  1. I didn't even look over the prices twice. I just saw the three main words ERT, YOLO and LUNCH.
  2. It's probably going to be a very basic baseball statium. Not your MLB style stadium. An amphitheater is actually something you could easily build as well. A lot of the attractions out side of the park could be open in phases as well. Just buying the land is a huge step for a park. If they start construction soon, we don't have harsh winters so they could work on it all year and have it open by 2015. Let's just see what happens when the bulldozers come.
  3. See that right there is why I want to go with TPR to Japan. They will work there butts off (which always very appreciatively) to make sure we get to ride. Sounds like the system worked. Fuji Q despite the stories I have heard is one of those places I want to visit.
  4. http://blog.chron.com/primeproperty/2013/07/developers-close-on-land-for-new-caney-theme-park/?cmpid=businesshcat Sounds like Houston will finally get a theme park.
  5. ^^ your commentary on the ride is great because I probably be yelling out the same stuff. Looks like a very intense coaster. One of these days I will make it to Japan.
  6. From Grand Texas Theme Park's Facebook today. I believe this is the announcement of the land purchase and the start date of construction. Houston might actually get a theme park.
  7. So I booked my flight, hotel and car for WCB. I'm very excited since I haven't been to this area of Cali in many years. For you locals, how are the crowd levels at DL/DCA? (going on Monday Sept 9th) I'm assuming decent since most schools are in and its not really a vacation time.
  8. Just saw this on Facebook. It might be a lot of fun to ride Iron Shark really late at night.
  9. Yeah Ultra Twister at Astroworld had some speed on that first drop. They had just painted it a couple of seasons before it closed down too. Just a shame they never rebuilt it anywhere. It was a quick ride but nothing compared to the one with the dive loop.
  10. That is a sweet video of that ride. That thing is hauling. I had no idea there was so many ultra twisters rides still left. I thought there was just like one after the one at Astroworld closed. So your saying I can ride Jaws (which one of my favorite rides) and two awesome Ultra Twisters rides (which was always a fun unique ride at Astroworld). It's like reliving my childhood. Seriously, I'm going to start saving up for the next TPR Japan trip today. To much awesomeness in Japan.
  11. Yeah, I think Grand Texas will open before Earthquest. I've kind of given up on Earthquest. They only talk about potential investors and no real time table to get this started. However, I know Playland Park is coming to Texas City by 2015/16 and Grand Texas is supposed to make a big announcement soon. So two of the three parks proposed for Houston is not bad. Of course, we need to see those bulldozers before we get to excited.
  12. That rumor seems a little to out there. Not that its not entirely impossible. I see the rumor of the park focusing on the ET/Fievel/Barney area next after Harry part 2 is done. It's time for that area to get a much needed upgrade.
  13. ^^ I happen to still like Road Runner, thank you very much. Even if it is a rough coaster compared to Irat. Also, I feel there is only maybe two spots on Superman that rattle. It's still a great ride and probably one of the best floorless coasters out there. I will say this though, the track itself needs a paint job. I think its just gray in some spots now. Hmm, next year Superman becomes Bizarro? New paint job and fire
  14. The coaster is just broken right now, its not going to be taken down. They just spent money on painting the ride and it's a classic ride at the park. The coaster may not open this season but it will ride again.
  15. If I was Universal, I would change the name of the water park. Brand it as a Universal Studios Water park. Re-theme some areas, perhaps make the entrance different. Add a bunch of cool lights and trees. I would look into some other means of transporting people to the water park from the main resort. Add a few slides and what not. Lots of options they can go with the park. Very exciting to think about.
  16. They should advertise this park in America as the Universal Park where you can relive the past. One of these days I will make the trip to Japan just to ride JAWS again.
  17. Great report so far. Tokyo Disney looks great as always. The 1 out of 10 cookies thing would be fun for any party. Especially if you didn't tell them. I will make it to a Mega-light one of these days.
  18. Great video. That ride looks terrifying great. Between this and the Space Mountain rip off, I may just have to sign up for a TPR Taiwan trip in the future.
  19. Thanks for the great photos and videos as always. Looks like a fun trip so far. I also like that you just posted some vine videos from the trip on Twitter.
  20. I was curious as well so I looked it up. A few sites has the park listed around 364 acres. Looks like plenty of land for many years. Kings Island land
  21. ^ you should post the most up to date rumor from Screamscape. Where it explains RSR may still be built. Really though, instead of Radiator Springs Racers, can we use the test track technology to make a Pod Racer ride. I disliked the Pod Racing in the movie but I could see a fun ride made out of it.
  22. I could see them just building the Radiator Springs Racer to add to the Pixar land. Then using the rest of the money to develop a really cool Star Wars land.
  23. It actually looks great. I really like the name. I guess we do not know who is designing it?
  24. I enjoyed the show. I'm just really happy Travel Channel is continuing a coaster show.
