  1. - If you are going to be there between xmas and New Years the benefits of being a resort guest will DEFINITELY BE WORTH IT! Extra Magic Hours and the bus transportation will be great. - Again, this really depends on what you want to do. Technically you could hit up all of the coasters at all of WDW in a day, but if you want to do more I would suggest to budget at least one full day at each park. During that season you may need more. AK can be less unless you're really into animals. - The Segway thing really depends. For that season you better book it ASAP!!!! They now offer two tours, make sure to get the earlier one as it is much better. During the offseason you can sometimes sign up the same day. I booked both of mine 3 months in advance and had to take the 2nd time for the 2nd tour. =( - No other fastpass programs at this time. - My personal favorite is Boardwalk. All of the Epcot resorts I really like because they are walking distance from Epcot and MGM (my two favorite disney parks). It really depends on your budget, and which parks you think you'll spend the most time at. For MK resorts I like Wilderness Lodge best, for cheap deluxe I like Animal Kingdom Lodge, for Moderates I like Coronado (but I have never heard a bad thing about Port Orleans), and for value I like allstar movies (but they're pretty much all the same).
  2. I love your captions!!! Chipmunks are awesome..and I plan to email dan a better caption!
  3. Yes Nasu does close for most of January and February. In Kyushu it is very easy to do Space World as it has its own JR Station. Kijima has a bus direct from the JR Beppu Station that is very easy to take. Mitsui Greenland also has a bus but we were pretty much told to take a taxi and it was a pretty cheap and fast taxi ride (about 15 minutes $15) Those are the three main parks down there, have fun! Let us know if we can help in anyway as it's all still fresh in my head and binder!
  4. hahaha!!! This is going to be fun to harass Jewy and Dan with for a week or two!
  5. Schlitterbahn is NOT that efficient at the new sections. Make sure to be there before opening and run right to Master Blaster. It easily gets hour+ lines. I would do all of the new stuff before heading to the older area. The old tube shoots pump through many more people. If you're interested in doing the surfing attraction that also gets really long lines. Right near the surfing is 'backsplash' ( I think that's the name!). Don't miss it!!! It may not be a 'real' slide, but it was all of our favorite attraction in both parks!!!! As for the SF parks, you know the deal. There really aren't any 'small' parks anywhere nearby. If you want to do a SCAD tower there's one about 40min from SFoT.
  6. ^uh huh, sure, we believe you!
  7. Just keep in mind it's quite expensive to disassemble, transport, reassemble rides. Not to mention infrastructure, permits, etc. Honestly, I believe they should close down the park. Not that I think that's a good thing, but there just isn't the base to make it survive right now, or probably for the next 5 years.
  8. Anyone who posts in this thread will be banned... oh wait, crap...
  9. Note to self, don't let Kenny in my town!
  10. Wow Soren, you got hot!
  11. ^To be fair, the Universal Express (which ranges in price from $15 - $30 per park depending on season) should be compared with the Gold Qbot (ranges from $20 - $25 per person) So they're actually quite similar.
  12. Honestly I don't think the prices are that outrageous. Think how much money it is for people to: - Go to a sporting event - Play a round of golf - Eat at a fancy restaurant - Go to a show - Go to a kids entertainment thing (circus, show, etc.) Heck, even minigolf is up to like $15 a course! Again, remember that most people treat going to a theme park as a once or twice a year at the most activity. In that case, these prices are not excessive.
  13. Honestly, this has been brought up in a number of different topics and ways but... There is no good way to visit parks in LA without a rental car. PERIOD. The public transportation is almost worthless. For example to get from the Airport to SFMM on public transportation will involve at least 2 or 3 buses, 2 trains, and walking. (It will also require at least 2.5 hours) If you're just concerened with hitting Disney, Knotts, and Universal you could probably arrange some shuttle buses or cabs. Bottom line, you need to rent a car if you want to do all of the LA Area parks.
  14. ^^That's funny, because in July there was a sign and lots of construction.
  15. Wow, when did the grading scale change?!?! When I went to school it was: 94 - 100 = A 85 - 93 = B 78 - 84 = C 65 - 77 = D 64 & Below = F

It depends on how you want your Disney visit to be. Honestly, you need to know at least 20 words in Japanese to have a decent time. Stuff like: Hello Numbers 1 - 10, 100, 1000 (the way their numbers work if you know these, you can figure out all numbers) Please Thank You Excuse Me What time is.. How Much... Where is... Etc. Yes you can get by knowing nothing, but then you'll look kind of stupid and not be able to ask for specific rows, or eat at certain food places, etc.
  17. Since I took the picture, and AM the picture, allow me a caption here... "Yes, we're that stupid"

It is definitely in the works! We actually were considering going next month but couldn't pull off the time off from work. Oh well! I've actually been to Australia 3 times and hit Wonderland before it closed! (as well as a few other random credits)
  19. I believe the temperature today will be in the low 30s. --Robb
  20. Figured I should chime in real fast: - The Trip is awesome!!! - A lot of times when you come away really loving a place, then you go back and it's not 'quite' as cool as you remember...this is NOT the case. Japan is everything I remembered and more! We're discovering more and more great stuff everyday. - Again, it's really not about the parks and coasters being 'amazing', more so the amazing experiences going to all of these crazy places. A lot of people think we're crazy for going to Japan 'just for coasters', but we're getting much more off the beaten track and seeing more of the country than any normal tourist! - Food, I've tried some 'real asian food'...I'm glad there are a lot of McDonalds and Mister Donuts' in this country! - Dan, there is no more AMBITIOUS JAPAN!!! it's really sad, they have some new stupid logo now. Also 5 Chicken Tikka has been replaces with 10 Yakitori chicken, and 10 yakitory beef sticks! - Coca cola tastes better here, there is still no diet soda. - Ok, going to bed now because we have a bunch of crazy days coming up. Thanks for checking in on us everyone!
  21. WHERE'S JEFF?!!!?! Serioulsy though, I don't know anyone who would do that. Again, in my opinion it goes back to 'experience'. The Sun Wheel is a ferris wheel, not 16 mini roller coasters!
  22. Just wanted to add in a few things: -McDonalds rules! -None of the stories I had heard about Hong Kong or Disney are true. The place is very clean, very little smoking, and higly efficient. Also food seems to be really cheap! -Chip n Dale Souvenirs EVERYWHERE!!!! -Jetlag sucks, I want to go to bed!
  23. Yeah, you should fly into LAX, do the local parks, and then get on a plane for the Cedar Point Area. Or else you'll waste at LEAST 3 full (700 mile) days getting there.
  24. Yeah, not sure if that's really us to change the board just for a holiday.
