I have actually spoke to guy building the park. He is very excited for the park and is looking at a summer 2015 opening. He invited me to the warehouse where they are refurbishing the rides. I'm trying to get a video interview with him for my newspaper. I will post it on here if I get to. Here is a Press Release he sent me and told me I could post. It's very similar to the facebook post.

Silver Dollar City (SDC) Discussion Thread

Awesome report. I love the theming of the station now that its all done. They did a great job on it. Those trains just look so fantastic. The ride looks like it was everything it was supposed to be and more. RMC did it again. I can't wait to ride this during the TPR trip. Side note: I liked RMC on facebook a few months ago. They always post great photos of the coasters they are working on. -

Amazing video. Thanks so much Robb. Looks like RMC has another winner. I can't wait to ride it. -
I agree, and I wonder why no other parks have built one. They don't seem to take up a lot of space. They seem to be good on capacity. Also the GP loves them. They are great rides.

I actually got to ride both last year. I'm not really sure why I like Sheikra better. It could be the station and theming. Although the exit is kind of odd. Why is there always water at the exit? I enjoyed Griffon and thought it was a great ride as well. It just seems to lack something. Honestly, I think I just ranked Sheikra higher because its at BGT which I tend to like more then BGW. Not trying to start a BGT vs. BGW war.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

I remember holding my restraints away from me while riding Wild Eagle because it was sort of hurting. It was not unbearable for me but it was not comfortable either. I would hope B&M did some modifications to it. Maybe just more padding. -
Top Roller Coaster Myths & Rumors!
Mrlittle replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The one myth I hear a lot from friends is on the Kemah Boardwalk Bullet. There is of course the person who died on the at the top of the coaster when it first open. But there is also the coaster was so smooth before the Hurricane wiped out part of the coaster myth. Now when Kemah flooded probably did not help the coaster but a part of the coaster was never wiped out. I'm sure they had to replace a few pieces of wood but not whole parts. The things friends will say not to ride a coaster. Another myth I hear often is at SFOT on Runaway Mountain. Now you typically hear people say "oh dont put your arms up because they will hit something" on many coasters in the dark. However, I heard about someone who lost an arm on the Runaway Mountain at SFOT. I've actually heard similar stories from 3 people. As far as I can remember, I dont remember any actual reports on someone losing an arm on that coaster. -
I know exactly what you are talking about. I was the guy in the group who knew where everything was so I ran to get the fastpasses. Just the other day I had to explain the FastPass system to some friends who were going to WDW for the first time. They did not understand it was free. Now I will have to try to explain the new system. Maybe Disney will have a FastPass+ 101 class. I really think Disney will make the new system work and I'm not sure why people are worried about it.

It took me literally a minute to look it up. **There are two key differences between a Membership and a Season Pass: (1) A Season Pass expires at the end of the current park "season" (the date that the park closes for the current year) while a Membership continues until it is cancelled; and (2) a Season Pass requires you to pay for an entire season at a time in advance, while a Membership only requires you to pay for one month at a time. So for those of you who are keeping track, that means you get all the same benefits but your basically paying for your pass monthly. You have to keep the membership for 12 months. I rather pay at once for a season pass. That is what I was saying. I do not see the benefit of paying for a pass to a park during the months it is closed.
