  1. Im not going to go into detail, but I must say.. It can be uncomfortable, at least I had a few rides that weren't great. It really isn't that bad though. -RD
  2. So the park's gonna miss 5 people? Yea I mean common.. An enthusiast boycott will help the problem all the more! Aye.. Oh well. At least I know PGA added one quality ride this year, Survivor. -RD
  3. I think my worst time at a park was at SFMM. We got to the park last summer, it was hot as hell and lines were so so. We get in line for Batman and the tunnel leading under the station smelt horribly of piss, which was even worse with the heat. My friend got so sick he couldn't ride, and I didn't feel too great after. Next up was Riddlers. Line was at the bottom of the stairs and it took nearly 45 minutes to get us on. The ops were the slowest I have ever seen. Finally we thought we would give Goliath a shot, after walking through a literal shower in the queue line with all the broken misters, I was nearly drenched head to toe, we get up into the station to watch the ops all fool around. It was a pretty bad day. We left after that. Probably two hours in the park.... What a waste. At SFMW before I got in a verbal confrontation with one of the ride ops and he actually threatened me after he allowed some of his friends to line jump. It was great! -RD
  4. If it keeps giving me a paycheck, then I'm happy with it. The park's attendance has only grown since the removal of Stealth, the waterpark addition last year gave PGA one of it's best years in a long time. It sucks we lost four rides in four years, but it's reality. After 30 years rides become hard and expensive to maintain. -RD
  5. Go all the time. I'm there five days a week, and I gurantee you it's the real thing. Top Gun is one of my ride groupings and I hear the music every morning. and night. It's cool, I respect your opinion. -RD
  6. I have been on both versions. I prefer the Florida version for one reason, the random drop profiles. I know DCA is getting them soon enough, so I'm not sure which will be better. The mirror room in DCA's is awesome. The Florida version had the great queue line which really builds the story up. It's a tough decision, but as many have stated before, no way does the DCA version suck. -RD
  7. What are you talking about? That soundtrack has been there for all 11 years the ride has been open? I think your a little confused. -RD
  8. I'm writing a stupid research paper soo.... (Zoltak, 2005)
  9. There are most likely 4 of us going on the trip as of right now. Sean (The Menefee), Al and Kelly. As far as HW goes, they want to spend two days there. I guess just to have as much voyage as we can get. That might work out well. SFKK closes at 10 that night, so we might hit up Beach Bend first, then head over to SFKK for a few hours. I would imagine that isn't a very big deal. -RD
  10. Hey Everyone, I need some advice. A few of us from NCC are planning a trip back east to Kentucky, Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio. We plan on visiting June 2nd - 10th, possibly 11th. Here is what we have laid out so far for our trip: June 3 - Arrive in Louisville, KY at 11 a.m. - Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom June 4 - Paramount's Kings Island June 5 - Beech Bend in Bowling Green, KY June 6 - Holiday World & Splashin' Safari June 7 - Holiday World & Splashin' Safari June 8 - Six Flags St. Louis June 9 - World of Fun or Silver Dollar City or SFGam June 10 - Leave Louisville, KY and head home Does anyone have any suggestions. I know we missed Indiana Beach, but besides that, what else are we missing? I know we are doing a lot of backtracking to get back to KY, but they want to leave out of KY again. I have never been to any of these parks and I know that many of you have been around to these parks. Any suggestions would be great. We are trying to keep costs down by visiting Season Pass parks mainly, but anything would be great. Also on Friday June 9 we can't decide on which park. Both SDC and WoF are about 4 hours from SFStL. Which would you visit? Thanks again for the advice, -RD
