Knoebels Discussion Thread
Mrlittle replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just saw this on Knoebels Facebook and thought it was funny.(even if the song is a little annoying now) They always seem to have fun with the videos. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] -
I'm not saying the coaster won't break down but the park is really good about getting Chunt back open. They also tend to run a lot of trains on this coaster even if the park is slow. This coaster you can see from other parts of the park to know if the ride is open. Honestly, you should have no problem riding it, even if it breaks down for a little while.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

So according to the latest Facebook post. They are announcing more stuff at 3 today. Any guesses? https://www.facebook.com/kingsdominionva/posts/10151580604846875 -
Hey, me too! I definitely was not wildly impressed, and didn't even bother trying to maximize my view. Single rider line saved me on the Matterhorn, especially since I initially didn't remember which credit I already had. While the ride is far from smooth, I didn't find the trains painful, perhaps in part because I preemptively held on tight to the bar. The left side seemed a little more jerky, but also slightly faster and more exciting. Put me on the not that impressed by World of Color as well. I wonder if it was our view? Yellow area. I feel the show is missing a story like all other Disney shows. I kind of felt bad using the single rider line on Matterhorn. The line looked to be at least 30 minutes and we rode both sides in less then 10 minutes. I agree that the left side was better.

A very smart move for the park. I also hope this is a new direction for the other parks to bring back some classic things and bring more charm into the parks. Cedar Fair, you get it. -
I kind of wish they would stop using so many movie tie-ins for the houses for HHN. I'm sure its going to be a fun even this year but it just seems like Universal is giving me homework. I now have to watch or read up on all of these movies to truly get everything in the maze. Maybe, I am just saying all of this out of jealously because I will not be going.

Mrlittle replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Will the Mini-New Hotness Tour be 2 buses? Just curious because of the price and days, it sounds like it will fill up quickly. -

Silver Dollar City (SDC) Discussion Thread
Mrlittle replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was very happy we decided to use our front of the line pass for the front seat. What a ride it was indeed in the front. Honestly though, I just love riding the coaster. I can't wait to get back to SDC (also a top park on my list) -
^ Paid parking areas will include the north and south sides of Seawall Boulevard from 6th to 69th Streets and 81st to 103rd Streets. The area between 69th and 81st Streets will be free of charge. The pier for reference is located on 25th street. Here is a story from ABC Houston on it. abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=9226822

Hey just wanted to let you all know that Galveston now charges you to park on the Seawall. It was free to park in front of the Galveston Pleasure Pier but now you will have to pay to park. They still have paid parking across the street but if your just doing a credit run for Iron Shark. It's not bad at just $1 an hour. Here is a run down on the parking prices. Seawall Paid Parking: Fee: $1/hour, not to exceed $8/day or $25/year annual pass Hours of Operation: 10am-6pm daily Payment Options: Pay by phone, select seawall businesses It's a $17 dollar fine. I know that because my friend got a ticket yesterday while in Galveston. Just wanted to give you all a heads up in case you plan to come to Galveston Pleasure Pier anytime soon.

Not to mention the park right outside of San Antonio which many consider one of the best water parks in the world. So 4 water parks that are doing just fine in one city. You can't say tourism helps it because I know Atlanta gets a lot of tourism. I think both water parks from Six Flags will be fine. I remember once talking to an upper management member of a park who said water parks are very profitable. Six Flags as we know is all about profit. I keep reading that some will no longer go for the combo pass but that doesn't mean you won't stay longer and spend more money at Over Georgia because now you have reason to.

I was looking forward to trying out X2 since I've already been on X. But I know I will be back in Cali in a few years. My nieces are already mad at me for going to Disneyland with out them. I'm still very excited for all the other things taking place at WCB. Crazy that its just in one week. -

Little Amerricka was an awesome surprise. I just wish I could of taken a photo of Laura the moment she realized we were about to get 4 new credits. Priceless look that I will never forget. TPR + Little Amerricka = Priceless Also, Hades 360 is the worse coaster I have ever been on. -
If your just the average person going on vacation then your not going to know about construction taking place at USH. It's not like they are going go to stop advertising the park. Yeah, I think USH and SFMM should not even be in the same sentence with the word compare. Completely different styles of rides.
