  1. The first online footage is here! : Looks like one very decent woodie!
  2. Hi! I would recommend the Efteling definitely! Nice landscaping and Baron 1898 that will open in July! For Belgium, it depends what you want: - Walibi Belgium: Some pretty good thrill rides such as Werewolf (a decent woodie), Vampire (yes even a decent SLC), Psyké Underground (Indoor Schwarzkopf Shuttle Coaster, pretty unique and fun) and Dalton terror (72 meters Intamin Freefall Droptower). Also an awesome and soaked Rapid River: Radja River! - Plopsaland De Panne: Great theming and some fun rides like Anubis (Gerstlauer launched coaster). They aim more to young kids then thrill seekers. - Bobbejaanland: Some fun rides like Sledge Hammer (HUSS Gaint Frisbee), Typhoon (second Gerstlauer Eurofighter) or Revolution (Vekoma indoorcoaster). Nice family themepark, but nothing to special. - Bellewearde Park: mixture of themepark and zoo. Some fun rides like a HUSS Shot n' Drop, but nothing special. Nicely themed, but pretty dated. - Plopsa Indoor Hasselt: Very small indoor theme park, not worth the visit. It's nicely themed, but thats about it. - Plopsa Coo: rather small park, with some fun theming but no special rides. Good for two or three hours, but that's about it. Phantasialand is not that far from Brussels (2 hours with a car) and fantastic. Also Toverland is worth a visit, although it's not that big (but Troy is just plain awesome). Parc Asterix is fun, great theming and some nice rides but very crowded! Walygator Parc in Metz (France) is mediocre, but it has Monster, a B&M inverted like Raptor in Ceder Point. That ride is pretty awesome and almost every time a walk-on!
  3. Sorry for the wrong speculation guys. But here is the official info nevertheless!: - Intamin coaster will be 112 meters (367ft) high, 180km/h (111.8m/h) fast in only 5 seconds! No extra camelback anymore! - No Intamin Free fall Ride on the coaster' top hat. Instead two separate Freefall towers next to the top hat. Most likely two Shot 'N Drop Towers of S&S (?) , but I'm not sure. - It will be a separate park, not a themed area in the Port Aventura Park. It will be Italian themed and will be located behind the park hotel 'Hotel Port Aventura'. - Opening: start 2017 Press event is still going and you can follow it on Twitter (#FerrarilandPA), so more info soon to come! Some pics: Thanks to: CoasterConcepts and Octavi Bono Gispert on Twitter.
  4. New 'making of' movie (with english subs): That Machineroom... Wow.
  5. It WAS one of the few Schwarzkopf Pirate Ship Ride that were built: Santa Maria - Bobbejaanland It was buttersmooth and so much fun. Sadly, they scraped it in 2007 . The only one remaining of it's kind is in Fantasy Kingdom Park: http://www.fantasy-kingdom.net.bd/adventure-rides.php For now, I pick Halve Maen in the Efteling. Still one of the better Ship Rides I've ridden.
  6. As far I know, Europa-Park is one of the only parks in Europe who hasn't discounts on it's parktickets. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!
  7. This screenshot was posted on pktk a few days a go by an anonymous newly registered user, there isn't a source. It was posted on PA-Community (the site this facebook page got the article from) in an attempt to see if anyone knew where this article came from. If you try to Google the headline, nothing shows up (aside for these new articles showing up that are all sourcing this supposedly fake one). By the looks of things, this screenshot is fake. The true stats for the coaster will be posted on 7th of May. Aaauw . Let's hope it will remain the same...
  8. New coaster for 2016 will break world record! The new Intamin Accelerator Rollercoaster for Ferrariland in the Port Aventura Reosrt will break the world record of 'highest steel rollercoaster of the world'! It will be 140m (459ft), 1m (3ft) higher than Kingda Ka, the actual world record holder. A lot of awesome new things for Europe in 2016 Source:
  9. Finally, Phantasialand announced the new ride (sort of) for 2016! Name: Taron New themed area of the coaster: Klugheim First spec that we know: Fastest Multi-Launch Coaster of Europe Teaser: I'm stoked!
  10. The park has no Fast Pass system. It's a rather small park with not to much visitors a day, so you don't need any. Just start your day with Magma 2.1 or Kit Superjet (if it's open off course) because that are the crowds favorites (with a good reason if you ask me).
  11. New strong rumor from First Drop (ECC Magazine): Klugheim is getting two coasters! The Intamin Launched one and a Vekoma Junior Coaster! I'm curious if this is true...
  12. Skycatcher getting ready for its first flight! Source: Facebook Kentucky Kingdom
  13. Made something yesterday in my spare time. It's the new 'Powersplash' ride for Walibi Belgium in 2016...
  14. I think they are 'overhyping' Baron, because for some people it's the first B&M in their region (Dutchies and in some way some Belgians). But it's still pretty funny how people can overreact for something that isn't groundbreaking in any way. I'm from the region and I'm excited about this project. But I'm not shouting this will be "the best ride ever". Sure, the station and preshows will be nice. The ride itself will be enjoyable and will pack some punch. But there are a lot of other good B&M's in Europe I've ridden so far (Shambhala, Katun, Nemesis,...), so I'm curious how I shall rank Baron. Robb, it's just silly that some people react like this. Pretty Ironic isn't it? They are 'mad' because you didn't mentioned anything about this new ride and so they demand that you say something about it. When you do, they are mad because it isn't the reaction they were hoping for... Ps: That epic amount of facepalms is just epic!
  15. And your statement is right all along, because the following picture approves it : Source: Themepark.nl
  16. Since the announcement of the all new "Disneyland Forever", I was thinking of other Disney nighttime/fireworks shows on earth. Disney made a lot shows in the dark. But what's your al time favourite? I've seen a lot of the Disneyland Paris nighttime shows since 1999. But my al time favourite in Paris still remains the most recent one: Disney Dreams! Every time I watch this show, I get goose bumps. Just so incredible, beautifull use of fountains, fireworks, 3D mapping, fire and lights! Love the reactions of the crowds in this video :
  17. Just amazing! Can't wait till it's complete!
  18. Cop Cars Chase for Santa Monica Peer - Movie Park Germany Just plain stupid. How can you destroy an E-ticket ride for something totally ugly...
  19. What. The. F*ck. Selfie Sticks on It's a small world in Disneyland Paris. This is just plain stupid. Look at them... Just look...
  20. Someone animated the old Space Mountain (original name Discovery Mountain). Impressive!
  21. New BIG (American) ride in 2016! Plopsa confirmed (on the parks fanday and on facebook) that they will build a new ride in 2016. It's location in the park will change the parks feeling, says Steven Van den Kerkhof (CEO Plopsa) in an interview with themeparkfreaks.eu (http://themeparkfreaks.eu/interviews/interview-steve-van-den-kerkhof/). He also mentioned that the brand new ride will be big and will be build by an American company... It was rumoured that it would be a wooden rollercoaster (GCI, Gravity Group ore RMC), but nothing is confirmed yet. Yet another Premier launched coaster (i doubt it , because they already have Anubis) ore anything else? 2016 is such a great year for Europe. Plopsaland de Panne, Walibi Belgium, Phantasialand, Walibi Holland, Port Aventura (Ferrari land), Kolmarden,... Can't wait!
