^I believe they dampened the noise with sand, so it will not be that loud. -

^derp. Usually I'm good about that sort of thing. Writing a paper while trying to catch up on TPR is not the best idea. -

What park should have an Intamin Mega-Lite?
DougMJr replied to Montuman99's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree with MrSum for the most part, but I will argue that for some parks it might be a wise investment. Perhaps in a family-oriented park that wants to put something for the thrill seeker but will not scare the kiddos out of the area. Another possibility is a park like Fun-Spot. Their current expansion is phenomenal, and I think that a Mega-Lite would be an awesome investment in the future. And while the other coasters in that park are impressive, a mega-lite would steal the show. So, yeah you can't put it in a park that already has a good selection of coasters. But in a smaller park, I think it could work. -

I never rode it before the re-profile. I only greyed out the first time I rode it. The second lap I was fine as I drank some water before hand and kind of prepared for it. What exactly was causing the damage to the trains? The the sheer force or was it something with the shaping/snap? -

Kept an eye on the cams today, they kept stopping Gatekeeper at the MCBR for minutes at a time. Presumably on purpose for testing, but who knows. Also saw a few other rides testing, at least Mantis. -

^ Absolutely nothing wrong with that, to each their own. I personally loved the intensity, but almost graying out on that first turn was slightly annoying. It certainly isn't a coaster that I would marathon. -
Unnecessary Queuing Lines
DougMJr replied to palmerleeberry's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Finally returned to Universal and was surprised how short the lines were for Dragon Challenge. I went during spring break and waited over two hours for hulk! (I know right, my friends didn't want to spring for fast passes). But I was able to get on both sides of Dragon Challenge within 35 minutes. Just must be the operations, that thing can eat people. -
Or guests could be equipped with "zappers" to help eradicate flies and other vermin in the kitchen! Or, a guest from each deck can be picked by lottery to participate in the "Hungar Gamez." They will start out in the atrium, where several weapons will be scattered about and they will fight until one deck's tributes remains. The winning deck gets "food" and a working toilet for the duration of the cruise.

Floater or Ejector Air, your preference?
DougMJr replied to Coaster Curt's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I prefer ejector, but I will not pass up on B&M floater either. There is something relaxing about floater air.
