  1. Cedar Point seems a bit out of the way based on where you will be traveling, but it's worth visiting. Another place that may not be so out of the way is Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.
  2. How long before the park waves the white flag?
  3. Not sure if the rides will be open, but it's really easy to get to on the subway. I believe the D, F, N and Q trains all make their final stop there. Oh... and this: http://www.scottspizzatours.com/
  4. Diamondback is probably the best coaster at Kings Island, although I wasn't too impressed with it from my experience. To me that park was more of a credit run, but since they have so much, it makes sense to visit. I don't think there's anything new for Knotts or CP in 2012 (except for the animatronic dinos). I do remember hearing rumors about a Giga at Knotts, even to the point that I've heard Leviathan was originally meant to be there rather than CW, but rumors are rumors.
  5. I wasn't aware they moved the Hall of Fame down to Cinci. I haven't been out West yet, but I can pretty much echo what chadster said about CP. I could ride Maverick and MF all day, and of course you have TTD as well. Beyond that, there isn't much that's too impressive in the park. There's other things you can do at CP as well like parasailing and you can rent a waverunner out on the lake as well. Whatever you decide, have fun.
  6. ^Some water jets at the bottom of the drop on the SLC would be really cool. And I'd love to see the new trains on that and the Boomerang.
  7. Definitely sounds like a scary experience getting to the park, but it looks really awesome once you make it there.
  8. I could see something like that. The Koch's could have an out after a couple years if things don't go so well.
  9. The Koch's obviously know what their doing when it comes to running a park. That said, Ed Hart would tell you that the fair board hasn't exactly been easy to work with. I hope we will hear some good news about this soon, but I'm not holding my breath.
  10. Happy Birthday Big Mike! Lock me in with 3 duckies...but I'm not sure.
  11. Sky Rocket in torrential downpours was pretty ridiculous.
  12. Congrats on 1000! I got some ways to go to catch up...
  13. Wow...that organization is a mess. Kinda sad really, even though I'm a Leafs fan. He's probably disappointed, but after this, I'm sure Cammalleri will be glad to get out of that gong show. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=384922
  14. I'm about the same height and somewhere around 300 pounds, and the OSTR's on rides like Storm Runner and Maverick leave me with tons of slack. I haven't ridden Cheetah Hunt, but assuming they are the same, I would think you would fit fine.
  15. I'm already struggling between Japan and Oktoberfest!
  16. ^You beat me to it. Crocodile bites at Knoebels. They weren't bad at all.
  17. Sounded like it was going to Zoomers in Florida according to this thread. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=39468&start=60 Great stuff Big Mike!
  18. Nice pics. Looking forward to seeing more.
  19. I remember the lift hills on Florida's Big Thunder Mountain were pretty deafening as it echoed in the mountain.
  20. Thanks for an awesome year of TR's!
  21. So much for it being and "adult sized" coaster. This makes much more sense though.
