  1. Apparently they once filmed a Porsche Commercial ON Python at Efteling...
  2. 3. Powder Keg 2. Maverick 1. Outlaw Run
  3. I thought this thread might help curb off-season boredom and potentially introduce everyone to some new music! I have come across a few music videos that feature cameo appearances by roller coasters and have listed them below for your listening/viewing pleasure (although not all the songs are very good). Manhattan Express Makes an appearance at 2:55 in Will Smith's, "Getting Jiggy With it," video. Dragon Coaster at Playland plays a major roll starting at :28 in Mariah Carey's "Fantasy." Silver Bullet (1:44) and Xcelerator (3:04) appear in Sun's - Fancy Free. Giant Dipper at Belmont Park appears at 0:40 in Dada Life's "Rolling Stones T-Shirt." [Kinda NSFW] The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach is the backdrop for "Fairground," by Simply Red. The Coney Island Cyclone appears throughout Beyonce's "XO." Soarin' Eagle and Tickler can be spotted at 0:20, Steeplechase can be seen at 1:04. Similarly, the Coney Island Cyclone and Tickler appear thoughout Wye Oak's "Holy Holy Holy." Wild One appears at 1:39, Joker's Jinx at 2:12, and Batwing at 2:16 in Jessie McCartney's "Body Language" featuring T-Pain ^Spotted by gerstlaueringvar Six Flags Over Georgia's Great American Scream Machine is featured throughout The Rolling Stones' "Paint it Black" [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]^Spotted by simaticable Dorney Park's Steel Force, Hydra: The Revenge, and Thunderhawk, appear throughout the Kids Bob Kid's cover of "Move Along" my the All American Rejects. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]^Spotted by YoshiFan If you know of any other music videos with appearances from roller coasters please share them! I will add to this first post periodically to create a "playlist" of sorts.
  4. Great TR! SFFT ended up being one of my favorite parks on the tour and exceeded my expectations. Such good times, I miss everyone. ^ And today is the Texas New Year! It's so important that the whole world celebrates. Just another "If it wasn't for Texas" moment.
  5. Two words... Kick Booty.
  6. I don't collect too many magnets myself but I hope to start once I move out and get my own place. I think magnets are a great conversation starter when guests come to your place. It can also act as a log of where you have been. Below are the only theme park magnets I have. My Small Collection
  7. I'm not a huge waterpark guy, but how could anyone pass this up? That looks insane! I saw the video a while back, but I think the stills do it more justice. Just that OMFG look all the riders have is priceless!
  8. Kinda wish they would have started the "damage control" a little bit sooner. I think it has gotten to the point where this letter might not actually help SeaWorld and will just give Blackfish more media attention. It would be great if an impartial third party documentarian could come in and make an object film on how SeaWorld cares for their marine life.
  9. It's like real life Trevor from GTA5... wow.
  10. This made me laugh more than it should have. Very punny.
  11. Wow, that's exceptionally ugly. Such Yolo, much effort, wow.
  12. Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly does this mean? Does Vekoma simply sell the product and RMC will still design, manufacture, and build the products? Does this mean that RMC track can be fabricated overseas?
  13. ^ I saw them at Artpark near Buffalo NY last summer because tickets were $5. In previous years the tickets were free at Artpark because they made enough money on beer to pay the band and still make a huge profit. This is a stupid decision, if they ever come back to Buffalo I'm not going to see them in protest. I wasn't going to see them again anyway but now I can huff and puff about it.
  14. ^ I don't think we are going to see anything too notable in that area until we get closer to spring.
  15. Mirabilandia has a pair of S&S Space Shots that opened in the 90s, originally named the "Twin Towers." After the 9/11 terrorist attacks they re-themed the ride to reflect the Columbia and Discovery Space Shuttles. The park did not change the names after the 2003 Columbia Space Shuttle disaster.
  16. ^And the ties on El Loco's track are so far apart! Feels like something out of K'nex!
  17. I personally think they look sweet. And they are safe, they are not going to fall apart. Why put a spine on there if it doesn't need it?
  18. POVs are a blessing and a curse. They are a blessing because the let one get an idea about a ride and determine wether or not they want to travel to that park to ride it. They are a curse because they set expectations. Everyone keeps bringing up Hades 360 and I wholeheartedly agree! The POV made me excited to ride it and I thought it would be a mildly rough but fun ride. That coaster swiftly and violently punished me for every expectation I had going in.
  19. And just imagine how much taller this beast will be when you use that to kinda get an idea of the scale of it! Mind blowing.
  20. Maybe, just maybe better than Raptor. After seeing how Oz'Iris was a let down I'm Skeptical. I think this will be up there, but will not overthrow Montu as my favorite invert.
  21. ^ I might be close considering in that "design" two of the overbanks appear to be 200+ ft. tall. I think most of us can agree that creating this monstrosity would be cost prohibitive.
  22. It is possible that they spent the money to re-track Mean Streak in order to "bridge the gap," so to speak. It seems that Six Flags has Rocky Mountain booked to capacity for at least this season, so perhaps Cedar Point couldn't get iBox track even if they wanted to.
  23. I wouldn't care if it was ibox or topper, as long as it's a good coaster.
  24. ^They didn't go through with the original color scheme? It seems close enough to me. Renderings are never 100% spot on.
  25. I'd take an ARM Drop Tower and an El Loco. They both might actually be able to fit.
