What are your TOP TEN COASTERS
StarTrekGeek replied to ddaver177's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
STEEL: 1. X2 (Six Flags Magic Mountain) - S&S 4D - The ride flips you like nuts! Love it! - First Time Ridden: 12/23/2010 2. SheiKra (Busch Gardens Tampa) - B&M Dive Machine - Well, I'm in love with Dive Machines. That drop is just insane! - First Time Ridden: 11/28/2008 3. Goliath (Six Flags Magic Mountain) - Giovonala Hypercoaster - Hands down to the best hypercoaster I've ridden (though Silver Star is the only other one I've ridden)! The best drop tied with SheiKra, the intense turns... <3 I wish Giovonala was still in business. (though B&M looks just as good)- First Time Ridden: 12/23/2010 4. Tie with Manta (SeaWorld Orlando) and Tatsu (Six Flags Magic Mountain) - B&M Flying Coaster(s) Two flying coasters I've ridden: two amazing rides! First Time Ridden: 7/26/2009 (Manta) 12/23/2009 (Tatsu) 5. Blue Fire (Europa Park) - MACK LSM Launch - Best launched coaster I've ridden yet! - First Time Ridden: 6/18/2010 6. Incredible Hulk Coaster (Islands of Adventure) - B&M Sit-Down Coaster (with a launch) - Best themed coaster and an awesome launch! - First Time Ridden: 12/21/2007 7. Montu (Busch Gardens Tampa) - B&M Inverted Coaster - I like how it nearly touches the ground! - First Time Ridden: 7/31/2008 8. Silver Star (Europa Park) - B&M Hypercoaster - The airtime on this thing is incredible! - First Time Ridden: 6/18/2010 9. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit (Universal Studios Florida) - Maurer X-Car - Unlike most people, I actually love this ride. The vertical lift is amazing and so is the double take. The music aspect is awesome too! - First Time Ridden: 1/16/2010 10. Dragon Challenge (Islands of Adventure) - B&M Inverted Coaster (Dueling) - Regardless of how the queue has been changed, the ride is still the epic ride I know that conquered my fear of coasters. - First Time Ridden: 4/7/2006 WOOD (I've only been on two): 1. Gwazi (Busch Gardens Tampa) - GCI Wooden Coaster (Dueling) - The ride has a nice layout and it duels nicely! - First Time Ridden: 8/18/2001 (I think) 2. Giant Dipper (Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk) - Arthur Looff Wooden Coaster - The tunnel in the beginning is fun, and this is a great classic! - First Time Ridden: 7/26/2007 -

So Screamscape is reporting this morning that Universal could be replacing Jimmy Neutron with a Despicable Me attraction, and that Kong 360 could return replacing Disaster: -

I can definitely see another Windseeker happening in 2012 at Kings Dominion if all goes well with the others. -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
StarTrekGeek replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I came up with three possibilities this were to be from B&M: 1. B&M Hypercoaster - Well, like some of you are saying, this park lacks an airtime machine, so this could be good. 2. B&M Dive Machine - Some of the stuff asked by RIT labcoats about splash effects, make me think this could be a Dive Machine too. Also, the 212 ft. height fits a Dive Machine. 3. B&M Wing Coaster (or whatever Raptor at Gardaland will be called) - See my thoughts on the splash effects for more information. And if Hersheypark wants something unique and never before seen in the area, it could be this. Any one of these would be good (I also wouldn't mind an Intamin ride), but we'll just have to wait and see. -

On that link, they are calling the ride a "Wing Coaster." I wonder if that's the name of this new B&M product. Anyways, I'm very excited about this project! I hope something like this comes to the USA soon (I wouldn't be surprised if it was next year)! -
Best B&M Standup
StarTrekGeek replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I decided to post both my favorite and least favorite. Favorite: Mantis at Cedar Point. I know some people bash it, but I love it. Least Favorite: Vortex at Carowinds. Not that I dislike it, but I consider it weak compared to the other Stand-Ups I've ridden. -
Best American B&M Inverted coaster
StarTrekGeek replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have only ridden 3: 1. Dragon Challenge - Islands of Adventure 2. Montu - Busch Gardens Tampa 3. Batman: The Ride - Six Flags Magic Mountain If it wasn't for rain at Knott's Berry Farm, it would have been 4 (Silver Bullet). Anyways, my favorite is Montu. -
Best Drops....
StarTrekGeek replied to BiCoastal Kid's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A tie with SheiKra at Busch Gardens Tampa (what can I say? I love vertical drops!), Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion, and Millennium Force at Cedar Point. -
What is your local park?

Boomers (though I don't really visit, but we could be going soon). EDIT: Nevermind. -
