  1. They're basically the same as the Intamin Hyper trains.
  2. Hey TPR Germans! It's looking more and more like Robb and I will be able to make a quick trip out there this year. Any word on an opening date? Will it open with the park in April? Anyone want to meet up? How far is Phantasialand from Fort Fun???
  3. Keep in mind, we didn't go to mainland China, but I did do some research into it: 1. Well, 1 Billion people speak the language so I would at least learn a bit of it! Get something with an audio or even computer interactive component. Listen and practice as much as possible. 2. Yeah, there are adapters to buy. Just check online or at a travel store. 3. Yes you need a Visa. Depending on for how long and where in the country you're going there are also different types. Some you have to get ahead of time, some you can get there, and some you need a sponsor for. Check the Chinese embassy or consulate in your area (if you have one) or else visit the US State Department website for links and info about obtaining a Chinese Visa. START THIS PROCESS NOW! 4. Bring US $'s, Credit Card, and Chinese Cash. I've heard it's an amazing country, we'd like to go soon too so let us know how it all works out for you!
  4. Is it time to go back yet?!?!? I love Japanese TV!!!
  5. Great TR! I love it when small furry animals are involved!
  6. ^A mosquito bit me in the eye at Miracle Strip!!!! It just seemed really run down and crappy. The buildings the flat rides were in also smelled! And the roller coaster chucked shards of rust on me. Other than that it was great! For some reason I LOVE Wild Adventures, there's just something weird about that park that rubs me the right way. I HATE Cypress Gardens though, so who knows what's wrong with me!?!?
  7. But where's the Turkey Shooting Ride?!!??!?
  8. Lou, that's hilarious!!!! Edit, Actually I just read through this whole thread and I love it!!! You guys are all hilarious! So if anyone would like to lend us 100 Million dollars, construction can start immediately!
  9. Yeah, don't mess with him!!!!
  10. My parents were also the type where I would come home with 4 A's and 1 B, and tell me, well it could have been all A's! GRRRR...
  11. How can you not believe or respect this amazing rodent?!?! He's adorable!!! I love him!!!
  12. It's getting a lot of attention because idiots who don't realize it's on their computer will have all of their files wiped out tomorrow. (it works on the 3rd of every month)
  13. This is really hard... I mean amusement park, seaside park, theme park, carnival that looks like it wore out it's welcome, etc. There are just too many categories! Without narrowing it down that much: SMALLER PARKS: Castle's n Coasters Wonderland Amarillo Williams Grove Rotunda Kashikaen Uncle Bernies Miracle Strip LARGER PARKS: SFKK Visionland Worlds of Fun
  14. Thanks for posting! I would definitely recommend the area around Joypolis, that one arcade under the giant ferris wheel is incredible! In addition to that, I would check out the Tokyo Dome area (plus there are coasters there!), Shinjuku, and Akihabara. It's pretty easy to get to all of these places on either trains or subway, let me know if you need any other help or suggestions. Have a great time, make sure to post a TR and photos when you get back!
  15. ^Be careful, especially in Orlando, with the touristy 'outlet' electronics stores. Most of them are open box, not new, something wrong with, under the table type places!
  16. ^With the not so great response Gwazi got, I would not expect BGW to get a wooden coaster.
  17. Hey, seeing stories like this actually makes me feel a bit better about Americans. Maybe everyone worldwide is just getting dumber!?!?
  18. Honestly, it probably will be!!! Most people who have been on Air and the Supermen find the Supermen far superior!!! I personally HATED Air! Tatsu at least looks pretty decent for a B&M Flyer.
  19. Yeah unfortunately the Tube versions are not as fun as the body ones. Much less intense, but great for families!
  20. Great Pictures Andy! Thank you for posting! I hope we have a chance to go ride Black Mamba this year!
  21. Cheerleading days SUCK! If you want to get on everything...here we go: - Get to the park by 9:15 - Run to X as soon as the gates open - Then run all the way to the opposite end of the park and get on Deja Vu - Next do Riddlers and Batman - If the lines are long by now, go to the front of the park and buy FastLanes. - Use FastLane on lines that are long (it's usually good on Colossus, Scream, Riddler, Goliath, Viper) It will be annoying but totally doable. There are 3 hotels at the interstate exit for the park. The cheapest will be a Best Western, if there are cheerleading competitions that weekend, they will most likely all be booked up already or ass expensive. Let me know if you need anything else.
  22. I think it will be open by now, but you never know what can happen.
  23. Great TR! I watched all the stuff on the Today show as they were getting ready to open this thing! Can't wait to get there at some point!
