I LOVED Griffon, and I will hopefully get to ride Shiekra later this month! I also am a fan of dive machines.

It's pretty simple. First, create or download a white environment for no limits. Load up your coaster in that environment and screencap. Then in photoshop in the menu bar go to select > Color range. Select the white background and adjust the "fuzziness" to your liking. Make the selection and then delete it, now you can insert your background. -
^ Illness is really a risk you take when you sail no matter what cruise line. However when I sailed Royal Caribbean they had hand sanitizer everywhere! You know Cedar Point and Trashcans, Royal is like that with Purrel dispensers. It sucks when this happens and a lot of people get sick, but from first hand experience RCCL does a lot to enable guests to stay healthy.

I'm working on a new Rocky Mountain style wooden coaster. It turned out great, but didn't really look great. Because of this I decided to try to do my own custom wooden supports. It is going to take some time, but I thought I would share my progress by making a series of "hard hat tours" quickly in photoshop. I hope to have this coaster completely supported within a month, and then do 3DS after that. The lift hill went pretty quickly, but I imagine once I get to banks and inversions things will get harder. Below is the "concept art" for the coaster. The concept art Ok, now onto the tour! Not too much going on today. There was not much going on at the construction site today, but the park owners assured us that everything will open on time! Lift Hill They already have the lift hill topped off, that's a good sign. With only a 130ft drop this is the baby brother to Outlaw Run. But there is nothing baby about it! In the end Buffalo Bandit will be 900 ft longer than Outlaw Run! Lift Hill Porn I'll leave you with a look up the lift hill. They tell me that a the lift hill lighting will consist of lanterns hanging from the arches over the lift hill. Should give it that western look! How are my custom supports looking so far?

Looks good, and one of the best non-3DS stations I have seen. -

^Thanks AJ, yeah sorry about the font. Thought it kinda fit the whole western look. The outside banked turn I think works better than an airtime hill only because right now starting at the "outside banked turn" and ending at the "overbanked turn around" it is doing this cool "left right left right left" twisty motion that I think works. Appreciate the feedback though! -

This is my first coaster that I have created using Newton (that I'm posting). Obviously inspired by outlaw run and the other Rocky Mountain coasters. Notable Elements in Order 1)Rolling Drop (need to find the max angle still, not sure how to go about this) 2)Double-Up-Outside-Banked-Turn 3)Twist into overbanked turn-around 4)Zero G. Roll (Much like iRattler) 5)90 Degrees! 6)Airtime Hill into Bunny Hill 7)90 Degrees under lift hill 8)Figure 8 9)90 Degree "wave" turn. 10)Double Barrel Roll Still need to fix up the supports, scenery and landscaping. Also need to come up with a name. Once I make more headway I'll create a thread. -

Top Roller Coaster Myths & Rumors!
DougMJr replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That there is no such thing as a new wooden coaster. Some people believe that wooden coasters are old and that they are not made anymore. Specific to Darien Lake, people think that Predator is the oldest coaster there however Viper pre-dates it. -
Top Roller Coaster Myths & Rumors!
DougMJr replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've heard some people say that all roller coasters have a motor in the front car that helps it through the course, they are not talking about powered coasters but rather every coaster. -

Only one side, my OCD is kicking in! I guess it would be easy enough for them to just put up the other tower in the future if the demand justifies it. -

This is great for Fun Park, especially since Robb said you can spot it from Universal. I'm sure Fun Spot will be able to draw visitors at night who come just to do SkyCoaster. -
TPR Harlem Shake on a Roller Coaster?!
DougMJr replied to tbear212's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My defense of the harlem shake may or may not be because I participated in one :/ I get that it may not be everyone's "cup of tea." And honestly, from a creative standpoint, it's not creative at all. But at the same time, I think it is good for a laugh. There has been enough variety to let the great ones stand out (Dorney Park's my favorite), and the bad ones get ridiculed. I think the bigger issue is the Harlem Shake isn't really the Harlem Shake. Here is the Harlem Shake http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xt_4yv3_INw -
TPR Harlem Shake on a Roller Coaster?!

Perhaps the only reason I find the Harlem Shake somewhat enjoyable is because I'm into that Genre of music, although Harlem Shake is one of my least favorite Trap tracks. -
TPR Harlem Shake on a Roller Coaster?!
DougMJr replied to tbear212's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think it would have been great if this fad happened right before a Tour. Yes, the Harlem shake is overrated (and not really the Harlem Shake), but it is goofy and fun (kinda like TPR). -

Just going to throw in my $0.02 here. If Iron Dragon was removed, I think it would be a phenomenal idea to put a custom Vekoma suspended family coaster in its place. I doubt it would take up all of Iron Dragon's footprint so there would likely be room for something else there too. Don't get me wrong, I love Iron Dragon for what it is. But there comes a time when it just makes sense to retire a ride.
