The pictures look very nice and I love going to zoos, so how is this park really. Is it pretty nice?

I am really looking forward to this park since it seems so quirky on its website.

I look forward to returning to this park as I was really enjoying myself, before they decided to close 5 hours early due to poor scheduling. Therefore I have like half a new park waiting for me in Richmond.

The parking fee is just not that big of deal, if the improvements come. I pay twice as much to park for a college football game at Notre Dame.(Weis has got to get paid ya know). The KK improvements are perfect, that park has a good variety of rides, and some nice looking areas(back by blizzard river). But that park has always had a feeling of "we are doing the customer a favor by letting them spend money here." I hope it works, because that is about the only way I would head down there again.

I would have to say Thunderhead and Tremors or the two I am thinking about now. Tremors being a lot harder to achieve. I am not including Balder or Voyage since they should definately happen this summer.

I am pretty new here but it is safe to say that mispelling a word in the title of your thread is never good. Also claiming most people are wrong because of one smooth vekoma is not a good start. I have actually seen my wife's ears bleed on the one at Geauga Lake and the one at Kentucky Kingdom is pretty close also.

As a two year member of Theme Park Critic let me say how refreshing it is to see those rules. That great site has been slowly brought down by people who do one or all of the things you have mentioned.

It is nice to see a new park going in since we always read about parks going under every year.

I prefer MF as every time I ride Magnum it seems a little worse. I am also not that impressed with that type of airtime. Even in the airtime seat.

You run your rides at full capacity on the days you need to. Severl times at SFGAM I have seen them add the third train later in the day to cover the growing lines and I think this is what he meant. You want people to come back and spend the money on the high profit items. You want them to have so much fun they don't leave early to eat dinner outside the park. Also marketing to teens and young adulkts just is not the strategy you need to grow. If you are marketing from 13-25 look how much of the population you are cutting off. Not to mention some of that age have to come with their parents. I believe this is the way to go and I believe it is no coincidence that service went down when new rides every year seemed to start.

I look at it like others have said the big rides will occur less frequently. However I also see it as a chance to get more good mid sized coasters like the Avalanche in Wisconsin. That is not a huge ride but it provides HUGE fun. Most SF have enough coasters it is their crappy capacity that keeps you from enjoying them. So if I could go to the park and be able to get in 30% more rides then before that is like having a whole new experience.

A disney resort there would just spew money. IMO

I love that ride so this is some great news to me. Cows are freaking hilarious and I love the one that goes Smoooth.

I will ride anything when I am not paying per ride. I have left some credits out there like Journey to Atlantis at Mt olympus and crap parks like riverview, and lil a merrick a.

Having been to Hawaii once they could support one. If you are not into sitting around or shopping, it does start to wear on you. A smaller park would probably make huge money.

To me it seemed a lot more confusing then Disney's system. When I was there on my honeymoon it was the first time I had used fastpass at any park and Disney's made perfect sense. Then I went to IOA and I could not tell if they had a free system or just a pay system. I am sure I was not the only one so I will not miss a loss of their express system.

Couple of things I totally agree with the parks being open in the off season. I also saw you mention kings dominion, my wife and I got kicked out when they decided to close the park after the weather prediction was wrong so they only had 250 people in the park. That would have been understandable, but they stayed open during the rain then closed when it got nice. We were very upset especially considering how many laws we broke to get their by opening from South Bend, IN. Great TR by the way I am so jealous.
