  1. http://haunt.CAgreatamerica.com is Live. All the Gory Details are listed there.
  2. It was down today. Speaking of today. Great Day at CGA!
  3. Mine are pretty slime, but I'll take them, better than none. - Kings Dominion - Cedar Point - Kennywood - Camden Park - Busch Gardens Europe - California's Great America (Ok... I live here) - Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Plans for later this year - Knott's Berry Farm/Knott's Scary Farm - Disneyland - California Adventure - Six Flags Discovery Kingdom - Six Flags Magic Mountain - Seaworld???? Been a pretty quite year.
  4. Projekt Revolution - Linkin Park - Chris Cornell - The Bravery - Ashes Divide - Armor For Sleep - Hawthorne Heights Great Show! Not as good as Projekt Last year, but still had a great time. Now its time for Warped on Friday!
  5. Nice photos Rick! Looks like you guys had a great time. I haven't been to London since, 2004, and I think your photos convinced me I need to go back. Hit me up next time your at CGA. Maybe one of these times we can actually catch up. -RD
  6. It is going to be a good haunting season at CGA. Anyone interested should def apply. The entertainment at the park is already gearing up and ready to terrorize Northern California like it's never been before!
  7. I've ridden both within the last two weeks and The Crypt is def. the nicer of the two, but Firefall is fun in it's own way. Crypt has a much nicer theme, but firefall's lake of fire is gigantic compared to the crypt. Hope that helps a little.
  8. I went to BFD from Live 105 on Saturday. Really good show. Here is who I saw. Atreyu MGMT Anti Flag The Kooks Everlast (Good to see him after so many years) Akaline Trio Flogging Molly Pennywise (These guys are getting old) Cypress Hill So they had another tent setup after the main show ended, we headed over and got to see Moby. He was pretty damn good on the 1's and 2's. Good Show overall. -RD
  9. They are playing Great America next Saturday? Night.
  10. The lower area will have fire effects. The flames should look pretty impressive with the ride running.
  11. Its a tax charged to all SFDK tickets per the Six FLags purchase last year. All tickets to the park are subject to the 2.5% tax which goes directly to the city since Six Flags now owns the park. It has nothing to do with the bankruptcy and was put in place before the discussion started.
  12. Congrats! Good luck.
  13. ^ Is your pass from KBF or another park? Like I said, KBF runs a little different than the other CF parks due to it being year round. Robb said his is from Valleyfair, and I know Great America's passes are not valid past 12/31, I would assume similar to the other parks.?
  14. I recieved: - Costco Membership - $45 in Starbucks Card - $100 American Express Check - $20 Target Gift Card - 2 Cinemark Movie Tickets - "Disneyland: Secrets, Stories, and Magic" DVD - Pajama's - Quicken - Chocolate - Some other undisclosed cash amount from the grandparents... - Present to myself, tickets to tonights Sacramento King's Vs. Boston Game. Can't wait! Family Gifts (Although I probably wont play again for months, I will play a lot this week.) - PS3 - Guitar Hero 3 - Rachet and Clank - Uncharted - Blu Ray Planet Earth Series Quiet Christmas this year, but that is the way I like em. Happy Holidays everyone!
  15. Robb, The pass from Valleyfair is only good at KBF thru 12/31. All CF passes except the KBF annual pass are valid 1/1 - 12/31. (As far as I know the KBF AP is now a Platinum anyway?) I know the Cedar Fair pass system very well... ' Hope that helps.
  16. Fall Out Boy Plain White T's and Gym Class Hereos on Thursday. Damn good concert.
  17. Actually Invertigo was repainted two years ago, and Taxi Jam last season.
  18. Special thanks to Six Flags for their hospitality last night. A very nice event put on by the park. I was very impressed with what I saw the short time I was there. I look forward to seeing he whole park lit up.
  19. I have a degree in Recreation and Leisure, Commercial recreation and currently work in a management role for a large theme park company. Most of the advice that has been given is very sound. I would say you really need to get into something early and just work your way up. Like others have said, it will take time, as a lot of the theme park people have spent some time. A recreation degree with a busines minor is a perferct degree to obtain. One of the best things about school was being able to write and do projects on theme parks, or even hold discussion in class about theme parks and their marketing techniques. Depending on what sector you get into, there is a lot to learn about the busines, and the travel industry which could carry your elsewhere. Really though, there are many options to get you where you want. Just remember your going to have to spend some time working your way up. Hope that helped a little.
  20. When I was there in 04 for IAPPA, we took the bus everyday. It is cheap, but like the other said, a long ride. The bus also does not run park hours, so there were days where we would have to leave early to make sure we made it back to I-Drive. If you can deal with it, it really isn't that bad.
  21. The aftershocks continue. I think we are arond 30+ now. There was one about 5 mins ago which was really close to 3.7 magnitude, largest so far.
  22. Wow. I felt it alright. I ran outside to see the signal lights shaking about nearly a foot each direction. Im just nervous for the aftershocks... Hope everyone is alright. Luckily I didn't loose anything.
  23. CGA has 20 items for $20. I think I may do some shopping today.
