slammed with a lot of force. I have also encountered numerous different cold spots and have seen a few hazy spots in the showtime theater at PGA. We were in there one night with our camera's and such just trying to find something. We were taking picture after picture. My friend went home and found an interesting picture on his camera. It appeared there was a women standing on teh stage of the showtime wearing a white gown. There were two children sitting next to her on the stage. We thought it was a water bottle, so we went in the next morning and searched all over, not to find any water bottle or anything that resembled what we were looking at. It's still unexplainable today. -RD
  16. I have a few good one from PGA myself. I have been there with friends late at night and seen some interesting stuff. I will elaborate once I get more time. I have to study right now. -RD
  17. Intamin Halfpipes are powered by Lims. This has a drive system built into the car. Therefore there is no coasting at all. It is powered by a tire underneath the vehicle. -RD
  18. I think this might be a good time to assemble our NorCalCoasters DVD that we have talked about for a long time. NorCalNonsense Does the Midwest. A six day reality web show for the TPR viewers... Can't wait for the trip. I am flying in the day before everyone else because I got a free plane ticket, so I have to spend the night in Louisville Oh well.. I think I really will think about the reality NCN Trip. -RD
  19. ^ Something we will have to look in. I'm sure by Day three of this trip we are going to be exhausted. I can't wait though. All the exhaustion and lack of sleep will be well worth the trip. I'm sure we will be passed out on the way back, hopefully I don't have to spend the next day at PGA. -RD
  20. ^ We will most likely leave Cedar Point by 9PM and go about halfway that night. Then get up the next morning and book it over to SFGam. Maybe we should just try to get there overnight, and sleep in... That should help with the traffic situation. I wish we could do Michigans adventure, but the Car ferry is def. something to look at. -RD
  21. For some crazy people I guess. It will be worth it in the end. I'm sure we will find ourselves stopping midnight a few times. But it's much better than our first plan. -RD
  22. I'm enjoying another Gordon Hefe right now. -RD
  23. So I think we have updated our plans. No 100% yet, but a little more logical travel wise. June 2: Arrive Ryan Only... Louisville June 3: SFKK June 4: PKI June 5: Cedar Point June 6: SFGam June 7: SFStl June 8: Holiday World June 9: Holiday World (Relax) June 10: Leave from Louisville 6 Parks, 59 Coasters. No more than five hours driving a day. -RD
  24. As before mentioned by a few people, Survivor provides for a very unique ride experience. ALmost a floating over the hill. It's kind of hard to explain, but that is why I really enjoyed it, besides my legs flying over fireballs about five feet away. Really is a unique ride. -RD
  25. Pay Day.. Whats that mean, well I haven't just relaxed for a while. So I bought some good food, and headed home for a beer. Gordon Hefewiezen. Pretty good. But mainly nice to relax and have a beer. -RD
