Theme Park Review's 2007 Group Trips!
coaster05 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think the Spain group is a group that has a lot less young people, so therefore they are probably not posting nearly as often. -
^I agree. You should not need a sign to know how to ride safely. I don't use soap in my eyes, even though there is no warning in the park's restroom. A headrest is for your head, by stating that you know it's a headrest you are acknowledging you have the background knowledge to have solved this problem before it started.

Here is all you need. 1. Passport 2. currency for that country 3. plane ticket 4. clothes 5. personal hygiene products 6. brain The first five you can purchase, the last was just luck of the draw. Seriously what R&E do for you is so amazing that you don't need to check every detail. I had never done this and I had very few questions most of them regarding the #2 item on my list. The reason so many of us get defensive is a combination of your lack of reading and our respect for our friends organizing this trip. It's ok to ask new questions, its not ok to ask the same question over and over and over. I don't use paypal and I still know the answers. -

If I am keeping you from more alcohal your brain cells will probably thank me. I never even knew he was in RAD. Gotta love the 80's and how they could keep making the same movie with just a different hobby. -

For those wondering about ERT I am sure they have mentioned that it takes tons of time to get that worked out. I remember it being early spring when I saw the first happy announcement on our UK board about ERT and some were still coming very close to the time of the trip. Tex for someone who has been ragging on people lately who don't read, you definately fit into that catergory also. -

I watched the chat (like a car wreck) and at least 75% of those questions could have been answered in the flyer. However, some were really good questions from people who were totally serious about the trip experience and I hope those are the people who get in as I would enjoy getting to meet them. -

Dude other than ERT you pretty much break apart into smaller groups so the choice is yours, assuming the waterpark is included and not an add on. -

Elissa you rock and with all the salt we throw in Joe's wounds they will never heal. Joe that is awesome so I really hope we get along since we will see each other on three different trip between now and next August. I swear my personality is much more like I show on this site then on TPC. The idiot per capita is so much smaller here. BTW I told you to go to England. -

I have to say abc that I am also shocked there is not more UK people on this trip since the exchange rate is so much in your favor. Enjoy either way and have a great time. -

I would say each trip will have around 35 non ukers. If you can't schedule your vacation now, you have until in Feb 1st to get your deposit back. That is approx five months before the trip I would hope you could schedule your vacation by then. If I misinterpreted the post I apologize though I stand by my statement. -

Go ahead and run one. I am sure you have the time to do all the work that they did then criticize them for how THEIR system is run. Anyone and I mean anyone could have went to the UK. There was a chance, albeit slim, that it could have blown up in our faces, yet I committed my wife an myself to 6,000 dollars with people I had never met on a site I hadn't visited. If you don't think that is worth anything I am truly sorry. Here is my thing. I have known R&E for less than a year and had never talked to them before June 9th. What they are doing is totally selfless and should be accorded that respect. They are not making money on these trips and to be honest I have no idea how they can do this. You are entitled to your opinion, but I feel it is very unfair and disrespectful. I consider both of them my friends, which is not a term I use loosely, and I will stick up for them. -

^^why even post that. Or that^ All parks offer unique experiences. Deguy I was not including you in my little speech. I was hoping you realized that since I joked with you about the reading comprehension class. If not my apologies. Gurzu the price does not include airfare, as far as season passes I have no idea. Like someone said Italy is an add on, hence why it is the SPAIN trip. Please read. I know some of you think we are being picky, but you have no idea how foolish this makes some of you look. Second it is also insulting to others who do read the thread, but more importantly to R&E. They spend their free time doing all this research, calling parks, typing up information and posting flyers. That would easily amount to hours or days worth of time and you can't sacrifice a couple of minutes to read the things they have worked on. I may be older but that is a total sign of disrespect. -

Wow your parents won't write a check for 4,000 since you would need a chaperone, plus tickets or gas to get there, plus the other two meals each day and souvenirs. You are right they seem very ilrational to me. For any interested for 2 people to go to the UK and Sweeden my total came to 7,000 not counting the 3 extra days in London. We were extremely frugal and it still came to that. I am just saying be prepared. -

^ Lottery system. It does not matter when they get it as long as they get it before the deadline. UKer's do not have to be in the lottery we already have our spot as long as we get the deposit in. How do I know these things even though I have been a member for only a year. I read. Please read also so Robb and Elissa can spend their time doing more important things. -
For the couple people who are worried about when their money is in, getting cracking, dad at meetings, etc. If they fill up it will go to a lottery system so as long as you beat the deadline you are equal. Not exactly rocket science. Some of you should pray that there is not a comprehension test for a spot on the bus. On a side note I have to say I am very surprised at how many people are jumping on the midwest. I guess since I am from that area I never realized how many people hadn't visited there. For me I am all about the Alvey's taking me to far away lands. BTW guys huge props for the sightseeing days figured into Spain. That is awesome.

But Robb the whole time you were harassing Melanie and Me about the Voyage you kept saying Balder was number 1. Now I find out it is only number 27. How can I sleep at night if our opinion of the number 1 coaster does not agree with the general public. I have been led astray once again by the promise of free will. Obviously if you were not on the same Balder train with Robb you have no idea how much he enjoyed teasing me. So deguy you were actually able to understand no questions about price or ERT really MEANT no questions about price or ERT. Maybe you should start an online seminar in reading comprehension for the younger members. Larry I believe Lou is pretty much a sure thing for our trip. Please noone read "sure thing" as meaning anything other than the fact that we will get to see her again in Spain. Rich "remember fanboys Lou IS NOT really a porn star" Bitner
