1. No. And thank goodness you posted this way too late to be of any terrible disservice to anyone actually trying to get to the event on time!!!!
2. It's Japan! People take naps in public all the time. You don't have to worry about someone harming you or stealing your stuff...ugh, thanks for reminding me once again how great Japan is!!!!
3. ^Respected Carny is an oxymoron to most!
4. The park was better than normal mostly due to the fact that there were like 500 people on the dry side, and 400 of them were in line for the spinning mouse! Had my worst park food experience in a long time at the Chinese food place in the park. I'm still fuming over it. I think Chase also experienced some of the horrors in that location.
5. Haha I don't blame you for being skeptical, especially with some of the creepy enthusiasts out there. See! That was easy wasn't it!
6. Terrible news. I think what this accident taught us was that even with established rides and ride companies, if they're just sold to some crappy carny that isn't doing the maintenance required, anything can happen. I wonder what happened to some of the other injured. IIRC there were some gnarly leg injuries.
7. Used the term *girlfriend* 16 times...photos of girlfriend - 0! Just making sure she's not actually a ride at Knoebels as we know that's possible!
8. ^It was never *smooth*, but in the early years it didn't make you pee blood like in the later years! I mean, just look at this transition from your picture...there was no smooth there! Coat Hanger!
9. All parks need a Magical Powder dark ride.
10. I had never heard of this Larva series so I looked it up and now I'm in love! So cute! I see the amount of garlic on your plate for the Korean BBQ and I am now insanely jealous and hungry!!!! I believe this park is only growing (I see you Lionsgate area!) so I look forward to see what's next.
11. Very interesting look at the cottage, thank you for sharing. Slightly too grandma jebus for me, plus one bathroom makes it hard to share with other people. In your research did you see any that had two bathrooms?
12. We will be there live covering the announcement!
13. Back on track now...looks like TPR will officially be visiting this park next summer! Start thinking about those TPR Trip Applications if you're interested in riding with us! ...also, Chicago pizza sucks.
14. I'm super happy to see Mack really getting more big coasters into the US, but the ending on this one seems a bit drawn out...dare I say "Great Bear-ish". At least the first part of the ride is awesome and long enough that I won't let that ending bother me!
15. I guess this is as close to Dodonpa as we'll ever get in the US! I'll take it.
16. The Luxor attractions were great for their time! My dad and I rode the simulator (with the awesome standup preshow!) while my mom and little brother did the Nile boat cruise.
17. I feel like in an alternate universe you and Jack are a super powerful gay couple.
18. You have plenty of time, check the app a few times to see if there are Ubers around the park at the time and days you're looking for.
19. That log flume used to be one of my favorites, kind of sad to see what's happening to that whole property.
20. As much as I would love racing Dodonpa's, I would sacrifice them just to drink the tears of the MM Fanboys with a more family thrill coaster instead!
21. Obviously there's the Carousel and the Cyclone. Everything else is a Zamperla attraction except for their Sling Shot ride, which is a Funtime semi-portable installation, and (I believe) their Coney Island Raceway go-kart track. So it's not unprecedented for Central Amusements to reach out beyond Zamperla's portfolio for a specialty attraction. From my readings on Coney Island... "In 2010 Antonio Zamperla S.p.A. was selected by CAI (Central Amusement International) to restore and renovate the Coney Island area, the company managed the amusement park in New York installing only Zamperla rides, representing a perfect test bed for new attractions before to launch them." Unlike companies such as Intamin, Vekoma, or Bolliger & Mabillard that concentrate on larger and faster roller coasters, Zamperla focuses on more family-friendly roller coasters that can be easily mass-produced, taken down, and transported to different locations. They are also a major manufacturer of flat rides. That being said, while Zamperla deserves praise for a 'job well-done,' I, myself, would have been happier to see some of the other companies mentioned above being invited to produce a greater, more exciting diversity of coasters! Greedy Alice Please tell me what is "family-friendly" about the death-machine Volares? Or the horrifying new Thunderbolt!
22. Yeah, I thought Halloween events are basically printing money at parks...weird to just completely cancel it.
23. Lightning Rod DC Rivals Batwing Steel Vengeance Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster Canyon Blaster ...all of these had a lot more issues than SkyRush and other Intamin's this year! The Intamin thing has been overblown since it started and nowadays is an even dumber excuse! I can only imagine the drama and crap people would be throwing at Lightning Rod and DC Rivals right now if they had been Intamin! But for whatever reason those rides/manufacturers/parks always seem to get a pass.
24. ^^Completely agree. I'm all for them building a B&M Hyper! Shorter lines for SkyRush and Storm Runner!
