  1. Great photos. I really love Epcot, although it is definitely the strangest park ever. Can I go back yet??? I haven't gotten my postcard yet, but I'll keep an eye on the mailbox!
  2. The pirate ride was still open when Raptor opened. I went to Cedar Point in 1994 (Raptor's opening year) and 1996 (Mantis' opening year). For our 1994 visit, we rode the pirate ride. In 1996, it was closed.
  3. ^^I love your sig. I have ridden Mantis at Cedar Point, Skyrider at Canada's Wonderland, and Shockwave at Drayton Manor. I like and dislike them all. I loved Mantis, but I only rode it in 1996 so I'm sure it's gone to crap since then (that was its opening year). Shockwave was my 69th credit, although it was pretty boring. The zero-g roll was pretty cool. Skyrider is kind of boring, but it has its endearing qualities, like its random trick-track and noisy helix. So I'd have to say Skyrider is my favorite, if only for the nostalgia. I remember checking my height at the saddle every year until I was tall enough - then when I was tall enough, I was too scared to ride!
  4. I hate Kingda Ka. The launch is fun, but then it's RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE... ooh look we're at the top! RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE... oh, it's over already?!
  5. OMG, that's what I was thinking! Thanks for pointing that out, Adam! (although Derek claims the haircut was a dee-dee-dee accident)
  6. This poll is pointless, because you left off Wild Mouse. That is a coaster, and many people would pick it as their favorite at BPB, myself included. Why bother making a poll about which coaster is your favorite at a park if you're not going to include all the options?
  7. GREAT pictures! Wow... I can't WAIT to go to Holiday Park.
  8. WOW, that looks amazing! I love top spins, but all the ones I've been on had really short cycles and weren't intense at all... I would LOVE that version!
  9. It's not scary at all. It's just slow and boring as hell. The first drop is nice, though!
  10. Derek, your pictures look like crap. What happened to your camera?! And those are pretty much the exact same shots of Talon you took last October when we were there. Oh well, you're still awesome!
  11. ^And if you ever happen to get up to Buffalo, give me a call, hmmm? Heath, I DEMAND you make this your avatar.
  12. I hate when people type "should of" instead of "should have"
  13. Mmmm.... Gibson... Yeah, listen to Wes. Go play a bunch and see what you like best. The only thing I would be wary of is a Fender Stratocaster. I have one of those. It's fine, but some models have a "floating bridge" because of the whammy bar, which causes the dumb thing to go out of tune like crazy. I took the bar off and it's okay now, I just need to tune it like three times before I play.
  14. I totally agree, and I am all for smoking bans in public places. Outside I don't care so much, but it's just not fair to non-smokers in a small, enclosed area like a restaurant. Just like people can eat a horrible diet and clog their own arteries, but they're not clogging the arteries of the people around them. When people smoke, they're damaging their own lungs and the lungs of those around them. (needless to say, non-smoker here!)
  15. I've obviously never been to Disneyland, but I LOVE MK's Space Mountain. It actually scared the crap out of me the first time we rode it back in March. (and it TOTALLY has airtime!)
  16. You're weird. But she's totally hot, so I approve!
  17. 90% from me, 10% from you. How is that fair?
  18. The park is nice, but there is not much to do there. It is also set up kind of weird, with lots of twisting paths and no central anything. The layout is really haphazard. The whole time Christine and I were like "They should tear this down and build a coaster" about everything we saw. With some work, I think it could be a good park, but I don't know if I can see this happening due to its weird location in the middle of farm country.
  19. Heeey, how about you guys take that to PMs. Yes, Mind Eraser was her first "upside down" coaster, and she liked it. I am hoping Superman will run better later in the season, they are probably rehabbing the other train. It was not on the transfer track.
  20. Way to be a ray of sunshine, Joe.

  22. ^^Yeah, we were both mad exhausted and just wanted to go home when the park closed. We ate bagels with cream cheese at Tim Horton's for dinner! ^I rode the log flume, does that get me any points? Christine wouldn't ride cause she didn't want to get wet... but this log flume doesn't even mist you. So I chatted with the ride ops at the top of each hill.
  23. ^The one at Darien Lake came first. Let's not forget that! By the way, they spelled my name "MICOLE". WTF?!
  24. We rode the Sea Storm. What's not working properly on it? The only thing I noticed was that it had no roof!
