Highlights of Your Season?
DougMJr replied to 2012jarrett's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Here is mine. *Best moment Getting Drunk at Mt. Olympus and then managing to come back from Timber Falls and Little Amerikka in one piece! *Best individual ride Outlaw Run *Funniest moment TGI Fridays, I'll leave it at that. *Scariest moment Arriving in San Antonio not knowing what exactly to expect out of my first TPR tour. *Strangest moment Accidentally having a friend get locked out of their hotel room while you have their key and are too sacked out to hear him knocking on the door. *Favorite individual park visit Silver Dollar City *Nerdiest moment Packing the bolts from Rattler in my luggage. *Best non-coaster related thing to happen at a park The bar at Mt Olympus *Best thing to happen on a park trip outside of the park City Museum *Favorite new experience Meeting everyone in the tour and making some awesome new friends. *Anything else you'd like to mention as a highlight Don't plug your nose. -
So glad I supported this project! I'm planning on buying no limits 2, but I have a feeling I will play this more. NoLimits forced me to learn how to make 3DS files as that was the only way to have a good looking station and environment. TPS will make it easy to make good looking coasters, stations, and parks. The whole package. NL2 will do one aspect of that, and do it better, but TPS will be more "well rounded."

I'm also wondering how often they have to sweep it out and how long that takes? The leaves will be falling really soon so near the end of the season that might be something they have to deal with. -
It really depends on one's definition of airtime. A train cresting over a hill at a reasonable speed will produce negative vertical g-forces. In some cases the amount of negative g-forces is negligible and the rider hardly feels it. In some cases there is enough force to make your body feel lighter as if it is floating (floater air). Finally, sometimes there is enough force to make the rider feel as if he/she were being ejected (ejector air). The threshold of negative vertical g-force necessary to qualify as "airtime" is pretty subjective. So I guess the answer is... maybe? In regards to being able to tell weather a hill will have airtime in photos, it depends. If one can estimate the speed at which the train will be traveling I think it is safe to assume that seasoned riders can "get an idea" of how much airtime there will be.

^I agree with you. I enjoyed Talon for what it was. Banshee sure looks great. I'm just not getting my hopes up about how great of a ride it will be. I just hope that this isn't the absolute end of the B&M pre-drops as I feel like they are a great first element and can still work great in future layouts. -

^They must have over-launched it and it flew off the top! I've seen it happen to countless space shots in Roller Coaster Tycoon, same principle apply here. -

For me, Superman Krypton Coaster is my favorite out of the three I've been on. Then Dominator, and Hydra takes last place by a mile. -

For $500 I'll drive the 4 hours it takes to get there and hold somebody's spot in line for them!
