  1. Thanks for the information. Some good information. Even if some of these will never be built, it is always amazing to see what those imagineers have up their sleaves! -RD
  2. Those signs are supposed to be pretty cool actually. I heard that the signs will move, and some have a few other features to them which will be pretty cool. -RD
  3. I just posted an update over at NorCalCoasters.... yes I know its been a while. Needless to say, photos from todays announcement are up, as well as a bunch of concept art released by the park. SFDK Media Event 1/17/07 The park put on a nice event it looks like, and Shapiro and company were around to take picture with the many animals they had waiting outside. Thanks to Scott for these photos. -RD
  4. All of the interaction programs existed before, some advertised well, others not. I just spoke to Scott (Old Crow) who was at the announcement.. Some more details. - $16 Million invested into the park for 2007 - Most in the gigantic 3D signs around the park. - New Acrobatic Show in the Jungle Theater. - New 4D Movie in the motion Simulator. Scott also mentioned the media event was really well done, everyone entered through the Blue Water Bay Cafe and listened to Shapiro... Then walked back outside and they had every animal imaginable outside, including all the elephants, cheetahs, alligators, etc. Looks like it would be a nice investment for the park. -RD
  5. THere ya go.. So basically, just a new theme and name. The entertainment offerings look alright. It should be interesting to see if the park pulls everything off. There is also a video on this site: http://www.sixflags.com/whats_new.asp -RD
  6. The announcement is going on right now. I wasn't able to make it over to the park, but Sean and Scott are there, and hopefully I will receive word as soon as Shapiro finishes. I'm not expecting anything amazing, but anything new will be nice... Family or not.
  7. Yea, its been pretty tough. Cruise week before last, and now Don and Monica dragged me back down to DLR... Such a tough life. Hope your doing alright man. -RD
  8. I got a call today from the park. It looks like the park will be making their announcment soon. I'm supposed to be there, i'll get an update once I hear more. -RD
  9. I rode tonight, i liked it. Wasn't the most amazing thing, but it was fun. I will get a chance to ride Screamin tomorrow sometime. -RD

  11. Let me know when your around Rick. I'm leaving tomorrow for a 7 day cruise, but will be back on Dec 30th and I'm off for a month. -RD
  12. So I decided randomly this weekend to take a trip on Monday. It was actually pretty random and had me driving all over the place. Anyways, take a look... Time to leave... The view from my apartment Elevator shot. My car... The 2005 Scion tC Time to hit the road.. Hmmm... Where to. I think I'll just drive. Random Trees... Gotta love Golden Gate Park Across the Golden Gate Bridge. I haven't done this for a while To Don and Monica's house I go. Yea, I went up to hang out with Donica as Rick likes to call them. Played a little Wii. Jesus vs. Adolf Hitler on Wii Sports Adolf beat Jesus in bowling, but dont fret.. Jesus came right back and whooped up on Adolf in baseball and Tennis. Supporting Wally's retirement.. Budweiser! This game, "Electrobits" is pretty fun on the Wii. We had a good time ripping apart a house. Played for a few hours. Then watched some old Disney movies... Then went to bed until suddently... I was awoken by the glass on my back. I guess an ornament fell off the tree while I was sleeping and well... I rolled over on it, a few times im sure. Time to hit the road again. Ohh! SFMW... Too bad the park isn't open. Thats right, we are headed to Nut Tree. Finally get our credit. Nut Tree! Monica in the Tractor on the Harvest Coaster. Pretty fun ride. We went through twice. On-Ride Self Shot. Another shot. It has a nice little layout. Bye Nut Tree Where to next?? BJ's Brew for some lunch. This one is for Rick. The pizookie! Damn good! We took off and decided to make one last stop. The Jelly Belly Factory. Yep... Gotta love the hats and free candy. Baked Bean.. Horrible. Yea i tried it! Jelly Bellys all over. Gotta visit this place if you haven't been before. Plus its right next to the Budweiser tour so you can go get some drinks and then eat some candy, or just visit Wally. A final shot of us from the Jelly Belly Factory. Then it was time to head back home. -RD
  13. Any friend really that wants to go... (Don, Monica, Wally, Rick, Sean, Al, Scott, Amy, etc) and most importantly my loving gf. -RD
  14. As far as I know, yes. It was the drug and achohol story. -RD
  15. Skycoasters are very, very safe... I'm pretty sure all accidents are due to human error. A few including achohol and drug use. I'll let someone else share the stories though. So yea, don't get the idea that they aren't safe, as most stoires come from just plain stupidity and people fooling around.
  16. He was probably just screwing around (bad), anyways, each morning you are supposed to do a "First Flight" in which a certified site controller does the first official flight of the day. Sounds like he was porbably playing around with the launch release, as there isn't much else with in reaching distance up there. -RD
  17. Great Photos! I miss the snow. -RD

  19. Yea. being a Skycoaster Site Controller is awesome! I have been one for four years now, and being able to ride any skycoaster is a good bonus. Its nice to know the inside outs of the skycoaster too. Too bad they dont provide much of a thrill anymore. -RD
  20. Thank you, Wes. Having watched sports almost religiously for as long as I can remember, the first "fist pound" I witnessed was by Dee Brown of the Boston Celtics, sometime around 1991-92ish. Yea, Anyone who has been involved with Sports for a long period of their lives has been pounding it since they have been young, at least I have. -RD
  21. Nice to see the pics. Kind of gets me pumped up for my cruise in a month.. Dec 23-30th. Can't wait! -RD
  22. The store I was at today said they were expecting more in tomorrow. They had about 53 units. They should be coming in almost weekly I'd assume. Then again, I'm not working best Buy this year. I'll keep my ears glued. -RD
  23. They should be in rather rapidly. I'll try and talk to my buds at Best Buy and see when we are getting a shipment in, and see if I can grab another before Thanksgiving. -RD
  24. Yea, I feel bad now. I told Don that he could have it if no one bought it, but I upcharged quite a bit, and I didn't want to do that to you or Don. I wanted to make some money out of the deal since I spent the night on the freezing cold asphault. -RD
