  1. That's a big NOPE from me, that looks absolutely terrifying!
  2. Let's hope so. One of the guys who helped him was an ambulance driver who was in the line, and he stated to the newspaper that he hope they will be able to save his leg. So obviously it's serious injuries. Here is a picture of the loading station (from the park index)
  3. ^Feel free to send a few of those to Norway, we are still waiting for summer to properly arrive here on the Norwegian west coast. The weather itself has not been too bad, we've had some rain, some cloudy days, some sun... However I cannot remember a summer where the temperatures have been this low. For the last couple of weeks it has been in the 55-65 range, occasionally hitting 70. Forecast is not exactly looking brilliant either. Last year we had the best summer in 100 years. I guess we're paying the price now... (I must admit though, I'll take this over 100 degrees F)
  4. Today there was a serious accident at Tusenfryd. An 18 year old ride-op on SuperSplash, the parks Mack watercoaster, received serious injuries to one leg when he got his foot trapped between the platform and ride vehicle as the ride was dispatched. The ride was stopped, and he was helped by emergency personnel who was in the park as visitors. Source (Norwegian only) http://dagbladet.no/2015/07/30/nyheter/innenriks/tusenfryd/40397865/ The ride is currently closed, but the park remains open. Hopefully the unfortunate ride-op will make a full recovery.
  5. Yes, you still take everything with you. The seats have pockets in front of them for smaller objects, larger objects like backpacks you put by your feet. The ride doesn't have any negative G-forces, so the risk of anything flying out of the train is extremely small. I cannot recall any rides at WDW where you don't take your belongings with you.
  6. That rockwork looks fantastic! Really looking forward to follow the construction of this one, mainly to see what theming they come up with.
  7. Not my cats, but my parents are going away for the weekend which means that from Thursday to Monday I will be staying in their house to take care of these two beauties. This is Maya... ...and this is Inka.
  8. Love the Crystal Beach pictures. The location of Comet was stunning, being right at the egde of the water. Anyone ever had the chance to ride it backwards??
  9. It does look like they have removed the twist, I'm not seeing any angled beams either. I doubt it was a mistake in the promo video, probably that was the original plan, but then they decided to change it. Nothing unusual about that, projects change all the time. Either way it sure looks spectacular!
  10. Ah the classic case of once a ride closes it immediately becomes a hundred times better...
  11. Continuing with American style beers by small Norwegian breweries.
  12. Awesome report! Drievliet looks like a very nice little park, the theming is very well done. Ride selection also looks very good. Seeing the pictures of Formule X reminds me of this wonderful clip. If you can watch this video without smiling you have no heart. Oh, and anyone care to explain what the heck is going on here? LOL!
  13. Man, this project is so exciting to follow when you don't know what the final layout is going to be like! Hopefully we'll see an airtime hill or two appear also, so far it seems to focus heavily on twists and turns.
  14. Those turns are strange indeed. Ride looks great though, really like how they incorporated it into the hillside.
  15. Haha that was awesome, thanks for sharing! As a child I was always fascinated by Hercules, with the huge drop and the flat turn over the water. It may never have been a great ride, but it sure was impressive looking!
  16. Awesome report! Cannibal looks great, and the rest of the park also looks like it has quite a bit to offer. Sorry about your ankle Robb, hope you have a speedy recovery!
  17. I have absolutely no problems with Kumba. Having been to BGT twice in the last year, my experience is that it was a little shaky after the MCBR, which I can understand might cause a little discomfort for some riders. But my overall impression is it that was running extremely well for a 20+ year old ride. My favorite ride at BGT!
  18. That is some seriously impressive looking concept art indeed! Will be very interesting to follow the construction of this park.
  19. Awesome video! The view when the door opens at the top of the tower looks quite spectacular, with the track just dissappearing over the edge. Overall looks like a solid ride that has really put Lagoon on the map for any coaster enthusiast!
  20. That is an awesome picture! I miss Gröna Lund, such a great park. I will probably visit again next year and combine it with a trip to Kolmården once Wildfire is open.
  21. ^It looks like that weekend will be difficult for me, so I will probably do week 34. That could be fun! Always great to meet fellow enthusiasts. I'll drop you a PM later.
  22. Great pictures! I really liked Slammer when I rode it back in 2005, thought it was a great ride! The same goes for Katapult @ SFNE that I rode in 2008.
  23. This is what I came up with before looking at anyone elses list. Those marked with * are those I have not ridden.
