  1. ^What program did you use to create that?
  2. I hope they do another graphic novel for their marketing this time around, I really enjoyed the backstory of Nemesis and Nemesis Sub Terra done through the cell-shaded format.
  3. From what I understand, the majority of the maintenance that took place on the ride was in the second half of the layout due to the high speeds at which the PTC trains navigated that section of track. By installing and enabling additional trims before and at the mid-course, the wear and tear on the second half the layout is significantly reduced, allowing for less intense/frequent maintenance of the ride. So essentially, the ride is more tolerable during the second half because of the lower speeds, and prevents excessive maintenance costs for the ride.
  4. I hate to bump this thread, but I was emptying out my emails today and I came across an email I sent to SallyCorp regarding Nights in White Satin. I was inquiring about the music track for the ride, a re-recorded version of the song performed by Moody Blues. The answer I got regarding the status of the song was quite perplexing. Rather bizarre. Anyone have any idea who exactly picked up the rights to the song when the park went Bankrupt? Here's a video of the ride with the soundtracked version of the song:
  5. That is truly saddening. I really hope they had their data backed up on some kind of external sever, so that they didn't lose all those years of innovation. Hopefully their insurance plan can get them back on their feet and back into the business ASAP. VVVV You can blame Apple's wonderful autocorrect for that.
  6. ^The Dolphins went backstage because the Rays needed a large temporary exhibit. They have three times as many Rays as they do Commerson Dolphins, so they could be placed in a smaller backstage tank. Now that Manta is open, I believe they have been put back in their tank by Atlantis. I'll check next time I go. I hope we hear more soon one exactly what changes they will be making to the park. I can't imagine any slides will be taken out, but will we be seeing any kind of "signature" slide that they can market as a headliner? This acquisition has obviously been in the works for a while, so I wouldn't be surprised if we did see a new slide of some kind come spring. I may try to do a little digging into the project to see if I can find out more on what exactly they plan to do. Now, to address all this talk about "Busch Gardens Wild Animal Safari Park".... The San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park (formerly The Wild Animal Park) is actually looking the best it ever has right now. They've drastically improved and remodeled several guady areas of the park, adding a Bat enclosure and a play gardens for families, and removing the eyesore upcharge portable motion simulator . Sure, the focus of the park has shifted to a variety of Upcharge experiences in addition to their normal lineup, but there's no reason to complain when their normal lineup is still 100x better than your average zoo. I can't see SeaWorld Parks Entertainment looking to acquire this, mainly because the park operates on a Not For Profit basis. The park does tremendous amounts of animal research and development, and their African Plain area hold the very last Southern White Rhino in the entire world. The Soological Society is not looking to sell one of their most valuable assets to a company. SWPI operates for profit, and would change the way the park and it's research functions. And before people start whining about how the park sucks, give it another chance. It's done a complete 720° turnaround from just a few short years ago. Yes, the original Tram is gone. Yes, the new one isn't as long (however you do get pretty close to all the exhibits). If they ever build the second Tram loop for Asia, then the park will finally be complete again. As it stands, the Asian area of the park still feels like it's stuck in the 1980's, and is deteriorating. So to summarize for all the people who skimmed the post and decided not to read the wall of text, SWPI will most likely NEVER be acquiring The San Diego Zoo's Wild Safari Park.
  7. Knott's Scary Farm, right before entering the Trapped maze. We witnessed a cross dressing witch playing Dance Dance Revolution in an arcade while facing backwards with two other Haunt Monsters giving the witch stomping directions. Possibly one of the funniest moments I've ever had in a theme park .
  8. While it may be the more "portable" version of the ride, they are still pouring concrete footers for it, so it's obviously going to be there for a little while.
  9. Perhaps Zamperla has redesigned the cars for the Volare? Has anyone ridden the one at Coney Island here after they did that extensive rehab on it? I heard it was much more tolerable.
  10. Hang time on Fabbri rides....dear God. I swear my should restraints were doing almost nothing to keep me in my seat. On the other hand, the brief moment of hang time in Cheetah Hunt's Barrel roll is incredibly awesome.
  11. Wanted: Really enjoyed this movie. The action was a bit gratuitous but the story kept me intrigued and the cinematography was quite artsy. The key board scene is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.
  12. Well, I have my first girlfriend...she's a great person, but my rant is on her family. She has been horridly depressed because of their lack of support for her, their verbal abuse telling her "you'll never go anywhere" or "you're a failure", and a recent small instance of physical abuse... She doesn't deserve any of this. She's one of the sweetest people I've ever met, yet all people have done is take advantage of her kindness. Even her brother treats her rudely, threatening to call her dad on her when she was running late after school while trying to help a friend with work... Why are people like this? Seriously. It pisses me off to see that someone who could have such a bright future is being snuffed out by those around her.
  13. Chrome for my Home Computer and Either Safari or Puffin for my iPad.
  14. Looks like someone didn't view their photo at the kiosk. Great Coverage. Looks like a fantastic Holiday event.
  15. That's going to have a decent sized darkride portion! I look forward to seeing this ride completed for next year!
  16. Coastersaurus at Legland California in the back row. Still one of the most intense kiddie coaster drops I've been on.
  17. Well, I can cross one more thing off my movie bucket list. Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail: My god...where to begin? I now under stand why exactly this movie is so loved and quoted! Nearly every scene has at least 3-4 quotable lines, all of equal hilarity! Monty Python really has created one of the funniest movies of all time, and even though it's over40 years old, it's still funnier than 90% of stuff we have today.
  18. Hopefully, since she did something that SeaWorld warned against, the family can't sue them for "damages". Edit: That video was hilarious.
  19. I found another problem. Whenever I try to "Manage my files" and access the second page of my own tracks, it instead sends me to the second page of the uploaded tracks section rather than my own files.
  20. First recorded test of the HydroMAGNETIC Tornado has been posted on ProSlide's Facebook Page!
  21. Maybe in the sense that Gold Rusher could be YOLO's "GREAT Grandparent," but other than that I don't see a point in this comment at all. The point was that the most fun I've ever had on a ride at Magic Mountain was a night ride on Goldrusher with all my friends and that crazy helix in the pitch darkness. No gimicks, no YOLOs, just pure wholesome, out of control fun. I don't know if Full_Throttle will be able to change that for me.
