  1. Mmmmm... ich liebe Käse! My favorites would be Gouda (I can make an excellent pasta sauce with Gouda cheese) and I also like Brie cheese with grapes. YUM!
  2. I love Tokyo, Amsterdam, and also Venice as my favorite vacation places! My best Friend Markus and me in Venice
  3. ::drools:: Wow, all of that looks incredibly delicious! Not exactly Japanese food, but did you notice the strange fascination with Kentucky Friend Chicken when you went to Japan? Colonel Sanders is everywhere!
  4. Besides going to theme parks, where do you guys like to vacation? What has been your best vacation that you've ever taken? My favorite would have to be visiting Tokyo in the winter of 2002. Everyone is so nice there, the food is incredible, and it was amazing seeing my family again after years of not keeping in touch! I also really like taking vacations in Italy for the wonderful beaches and also Amsterdam for obvious reasons
  5. Exactly! I don't know why people care so much about how this ride is called! The new coaster for Six Flags Fiesta Texas could be called 'inverted steel thing' for all I care, a Batman clone is still a good coaster and a good addition to the park.
  6. OASIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Wow, I never thought that some schools would really fit that sort of stereotype! I always imagined the film to be a satire of how stupid teenagers are! There aren't as many 'categories' I guess you would say, here in Germany as there are in the USA but of course we have girls who are plastics too and the Goths... etc. However, I honestly don't know what category I would fall under.....? Maybe European?
  8. I always deny it, but I love the series "Germany's Next Top Model" and also listening to J-Pop... my favorite is Ayumi Hamasaki
  9. i is a burrito lol
  10. A friend of mine recently visited Las Vegas in the States and he told me that it was allowed to smoke inside restaurants, bars etc. But then he visited Los Angeles and it was not allowed. Here in Germany, there is a smoking ban in most of Baden Wurttemberg (the state that I live in) but in other parts of Germany, it is still allowed to smoke in Disko's and in bars. Is the same true for the states where only some states are allowed to smoke inside bars? I think it's quite annoying to go to a bar or a disko and not be allowed to smoke.
  11. new avatar of my best friend Emily and myself at the Oktoberfest 2007!
  12. So I did a search for a topic similar to this but I could not find one so hopefully, I am not repeating an old topic! A lot of my friends think it's absolutely disgusting, but I love eating my fries with ice cream or milk shakes! YUM! Oh, and I secretly listen to late 90s pop! (ie: Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, Take That, Robbie Williams etc...) What is your guilty pleasure?
  13. I am currently a second year student at Eberhardt-Karl-Universiät in Tübingen. My Hauptfach is Psychology and my Nebenfach is English. Hopefully, I will be able to study in a bigger city such as Stuttgart or Heidelberg next semester!
  14. ^I agree. Irregardless of the meaning, I still think Pony Express sounds lame for a roller coaster.
  15. it is my dog looking very cute, as usual!
  16. I hope Phantasialand! I really want to try out Black Mamba!
  17. Expedition GeForce although I haven't been to Holiday Park in a very long time!
  18. Yes, I have heard that there is a sequel to the film! But I also heard from a friend of mine that it is not as good as the original. It is too confusing and has too many plot holes. I read the summary of the second film online and it didn't sound as interesting as the first. But, I haven't seen it so I can't say whether it is good or not! Nevertheless, I agree.... Japanese school girls shooting each other off is the coolest thing to see ever! Especially the crazy scene between the girls in the kitchen! OMFGWHATWASTHAT?!?! The American film company, New Line Cinemas has bought the rights to a remake... and what's worse, there is a film called 'The Tournament' (which is a complete rip-off of Battle Royale) being filmed in the UK right now. BOO! I am not sure how I feel about this! The original was so amazing, and I do not want Hollywood to cast some dumb 'popular' actors to make some money! The original film had a cast of 15 year olds killing each other off (sounds horrible! I know!) but it was what made the film real and so shocking. Unfortunately, due to the shootings at Virginia Tech, the filming was pushed back and the remake will not be released until 2008. I tried to check on IMDB.com but you need to have ProIMDB to view the information about the film!
  19. Champagne Supernova - Oasis
  20. It sounds like your brother lived in a very liberal part of Germany though! Berlin or Köln (the gay capital of Germany) is maybe very similar to a city like San Francisco, Los Angeles or New York. However, many parts of Germany (for example Tübingen, the city that I live in) is very conservative and old fashioned. For some reason, I always picture the States to be very accepting of all kinds of people, including gays. Sure, there are homophobic people there but that is too be expected! I just think gay culture is so much better in the States than it is here.
  21. In my dormitory, there lives a Japanese student and he borrowed me the film, "Battle Royale." I had no idea what the movie was about but I heard that it was a huge hit in Japan and I decided to give it a chance. OMFGWTF!!!!!! Has anyone here seen this movie? It is the sickest, most twisted, but BEST movie I have seen in a very long time! For those who are in the dark about it like I was, it is about Japan in the future and how corrupt the government and teenagers have become. Taken from the film, "At the dawn of the millennium, the nation collapsed. At fifteen percent unemployment, ten million were out of work. 800,000 students boycotted school. The adults lost confidence, and fearing the youth, eventually passed the Millennium Educational Reform Act - AKA: The BR Act..." The Battle Royale act is basically randomly selekting one class in Japan and putting them on a remote island. The objective is to try to have only one survivor left and that survivor would be declared the winner. Okay, the plot sounds a little silly but trust me it's a GREAT film! Has anyone seen it?
  22. I am gay and very proud of my sexuality. Unfortunately, it is not as accepted here in Germany as it is in California....
  23. Lately I think a lot about Disney's California Adventure because I am really curious how the new renovation will look when it is completely finished. ...oh, and Tokyo DisneySea is another park I think about all the time. Even though there aren't that many rides there, the park itself is beautiful and one of the most enjoyable theme parks that I have ever visited! Next time I'm in Tokyo, I am definitely going there again!
  24. The last concert I went to was Electric Daisy Carnival at Exposition Park. It was from 4 PM to 4 AM and was the sickest show I have ever been to! Infected Mushroom was there as well as Deep Dish (both of who were absolutely AMAZING!) Here's a pic:
