  1. Sounds to me like that might be a generic survey Six Flags sends out, as those very details are being mentioned in the SFMM thread.
  2. Wow. I don't buy anything other than beer at parks, but that is definitely something I will make an exception for the next time I'm at Hershey.
  3. Based on many of the recent names- Blue Hawk, , Crazanity, tack a Twisted/Iron/Wicked in front of the name of a recently Rocky Mountain'd coaster, recycled names (Goliath, as an example)... I get the feeling that not a lot of thought is put into the naming process to begin with- so it probably doesn't matter.
  4. I was hoping that was going to be a one year thing...
  5. CoasterQueue shows it as closed. Not sure how accurate that is, but it claims to have been updated today at 12:10 pm.
  6. Wow, that looks like it was an absolutely epic time.
  7. Gatekeeper probably just needs to be Rocky Mountain'd.
  8. Twister II at Elitch is high on my list in this category. Perhaps not the worst I've ever ridden, but it's the one that immediately comes to mind. Certainly, it has more to do with upkeep (or lake thereof) than design/layout- but holy hell. I make Denver on Labor Day weekend an annual thing, so I'll give Twister II (and my spine) another crack in about a month's time. Rocky Mountain it.
  9. Enjoyed the report- glad you guys had fun. As someone who has been going to SFGAm basically my whole life, this park is right at the top of my to do list. I imagine it'll be a weird, but awesome experience.
  10. Planning on getting a few hours at this park towards the end of August. Does Batwing look like it's down for the count?
  11. Looks like an awesome time was had at one of my favorite parks. Wish I could have been there.
  12. Themed cell phone locker is my guess. Edit: haha, nice filter.
  13. Haven't ridden Vortex, but you should shoot for the front on any B&M Stand-Up. Also, keep your knees bent a little/crouch prior to the restraints locking so the "seat" stays a little lower. Don't ride like that, though- after it locks, stand up straight and lean forward a little. If you ride these defensively, you might enjoy them. They're really intense rides.
  14. Put up your firstborn as collateral.
  15. Lost Island Waterpark in Iowa was absolutely my first guess as to where Kanonen would end up.
  16. I fully expect Dorney to follow up with EagleHawk.
  17. Let's hope not, unless it's something like a teacup ride re-theme.
  18. That's an impressive looking ride. Definitely a unique layout- looks like someone was bored and playing around with No Limits. Glad to see S&S finally plant a big one State-side. Looking forward to checking it out. I like the name, and actually find it a little surprising that we haven't seen more sports franchise themed rides- especially in areas with a rabid fanbase. Pittsburgh was probably one of the more obvious ones.
  19. As a casual observer of this thread, I kind of feel like I've stepped into an episode of Hey Arnold!, where PATTYCAKES is Helga, and CedarFair1 is Arnold. *shrugs*
  20. ^ It opened Saturday. As for sightseeing, the park isn't too far from Krakow. Plenty to do there, though I won't offer specifics, as I haven't been since the early 2000's.
  21. If all goes well, Kings Dominion at the end of the month. Might sneak SFA in there as well. After that, a surprise return trip to Cedar Point on the way back to Chicago for round 2 on Steel Vengeance. Hope Volcano isn't dormant anymore by then, but not looking good.
  22. Saw Radiohead at United Center last night.
  23. Ahhh, I wish, haha. I thought my last weekend was packed, but that is an impressive itinerary. Looks like a blast- hope you have fun.
