  1. Living in Australia I can make an unbiased opinion on this and I say it is a draw. I have visited each region many times while travelling for business and pleasure and I cannot split them. I love the Disney experience in Florida, especially seeing as I have always stayed in a Disney resort. IOA is assume and love Universal Studio's theme park atmosphere. But SoCal I really love Universal's park there because I think it encapsulates the movie feel much better than Florida's version. Add in SFMM, Knotts and a better SeaWorld in SD. So in an ideal world when I make my next trip to one of these areas I would be going to both.
  2. I have only been to Cedar Point once and the rides are awesome and if my prime and only objective was to ride some thrill rides then it would be at the top of my list. However if I had to pick between one or the other Disney World would win every time, especially if I was staying in one of their resorts. The whole experience of being immersed in the Disney atmosphere is something special for the young and not so young (like me). Nobody does the total package like Disney does!!!!
  3. 1. My initial thoughts are that this sounds really great and of benefit to those people located in locations that would gain benefit from such a premium membership. 2. No, I think what you have proposed sounds good. 3. No. 4. Personally, as I am located in Australia I see very little chance to take advantage of such a premium membership. As I said above, sounds fantastic for US citizens and I would sign up instantly if I were living in the US or some other countries. 5. No additional comments.
  4. I agree with Hanno on the jetlag bit. I live in Australia and whenever I travel to the US (either through LA or SF) I land, check into my hotel, pick up a hire car and hit a theme park. My favourite is SFMM.

I have become an avid follower of your trip reports, especially the most recent trip through Asia and was wondering if you guys are planning a trip to Australia sometime? We have had the new Superman: Escape ride open in the last week or so at MovieWorld. After having travelled through the US on business and ridden some of the best coasters in the World (Kingda Ka, X, Deja Vu, etc) I would love to see what you guys think of the rides here. Maybe you could even catch up with some locals who could make a road trip of it!!! Personally, I have a trip to Florida coming up in 3 weeks time and a family holiday in June. SFGA, SFNE and SFMM are on the agenda as is Knott's Berry Farm, DCA/DL and San Diego Sea World.