  11. FYI, The skycoaster is 170 ft. Only 10 feet shorter. So it really isn't that big of a difference. Not like SFMW's where it's only 100ft and you have no free fall sensation. I didn't pay for anyway, I'm a Skycoaster Site Controller, so any flight on a Skycoaster comes at no cost. Glad you had fun. -RD
  12. Yea, that was one hell of a trip. Dude some day we are gonna get you on Drop Zone and Xtreme. Face it. -RD
  13. Well yesterday was the grand opening of PGA's Survivor the ride, well actually "Technical Rehersals." After a long hard day at the park, I joined up Al, Sean and Kelly for some fun. One of them won wristbands so we could stay in the park till 10. None the less, lets get to the pics. BTW, Survivor really is an awesome ride. I rode twice yesterday, and a few times the day before and it is certainly a great re-rideable ride. Check it out! -RD We ended up the night pretty much with a flight on Xtreme Skyflyer, then a ride on Flying Eagles. Good times at PGA. So RLD Time, now it's Top Gun time. Sean, Al and Kelly pose for a picture while we wait for the front row. Sean reppin da Bling! About five seconds after this picture was taken Sean hid the bling in his shirt out of fear of getting his arse kicked. Sean "The Money" Menafee knows how to roll at PGA. He actually bought a fat bling necklace. It was time to holla at some ladies afta da Drop Dizzle ride. Pimp hats and Spinna's in hand we roll. Drop Zone Time. Notice the vacant seat... Where is Sean... Oh he didn't "want to ride." A final night shot. Notice the Pyro.. I missed it by a few seconds.. Oh well. I have plenty of other oppurtunities for Pyro Pics. Al and I posing on our first ride of the night on Survivor. Orange Section of course. The queue house. The middle TV will play the interactive part while the side two will measure the noise level. Flying Disko! Another shot. Now some fun. Sit in the section between the Orange and Pruple for the best ride. IMO Headed straight back to Survivor to get some pictures for NCC. The enterance. Rolling up to the VIP lot and checking out Skytower. Driving down 101 after I had to go back home to change.
  14. There is a bit, but the restraints don't allow for much. Once it really gets going you feel it. I'm gonna try to get a few more rides today after I get off at 4. -RD
  15. I rode today also a few times. I had five rides on Friday. I love the ride. Really a great addition to PGA. I'll have pics up tomorrow night hopefully. It's bedtime. -RD
  16. Survivor should be running in "Technical Rehersals". -RD
  17. I'm sort of in the process. I graduate May of 07, but I have an internship next Spring, so I have to figure that out before the end of the semester. Besides that, like Elissa said, I'm a Rec and Leisure Major and we deal with a lot of non-profit. Non-Profits usually have pretty good salaries and such. I am not looking forward to the job search, and hopefully it won't be all that bad. -RD
  18. Scary thing is... We haven't heard back from Wally tonight? Is he alive, or is he stuck on a toilet? -RD
  19. I def. don't wanna see the after pictures, but this is hilarious Wally. I saw it and was like WTF?!? Hope those pills worked out. Haha. Good Luck -RD
  20. I really like the Apricot Wiezen. It's pretty tasty. I wish I had a cold beer right now. Maybe i'll go buy a six pack. -RD
  21. "Just a Little Bit" - 50 Cent.. For some reason I'm hooked on this. -RD
  22. Haha. The Ol E post! Can't wait for that. Cheap and an Achoholic! Don't you love the piss beers! -RD
  23. I'll be at PGA. Well I'm always at PGA haha. Hope to see some people there! Maybe you will luck out and Survivor will be open? -RD
  24. You Are Samuel Adams You're fairly easy to please when it comes to beer - as long as it's not too cheap. You tend to change favorite beers frequently, and you're the type most likely to take a "beers of the world" tour. When you get drunk, you're fearless. You lose all your inhibitions. You're just as likely to party with a group of strangers as you are to wake up in a very foreign place. That pretty much sounds like me. -RD
  25. Yea, that is indeed the famous Full House Park. Those houses are known as the "Painted Ladies." Don't ask me how I know that. Looks like your having a good time. Enjoy SFMW today... Haha I know Wally will have a good time spending his second weekend in a row at SFMW. -RD
