Keep in mind all of the charges to either 'setup' or 'transfer' all of your utilities. Robb and I just moved so these are pretty fresh in my mind. Gas - about $15 transfer fee Electricity - about $25 transfer fee DirecTV - Nothing! Water/Trash/Sewer - $5 New application fee Also, if you're out on your own for the first time the utilities may also require a deposit from you. Don't forget stuff like Internet, Cell Phone, you know all those 'extra' utilities!

The Official Nintendo Wii Discussion Thread
SharkTums replied to MiamiBoii4392's topic in Random, Random, Random
I've played both at Robb's office....I love the Wii!!! In fact, we will have two of them by next Sunday...Mwa haha!!!! I didn't think it was possible to make a game system uglier and heavier than the Xbox 360 but Sony sure did! Seriously though, for me it's always been about the games or something cool. The Nintendo offers both of those things. I've really never been into Sony or Xbox games with the exception of Katamari and the Drum Game. Nintendo makes games I actually want to play, and now they're taking the piece of technology I really enjoyed from Wario Ware Twisted and modding that out too! -
The Adventures of Yeti Ball in the UK!

Eh, don't pay attention to James, no one else does! -
Yeah, you know, the more I think about it, this thread is just trouble for trouble's sake. Mr. Bathroom, we have plenty of threads on front pages right now detailing Six Flags, and Six Flags Magic Mountain. I'm not going to let this spiral out of control into a why this park sucks, or this park is god, etc.

The 2006 Six Flags Agenda
SharkTums replied to ParkTrips's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have yet to see the Smoking Ban enforced by ANY employee at SFMM. I was sitting at Gold Rusher the other day and this guy was puffing away next to me, employee after employee walked by and said nothing. The Characters were nice while they lasted. Our Bugs Bunny World has been severly understaffed lately with many times there were 2 Ride Ops for 8 rides! (not so family friendly) Employee training didn't seem to work really well either. Think of all the trip reports with employees on cell phones, sitting down, and generally not caring. Again, SFMM was really shaping up in February and March, but then started reverting back to its old ways. It just couldn't handle the busy summer season, followed by the understaffed fall season. Poor SkyTower hasn't been open since August now! As for the other SF parks this season...wow, it was a pretty SF free year for me! I think the only other one was SFoG! SFoG has always been one of the better parks, but there was lots of one train operation on our day there this summer. -
^^You enjoyed the post!?!? $12 Churros...did you actually read any of it? Or are you just appeasing the world as a SFMM Fanboy! The park has way too many issues to even be addressed here. I've always been the one to say that it's a very beautiful park, but it needs a completely new staff from ticket takers to Directors, Managers and Owners. Plus the coaster selection is less than stellar. It's basically the Cedar Point of the West Coast, but with inferior operations, staff, and value!

will maverick be ready by this summer>?>?
SharkTums replied to Shmoclo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's sinking. So is Magnum, they're moving Magnum over to the Maverick Site and using Maverick as footers. BTW, barring any major problems it will be ready for opening day. Check out our construction pix and you'll see that it's really far along. -
2nd time not such a charm?
SharkTums replied to canada's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Mr. Freeze! OMG I loved these once they put the lapbars only on these...but then, on my second visit to SFoT's I had a really horrible ride. I felt like I couldn't breath, the bar was killing me, and it was no fun. I thought it must have just been a fluke so I rode again later in the day and again it was miserable and no fun. I don't know if I changed size, they did something to the restraint, it was just bad luck or what, but honestly the thought of riding another Freeze worries me! -
SheiKra to acquire Floorless Trains?
SharkTums replied to Imhotep's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Two Things: 1) Cory, I totally agree with you and think that putting MF Trains on Gwazi would be SUCH a great improvement. Unfortunetly, that can't be marketed. 2) If they really go through with this I guarantee BGT has either already paid for it, or will be getting the modifications for next to nothing. Think about it. Montu and Kumba were both built with their stations RIGHT on the ground. Shakira is like 30 feet in the air! Hmmm, odd, or already planned for! Plus Griffon was probably purchased at the same time as Shakira, maybe they had some deal that if they could get the floorless trains for that, they would also retrofit Shakira. See where I'm going here? Busch has historically always ordered entire extra trains from B&M, they obviously have an amazing relationship with the company, I have a feeling they're getting a good deal on these 'new' trains if it happens! But yeah, I still don't agree with it! -
SheiKra to acquire Floorless Trains?
SharkTums replied to Imhotep's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah I heard about this too...if you ask me it sounds really stupid. I've always thought the Floorless thing was a gimmick, and a poor one at that, now redoing the ride less than 2 years old??? BGT must be grasping for something to market other than "check us out we're remodeling a giant section of the park!" -
Wednesday will most likely be the least crowded, but will also be understaffed. I'd still choose Wednesday! If that's a no go, Thursday, Fri, Sun, Sat. Again, you might want to try calling to see if there are any large companies or events scheduled (they have a list of estimated attendance and events posted next to their phone, but most of the time their too stupid or lazy to help you out!)

I have a three questions about Europa-park
SharkTums replied to jappi's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hi There! Europa Park is the nicest park/resort in Germany so you're sure to have a great time. I would recommend spending 1.5-2 days at the park depending on what time of year you are going, also try and stay at one of their hotels. You'll get into the park early, and they're really fabulous! 1 - I haven't heard of anything 'major' for 2007, they are getting another Junior Size Roller Coaster for 2008. 2 - It depends when you go, what the weather is like, etc. We went in late June and our longest line was probably about 35 minutes for Atlantica Supersplash (new for that year). The park can get very crowded though. 3 - Go for 2 days and don't miss anything! There are so many cool things to explore that you just have to wander around! -
There are various plugin's you can buy/download that will compress it. I don't have any on this computer, but I'm sure someone will be able to help you out.
