  1. You guys make great points about delivering great rides no matter when you ride it, but I have Never been on a woodie that wasn't better at night. The same is true with Phoenix and El Toro and I am sure Balder will be the same, if it ever gets dark there.
  2. ^Well of course you would, you have CW as your home park.
  3. Unfortunately there is a catch...you have to actually go to Valleyfair.
  4. You do realize that WORK is not the same as PLAY. It is an insult to all of us who work everyday to listen to your constant whining. Just a couple of weeks ago you were saying how great this was.
  5. They could try retracking it, but that would cut into CP's budget so that won't be happening anytime soon. Its such a shame at one time Beast was so good.
  6. Phoenix at Knoebels. A perfect way to end a massive 2007.
  7. Really they are getting a new coaster to go with this used one. The only local park for me getting a new coaster is SFGAM.
  8. Colossos at Thorpe Rules also. It was such as surprise to me how much I liked it.
  9. I am glad for this announcement since it almost guarantees I will not go to ANY CF parks next year. MIA waited years for a ride and they get a used SLC and the only one I have been on that actually made 2 people I was with bleed. So next year (and every year from now on) I will not buy a pass and now I can also go a full season with no CF parks, unless I somehow end up in Carolina or KC. As long as that doesn't happen I am home free.
  10. The double decker would have been awesome, but definately not worth the hassle. The larger one sounds like a good option.
  11. I have to say as much as I dislike CP, Maverick was really fun. It is my second favorite coaster at the park, so that puts it somewhere in my top 50. Definately a nice addition.
  12. ^I think the ACE shirt might make it worse. I will ride anything they let me on, but I have never paid a kid. A kid did volunteer to ride with me at Great Escape so I used that advantage. Like James if it is a clone I have rode before then this park is not letting me it is upsetting, but really just more confusing. I have invented what I call the "clone rule". It is an amazing rule, but its biggest benefit is used to irritate and upset Larry with its flawless logic. Larry is convinced I have used this rule many times, but he is incorrect. Jimbo and Joe both give the clone rule its much deserved props.
  13. I always enjoy the "calm down" line from people like I am sitting at home getting worked into a fury over some coaster website. It's not the giving SF a hard time thing that is annoying it is the lack of facts when you do it. In another thread you criticize SF for having to many chains inside their park. Yet CP has Fridays, Famous Daves, Johhny rockets, Chick Fil A, Starbucks, Ben and Jerrys, Panda Express, Macaroni's and a Pizza Hut express at Breakers. That seems like quite a few chains, or at least enough that you shouldn't criticize another park for doing the same thing.
  14. The two train stacking machine Blue Streak at CP. I also love how that train now has head rests, seat dividers, ratcheting lap bars, and seat belts. All for our supposed safety, but they let a lady ride with a full size purse.
  15. I vote for you Always complaining about SF. The park is still in massive debt, yet he has figured out how to give most of the chain something new to promote for 2008. He has constantly said he wants a more family approach so how are these rides not perfect for that image. Also with a new Batman movie coming out it keeps the corporate sponsors happy. I for one am excited the SFGAM is getting a new ride. with the coaster lineup they have, there is no problem getting another small family coaster. Rich "If the theming delivers who freaking cares about two mice" Bitner
  16. Because it saves money and SF is consider a regional park so most guests don't visit parks other then the ones close to their home.
  17. I have not been to in Hershey in a year so this is a perfect reason to go back. I loved the 90 degree drop on the ride in Oakwood. I think this looks like a great addition to one of my favorite parks.
  18. ^Me either Dave but I can safely assume it pretty much bites like the one in Spain did.
  19. See the part about 20 more spots to fill a second bus. Hence my comment that extending the deadline gives more people a chance to go. If they don't have enough for 2 buses then 30 people will not make it. I have never been on a 2 bus trip so I know nothing more than anyone else does. I am just using some common sense. I never knew my comments would cause such an outpouring of emotion from certain people. My comments were my opinion and by no means are meant to represent anyone else. I guess I just get frustrated by the massive amounts of pages that go up, when I know from fact, that ALL of your questions will be answered in time. The deposit is refundable so if you want to go send it in, and if something comes up ask for it back. I don't see the problem and I don't understand all the "spot" on the trip confusion. NO ONE wo wanted to go on a TPR trip has EVER been excluded, why would this year be any different.
  20. 1. I don't drink coffee so that is not my problem. 2. There is obviously no time for EVERYONE to be able to make the chat. Hence why I was making reference to that. I am just looking back to when I was a first time tripper and never felt the need to address my questions in this manner. Hey maybe it is just me.
  21. 1am? Damn, looks like I won't be in the chat either then. Also, putting back the deadline sucks, because now they'll be even less chance of me going on the trip, and now I'll be getting more anxious. So when should R&E have a chat that fits EVERYONE'S schedule? Second by postponing the deadline they are trying to see if there is enough interest for 2 buses, which would make your odds greater to go. This is not exactly rocket science. As far as no Texas you do realize they have a kid, jobs, website, and other trips to plan, so try cutting them some slack. Some of you will be joining a trip for the first time, do you really want the first thing that people remember about you to be some selfish comment?
  22. I agree with the people that say SFGADV is a totally different park. I was there the last year of Viper and had just a miserable day. Terrible ops, stuff not open, etc. I went back this year hoping for one ride on El Toro. I ended up with 4, Robin, Superman, Nitro, all in less then 2 hours in the park. It was so much improved that it didn't even seem like the same place.
  23. ^Great post. I agree with you 100% I was just going after the person who doesn't believe CF clones stuff. No one complains about SROS clones. The only people who really notice clones are the dorks like us who travel all over the place going to parks. We make up maybe 2% of attendance. I mean even on TPR look how many members never get out of a specific area of the country.
  24. Italian Job, Racer, corkscrews, wild mice. They still have less clones but they are far from innoncent. They also only have about 7 ride names also.
  25. Gee do you think the Opryland one seemed more important because you are from Tenn? As far as visiting the other park because GL lives through them, no thanks. I'll continue with my plans of spending as little as possible for CF parks.
