^I think the issue is that people cannot control their height so they are generally OK with being told "no." But with weight they know that it is because of their lifestyle choices. Not saying it is right, I'm just saying that is probably why these policies are not already in place. Don't want guests leaving crying, "Six Flags called me fat! "

^I'm not sure if a Cedar Fair park would use Banshee. I remember that being the intended name for Mantis but they changed it for some reason. The ride art was then used for Steel Force at Dorney. But, times change and things change so who knows. -
The only argument I can make for seatbelts is that they serve a redundancy purpose should the lap bar not be fastened properly. I know that the lab par has built in redundancy should there be a mechanical failure, but the seatbelt is there should the lab bar not be fastened properly. Point being, we have entered the "YOLO" age where people turn off their brains as soon as they enter the park. Combine that with ride-ops making minimum wage and that one "bad seed" who doesn't do his/her job properly and the seatbelt is your last line of defense.

Something I have been thinking about, but can't confirm that it is related to this incident. I have always had a problem with ride-ops "forcing" restraints to close for people with irregular body perorations. I was at Darien Lake recently and saw two ops hammering on the restraint for Blast off in order to accommodate a larger man. I would argue that this is more embarrassing than doing the "walk-of-shame" as everyone in line noticed what is happening. I heard some rude comments after the rider exited after his ride from other park guests. Additionally, it is putting the riders safety at risk. I hope that isn't the case here. I understand that it is probably difficult for ride-ops to learn how to tell guests "no." Again, this is just my opinion, and not necessarily related to this incident as we do not have enough info.

Went to the park yesterday and didn't notice any construction markers around either of the lakes, but I didn't look too hard. As far as this project goes (not that we know much), if SDC does not shut down Outlaw Run because of NTAG's ejection then I think it is safe to assume that it will have little to no impact on the status of this concept.

^Gerstlaur made the trains, and therefore the restraint mechanism. That is the logic in his statement. I Feel bad speculating so soon after the accident, but I'm sure it will turn out to be ride op error. Also, the reported part of the ride she fell out on seems strange...doesn't seem like it is the airtime heavy part of the ride. It was after the double up. With those side walls on the train it would seem difficult to eject sideways.

I am a season pass holder, but I also filled out a survey that came earlier in the year and they referenced that in the email. So, I'm not exactly sure who they are sending it to. ^Interesting, I wonder what other surveys they are sending out. Perhaps they could do both a restaurant and a coaster, doesn't seem to out of the realm.
