I don't think the video was horribly produced. The editing was adequate in my opinion. The family held it together until the squawking, then it got weird. The cheesiest moment was when the youngest started spinning "around and around and around." That being said, I didn't realize at first that two rides would be taken out for this attraction. Cedar Point is in need for some more family friendly attractions. While this doesn't add numbers to their family lineup, it does improve it marginally. Hopefully families will be addressed in a big way in the next few years. I'd totally be ok with them not getting a new coaster for a while... especially when they build coasters like "Gatesleeper".

^ It is by no means a bad hotel. It is just outdated. You can't beat the location though.

That is simply amazing. I can't believe nobody has thought of that sooner. I like haunts, so that would be something I would be compelled to purchase for sure!

^ I might be missing something, but doesn't Cedar Point already own something that is built out onto the water? The marina. I think if Cedar Point wanted to build a boardwalk they would find a way.

That area of the park definitely needed some TLC. Breakers needs the work. Overall I think this is a great addition for families.

Are the trains numbered as well? It might be easier to reference them that way.

I know that they are at least using that building for storage. I saw Moto's second train near the door of it earlier this season. Perhaps they are using it as a workshop for UFO's refurbishment?

I LOVE the formal nights on cruises. The whole "dress to impress" aspect of it is fun! Also, makes for great photos. I am in the camp that wishes formal nights would become even MORE formal!

I'm still at the park but thought I'd post a quick update. Predator opened late today so the surveyors could get in and basically point lasers at things and other fun stuff. Other than that, there is no real noticeable change on site. However, the ride-ops are very enthusiastic about Lake Monster, admitting that while they may not know much about it, there is a lot of talk and that they are hopeful about it coming next season.

Oh, I wouldn't be surprised if we see some new developments from other wooden coaster manufacturers at this year's IAPPA. Perhaps Gravity Group can put an inversion on a coaster that isn't trying to kill you with the rest of its layout. In short, I think Holiday World has plenty of options when it comes to doing something to Voyage.

I can't pass judgement on timberliners as my only experience with them was on Hades 360. I agree with this decision as they are probably not worth the time and effort at this point. Any idea as to why they just don't work on Voyage? I remember testing videos and the train seemed to make it through the course Ok.

Kinda lost tabs on this and completely forgot this was still under water. Seems like it sunk forever and a day ago. Can't wait to see pictures of the insides once they lift her up.

This is the only coaster that has ever knocked the wind out of me. Easily my new worst coaster.

If this rumor is true that is really a bum deal for Cedar Fair and Knotts. Really curious what the reason would be for CAL/OSHA to not sign off.

If you think that video is bad, they made one for shoot the Rapids as well (posted in the CP discussion thread). They didn't even get the right ride for that animation.

No, just Cuda Falls. When I went to the park in June it was fulled with green scum. When I went last Friday it was clean but empty. I think they are choosing not to open it this season just because they do not need to open it. The waterpark was pretty dead last weekend.

^^ Just looked up that ride, that looks like and awesome family ride and would be a great addition to many of the parks in the Six Flags franchise.
