  1. the first video was WAY better!
  2. Getting around in Spain, as most of Western Europe was quite easy. Roads are signed well, and if you know any English or French, you can figure out A LOT of words. We had a Spanish Flipbook with us, but I don't think we used it once! It's amazing to realize how much Spanish I've picked up living in California!
  3. Go on Saturday, be there before opening. You'll be fine.
  4. I'm glad to hear this Rob, I only hope it stays this way. SFMM seemed to have about 6-8 weeks of good visits in a row, then fell back into their old ways. Maybe if Shapiro visits more of the parks more often it will stay better. Is 2 Train operation on Ka good?
  5. ^^Wow, way to actually read the update Chris. Seriously, this was a great park! We had a blast! And btw...ALL FOUR DEJA VU'S!!!!!
  6. yeah I look forward to riding the X Car next year, I wasn´t too bummed that we missed it though since I´ve heard pretty negative reviews on them!
  7. Both of the Alton Towers hotels are quite nice! Splash Landings has an indoor waterpark and is newer. Alton Towers Hotel has a different theme, and is also nice. They are both connected and next to each other.
  8. I love it! It´s super fast for me and makes it truly kind of sync up to our day!
  9. Great TR!!! I think some of those pictures are SCREAMING photoshop contest! Is Deja Vu open for the season yet?
  10. Thanks Derek, I just scared half the people in the Madrid airport by bursting out into laughter at the Interlocking Loops comment!!! Don´t worry, our trip report coming soon has even more vertical loop goodness for you!
  11. I disagree about taking the turnpike. Then you're dumped way north in Orlando. Take Alligator Alley/75, it will be fine. As for the new slide, it's one of the mat racer ones that starts up at the top together enclosed, does a big turn then races down some dips to the bottom, very fun. I told you about a bunch of the rides already. Aruba Tuba/Calypso Coaster is a basic tube slide. Corkscrew is a standard corkscrew slide, I'm not sure if Tampa Typhoon and Gulfscream are still there. Key West Rapids was cool when it opened, but then had issues so they turned it more into a basic tube slide with some stopping pools along the way down.
  12. ^^^You're right. In no way does DCA's version suck. It's still an amazing ride and one of the best rides in California. It's just kind of depressing for me because I really love Florida's Tower.
  13. I'll second that...never has a trim brake been used so amazingly!!! And that smell when you hit it, that awesome metal and grease, it's truly terrifying. Mmmmm Blue Fall...is it time for the TPR Japan trip yet!??!?!
  14. Gisco, So funny that you mention that! We actually have a price and itinerary for our TPR Disney Around the World Trip!!!! It's going to be insane! Details will be announced sometime later this year or next. We have a lot of TPR Trips in the works, just need to get through the first one this summer before going full on!
  15. Yeah, and that reminds me of a good story... A few weeks ago when we were there with Non-German Tom we went on for his first ride ever. As we get to the '5th Dimension' and the elevator moves out of the shaft he freaks out and was like 'OMG, it moves out of the shaft, wow, that's amazing'. And I've seen people do that all along. DCA's TOT is not much different than Maliboomer!
  16. I love Adventure Island! Yeah I noticed that they've actually pulled Tampa Typhoon from the maps. From a quick driveby on our way to BGT I couldn't even see that one, or Gulf Scream. The new slide looked pretty much open and done, but it looks to have pretty low capacity. Don't Miss: Everglides, New Slide, 3 Adult body slides that you climb the waterfall to, Activity Pool, Wahoo Run, Splash Attack, Water Moccasin. Damn, I can't believe I still remember all of the names!!!! As for the traffic, yeah I-75 seems to always be pretty amusing. You'll go 80 a lot of the way, then there will be some fire, or overturned truck, or an overpass that randomly fell down. Sweet.
  17. ^Good point, then go all out and buy the 'fastpass type tickets' for every attraction you can! Fastlane at SFMM Universal Express at IOA/Universal
  18. ^I'm sorry but they are VERY different. Come on, when the WestCoaster crew gets back and basically finally admits how much more awesome the Florida one is, you know that the DCA one really must suck! ...unless you're a hallway enthusiast!
  19. Good to hear that Rattler is still running pretty good. Everyone go out and ride this coaster now! It's that good! Crispy, I'll just add in that your kids are adoreable...so what else do you have planned for them to get on this year??
  20. This ride is so awesomely terrible that it's just plain awesome!!!!
  21. Fujin Rajin at Mitsui Greenland was pretty awesome!!! Smooth, Racing dueling stand up and sitdown, with ejector airtime on both! The one at Hamanako was also pretty good. They hypers really did nothing for me.
  22. This kind of makes me sad. SFMM had been improving on every visit until about early March. Now it's been back to it's old habits. I even only saw 2 characters all day! SFGAd truly is showing that it's the flagship park.
  23. Happy Birthday Erik! Here's to another year of awesome PTR's!!!
  24. I feel like I'm stuck in the middle! I've got all the stupid UCLA people here, but obviously my loyalties belong to the Gators!
  25. While Raging Waters is the 'best' waterpark out here, I don't think it's that much better to go out of your way for it. SFHH basically has many of the same attractions and is a nice park. Now if you want something insane go do Wild Rivers. You will get beat up, and swallow a lot of water, but at least it's got some really crazy different attractions!
