  1. I'm in the beginning stages of planning a Europe trip for next year that will definitely bring me to Europa Park. Can I do this park in one day, or should I allow for two? Thanks in advance!
  2. I used to always ride Comet first because it was always one of the few coasters with a sizable line during HPITD. Fahrenheit and Trailblazer also had long lines, but sometimes Great Bear would, too. I don't know about Skyrush or Cocoa Cruiser. I'll be there on Saturday, and my plan was going to be Comet, Skyrush, Fahrenheit, and then whatever. You shouldn't have a problem riding everything in five hours.
  3. Last year it was Poltergeist and Superman, I believe. I was planning to go, but decided against because of those closures.
  4. I've actually had this happen to me before, minus the injuries. I was at Soak City at Cedar Point in 2010, and the attendant at the top let us use rafts for the body slides. It was her first day, and she didn't know they were solely body slides. I'm not saying that KK is at fault here, but it is plausible.
  5. ^ Yep! That's exactly where I got all of my wording. It's an excellent source since the information is given by the designer's son.
  6. I didn't make it up to Kennywood that year. It was really weird coming in 2010 and seeing all of that new Morgan track. Why did they replace it, anyway?
  7. I would love to see some LSMs carry the train up to the very top of the spine, hold it for a few seconds, and then let it rampage down the track into the station.
  8. Both have a Premier launch coaster. Six Flags Mexico and Islands of Adventure
  9. Uh.... I honestly cannot remember. I rarely ever eat there. When was the last time you ate at any fast food restaurant?
  10. ^^ Great work! I think that's one of the best paint jobs I've ever seen for an SLC (even if it is fictional!).
  11. Well, damn. I'm busy the next two weekends. Guess I'll have to hope the place opens up again next year.
  12. ^ Man, I need to get back there! I really hope I get a chance to experience that 4th car. Does anybody know what the last weekend for Ghost Lake is?
  13. ^ This might give me nightmares tonight.
  14. There was an accident on it a few weeks after it opened, but I don't think that was why it was removed. He was a single rider and thrown from the train (not sure exactly where). That accident is the reason why there's a partner rule.
  15. Just in case anyone hadn't read this yet, here's another update of the lawsuit between Six Flags and Gerstlauer. LINK
  16. The worst coaster I've ever ridden is Ninja at Six Flags St. Louis. It's extremely painful and just plain awful all around.
  17. Granted, but they're stand-up, nut crunching floorless trains. I wish I could go visit my favorite Mexico parks again.
  18. May 2013 at BGW (only to get out of the rain, but that still counts) When was the last time you tried to smooth talk your way onto a kiddie coaster?
  19. Let's see... (in no particular order) West Virginia (My home state) Maryland (Where I currently live) Pennsylvania Ohio Virginia Delaware New Jersey New York Indiana Michigan Kentucky North Carolina South Carolina Massachusetts Connecticut Texas California Georgia Florida Tennessee New Hampshire
  20. US Canada Mexico Will definitely be expanding this list next year.
  21. Montana Infinitum - La Feria Chapultepec Magico, Mexico
  22. I found the operations at SFOT last Christmas to be absolutely atrocious. With FP, I waited 45 minutes for Titan and I was solely in the station. I don't remember how long we waited for NTAG in the full queue, but the trains dispatched so infrequently that we thought it had broke down. Also, SFA a few weeks ago. 20 minutes for Superman and it was only a three train wait. On Joker's Jinx, the other train had stacked before the gate even opened to let people on. It was all because of ride op laziness at its finest. However, the absolute WORST I've ever seen to date was Face Off at PKI back in 2006. The estimated wait time was 15 minutes, and we waited well over an hour. Why? Because the ride ops were having a party during the middle of the day. Trains dispatched every 10-12 minutes, if that quickly. Complaints to management went ignored, and it wasn't until 2012 that I actually rode it again.
  23. When Kennywood's Thunderbolt first opened, it had was is referred to as a "speed bump." It was along the inside of those famous turns and was removed after the 1968 season. The reason was never given, but it was believed to be too intense for riders at the time. Searching for a picture actually brought me back to TPR at Shane's Amusement Attic. A big thanks to Shane!
