  1. Off topic, off topic, off topic. This thread is an abomination. I for one am excited to ride Behemoth next year.
  2. Funny, cause I think this ride has a crappier layout than every B&M hyper except Silver Star and Goliath at La Ronde.
  3. Good, that's exactly what I was going for.
  4. Don't listen to exzantia. Get there before opening, run to Goliath first. Then hit the low capacity stuff (pretty much everything except Cobra and Vampire). Dragon you probably won't have to wait for because everybody forgets it's there, plus it has a pretty long train. Le Monstre will probably only run 1 side unless it's busy. You cannot ride the kiddy coaster unless you have a kid, pretend kids around you are with you, or get lucky with a ride op who doesn't care. When I was there, Vampire got a pretty significant line (1.5/2 hours) but it was an abnormally busy day. Get crepes, my biggest regret from my visit was that I didn't get a crepe. Hope you have fun! I heard many bad reports from La Ronde but when I visited, I had a great time, even though the park was packed! *edit* whoops, didn't realize this thread was so old! Sorry guys! Oh well, maybe this will be helpful to somebody else who visits the park in the future.
  5. ^Well it will be interesting to see what happens to ridership on the other coasters once Behemoth opens. No matter how it turns out, it will be the best coaster in the park, so park patrons go from having a choice of a bunch of mediocre coasters, to having a choice of a bunch of mediocre coasters or one semi good one. Plus it's back there in the area with TR and TG, so we'll see!
  6. Ontario Place's log flume owns, and you know it. You are just jealous, because CW doesn't have a log flume any more. I miss the Ex.
  7. Closest "big" city = Philadelphia, PA Closest "city" = Reading, PA ::edit:: Near my hometown: Closest "big" city = Toronto, Ontario Closest "city" = Buffalo, NY or Niagara Falls, NY
  8. ^^^If coaster designers thought that way, we'd still only have wooden coasters. You have to experiment to find awesome new things. Imagine if B&M had never made the clamshell restraints, or even got into hypers at all? So anyway. I'm glad CW is finally getting an "original" ride. Yes, it's very similar to other B&M hypers, but it's not an exact clone. This park was very overdue for a higher capacity coaster, and they are finally getting it. Of course, right after I move away from it! hehe
  9. I was concerned about that too. I looked into it, and here's how it stacks up using Nitro as a "typical" B&M coaster: Behemoth: 8 cars/train, 32 people/train Nitro: 9 cars/train, 36 people/train It's just like taking out 1 row. However, I still think the seating is stupid and will cause confusion when people try to get into their row, unless they handle each 4-person car like a 2 rows per car train.
  10. ROS was running beautifully a few weeks ago. Anyway... I can't wait for the announcement!!!!!
  11. 1. Pay off my student loans 2. Buy a more reliable car than the one I have now 3. Buy a house 4. Pay to get my stupid teaching certification 5. Put the rest into some sort of savings I'm boring
  12. Yeah, no way it's a dive machine. Also if you'll notice on the dive machine track, the ties go straight across, whereas in the other B&M track, they kind of go in a V at the center. I still say it's a hyper. Goliath at La Ronde is only 174 feet tall, technically not a hyper. Could be a floorless too, as Canada does not currently have one. I'm going to rule out dive machine because of the track, invert because LaRonde has one and CW has a SLC, and standup because both parks have one (and who wants a standup anyway?! ).
  13. I doubt it. The picture has little to nothing to do with the actual ride. For example, think about TV commercials. When Darien Lake was flagged, I remember seeing Viper at SFMM being billed as S:Ros. They're just telling you it's a coaster, not that it's a B&M whatever.
  14. I don't like how some of you guys are just dismissing this based on Wonderland's previous record. The park is owned by a totally different company now. I don't mean to keep plugging CWMania, but they're the only site that has pictures as far as I know. Here are some construction photos: http://www.cwmania.com/photos/thumbnails.php?album=124&page=1
  15. Yes, but now CF is controlling it, so who knows. Oh, and IT'S NOT DOMINATOR!
  16. It's definitely a roller coaster. If you go over to www.cwmania.com in the photos section, they have a bunch of construction photos. There are already many footers poured.
  17. FLAMP!!!!!!! ::dies:: It was super fun hanging out with you guys. I wish I'd met you LAST summer
  18. LOL @ the track being in the parking lot *with* cars...
  19. That "all in one train" is the most retarded concept I've ever seen. The front and back rows will be uncomfortable. How will it be heartlined? I bet the ride would be uncomfortable no matter where you sit. It won't work.
