Great pictures. That hotel looks gorgeous, and Europa Park is pretty much at the top of my "to do" list. Thanks for sharing! -
A Girlfriend that Honestly Loves Coasters?

I love you. Let's get married. -
Don't worry, you'll discover girls/boys/maybe both pretty soon and be done with this "wet dream". Or you'll find out you can't afford to actually build a park, a few years down the road. Good luck!

Yup, I realize this. At this time, I'm just starting every section in the park, putting the main attractions in. I'll go back and landscape the whole park and add other small rides when I'm done. -

I live relatively close to Crystal Beach, and my parents used to take me there all the time to go swimming and go to the park when I was little. However, the park closed in 1989, and at that time I was still not tall enough to ride Comet. I did get on Giant Coaster its last year of operation though, the side friction coaster. And then the WORST part was the Comet was in storage at Fantasy Island for a few years! We all thought they would build it there! I still hear some dummy park patrons at MFI claim the Silver Comet is the Crystal Beach Comet every once and a while... -

No and no. The original plan was to get some crepes, but we ended up not doing so. It was so crowded, we went from coaster to coaster, not stopping for anything, and finally before we rode the last coaster at like 4 pm we had pizza. You suck.. but I still love you. -

A Girlfriend that Honestly Loves Coasters?

Agreed, and it seems like most of us who DO exist got into parks from an early age (as a general interest I mean, "enthusiasm" sometimes comes later) through location or family or something like that. Didn't your parents go to WDW for their honeymoon, Nic?? And in my case it comes from spending time in Florida with my brother as a kid. Yep, my parents went to WDW and BGT for their honeymoon, and my dad would always go to parks when he had to go to a different city for work. Worlds of Fun, Opryland, and Florida stuff. I guess growing up half a mile from an amusement park helped too. My parents used to bring me to Fantasy Island, Crystal Beach, Marineland, and Canada's Wonderland all the time when I was little. So yeah... I blame my parents. -

? What about Lou or Elissa, then? Nyanko is a girl, dummy, and she was being sarcastic. Just for the record, I was a coaster enthusiast before I ever met Derek... young female coaster enthusiasts that were not dragged into the hobby by their boyfriends DO exist, however rare... -

Where did you hear that Rye is taking out Zombie Castle and the Flying Witch? Personally, I think that would be a very bad move for the park, as those were my 2 favorite rides there. Then again, I AM a dark ride fangirl. ::edit:: never mind, it's true. Wow, that sucks. Oh well. What's up with the park not owning its rides anyway? -

So, I haven't had time to work on this lately, and with Harry Potter book coming out I'm probably doomed. Here is the theming I did for Triton: Station and outdoor gift shop "water splash" dip into a pool -

Great trip report, Robb. I'm glad the place was smoke free for you, because I hate going to a place where smoking is allowed. In addition to the room being hazy, when there's a lot of smoke you can't smell or taste anything, you smell like smoke when you get home, and your throat and eyes hurt the next day. I love smoke free NY! And just for the record, I know all those late 80s/early 90s bands, and Depeche Mode remains one of my favorite bands to this day.

Nice pictures. That stuff you did in Philly looks really cool, I love historic stuff like that. And man, what a dorky looking tour guide you had for Dorney. -

Close! The dip was inspired by Nitro, the helix of doom in the middle by SFOG's Goliath, and the lift hill is kind of a mirror image of Kraken's lift. -

Random piece of trivia: Triton was inspired by three B&M coasters. Can anybody guess which coasters? Hint: Turn out of the station, lift hill, turnarounds. -

Splash Acres I added a couple rides for the family, a small slide and swan boats. And here's an overview of Splash Acres: Triton Also, over in Ancient Greece, a new coaster has been built: Triton, an Intamin hyper! In Greek mythology, Triton was a god of water and the sea. Big dip out of the station Up the lift, woo There are some airtime hills in between that I didn't take pics of, then: The turnaround (plus stats) Then some more airtime hills and: Return to the station. I have since added a station to this... lol What do you guys think? -
