  1. There are a lot of things that go into a good coaster, you can't really just pick one of the elements you posted.
  2. No. Would you eat pizza with smiley faces on it?
  3. It's still around here too, but it costs way more then it should.
  4. ^^ I completely agree with you. We rarely ever played anything, just practised skills over and over. It would've been nice to put those skills to the test more then once every 2 weeks.
  5. ^Yeah, you're right..but I still think they could've picked a better man in the yellow hat.
  6. Look what's coming! I'm not liking the cast..I don't think Will Ferrel will make a very good Man in the Yellow Hat..and I have a feeling this will go in the same direction as the Grinch and The Cat in the Hat, and not live up to it's potential, but I love Curious George and will definately see this as soon as it comes out.
  7. ^ Likes Starbucks a lot. V Drinks Starbucks more then me.
  8. Awesome. My boyfriend's friend was trying to convince me that this game isn't worth buying, but I'm not sure I believe him..it sounds fun, even if it's supposedly really easy. Now to find a game cube.
  9. I still don't understand why the parents would allow their seven year old to go on a ride like this by himself. Even if I knew a seven year old to be responsible and able to follow rules, I think I would still ride with them to make sure, or at least have them ride with someone else. I'm glad the park was found to be not at fault for the boys death. The article mentions that there were issues with the park itself, but the boys death could've been avoided if someone was riding with him. Many of the lawsuits I've heard about lately don't seem to be the fault of the parks at all. :?
  10. If I was walking around on the top of a lift hill, or if I had to evacuate a train near the top of one I'm sure the height would terrify me, but when I'm strapped into a train it doesn't scare me at all..so uhh, neither. You should add a new choice to the poll, there have been lots of 'neither's.
  11. I need a game cube and this game! Looks much better then the version I have now. What's with the dancing in the boat?
  12. Alaska - Between the Buried and Me
  13. I had my cartilage ring ripped out on a coaster this past summer. Although there was no rule saying earrings had to be taken out for this specific coaster, it was my own fault for leaving it in while riding..although if I had taken it out, the hole would've closed after 10 minutes or so anyway. I like the bandaid idea, Mind Eraser. That would probably help keep things from being ripped out.
  14. I've seen signs on a few coasters saying you had to remove all facial piercings, and some even ear piercings, but I've never seen a ride-op actually ask someone to remove their piercings.
  15. I'd delete this, but the little x in the corner is gone.
  16. No, it doesn't. There are too many dumbasses in this world, we need to stop allowing them to survive and then mate with other dumbasses. Let Darwinian theories play out the natural way.. Haha. Oh, I agree with you..but until someone carries out a solution we'll be stuck with stupid rules and warnings. Do they really need to write 'don't use while sleeping' on instructions for a hair dryer? Someone must have done it if they wrote it on the package.
  17. I've never been to the park, so I can't really have an opinion on it besides what I've heard from others. I'm just sad I never got a chance to ride Ultra-Twister [have never been on a coaster like it, so would like to experience it], but I guess it's probably going to another park so there's still hope for me!
  18. I hate that it works that way, but I guess it has to. I didn't really notice them being extremely anal at IOA when I was there in August. Obviously they were about larger things, but people were looping flip-flops through the seat belts on dueling dragons, and carrying smaller things onto both that and hulk..the ride ops didn't really say anything about it. I had a fanny pack on one of the days I was there, and the ride-op on hulk just told me it couldn't get in the way of the restraint, but otherwise it was fine.
  19. I still find the themeing for Hurler very...weird. Baby limbs going into a meat grinder? Looks like you had a lot of fun, but if I ever go there again I'm skipping Hypersonic. Ow.
  20. Magnum, and it's the last coaster I'll ride until May
  21. I've never been on Grand National, but I really want to after all the positive feedback it's getting. I voted Lightning Racer.
  22. I was terrified of coasters until I was 8 and my mom's friend who was visiting from Germany dragged me onto Vortex at PCW. I didn't go on any trips for the purpose of visiting amusement parks until 2004, when my then best friend now boyfriend showed me pictures of Cedar Point and said he'd wanted to go there for seven or so years. He was a coaster enthusiast, I just thought it'd be fun to go, so a few minutes later we were planning a trip to Cedar Point and Geauga Lake. We had an amazing time, and my interest in coasters and riding a wider variety of them grew, so we decided to go back to CP this year and also went on a two week road trip trip to Florida, stopping at several parks along the way. We have a couple trips already planned for next summer. I can't wait.
