Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
SharkTums replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The park did tell us they are going to work on the station during the off-season, so hopefully we'll see some improvement. -
PTR: New Hotness Tour

I'm kind of thinking this should be our next TPR Midwest Trip shirt! -
I think Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a nice park. Great back drop, decent rides and shows and food. Definitely missing a signature stand out ride. Depending on what they do with Rattler it could really put them on the map. We're probably in Texas every 2-3 years so we'll certainly be back soon.

Lake Compounce Discussion Thread

Last time we were there they told us that with this new modified BoulderDash it takes a lot of upkeep to keep it in a good, rideable condition. I'd rather the ride have some downtime and continue to run the way it's been running then to go back to what it used to be or worse turn into a typical CCI of that age! -
Fun Spot America Discussion Thread
SharkTums replied to jedimaster1227's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Exactly! With lap bars the ride is a fun equivalent to a roller skater. With the OTSR's it's a Junior SLC! -

So are Fantawild and Happy Valley like the Cedar Fair and Six Flags of China now? -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
SharkTums replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^It really depends on what you want to do and how long you're willing to wait in lines. Even if the park was 'quiet' you know there will be long lines for the flyer, invertigo, etc. I'd rather not wait and go for the Fast Lane. You can always go first, see how the crowds are and then decide on Fast Lane. -
Fårup Sommerland Discussion Thread
SharkTums replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^This is not an American park, it's filled with people who know how to quickly load a coaster and ride operators who care about their job and do their best to hustle. It's also not a giant park, or a park that people go to for the roller coasters. -

^Nope, the little ones would be welcome and will have a great time with KT and others! -

^Exactly. I'm guessing that poster just doesn't know anything about the park. -

With the change of name on the slide, this park is now dead to me! -
If they go the B&M Route I'd expect it to either be a Krake type Dive Machine or an X-Flight style Wing Rider. Like others have said, it has to compete against whatever SFMM is planning and I'm not sure a B&M Hyper would really do that as Magic already has a 250' tall hyper. All that being said, my money's still on them bringing Leviathan back!

This is a perfect addition for the park! Love these rides when they have the lap bars only. Can't wait to check it out with TPR in 2014! -

SharkTums replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^I love Knoebels to death, and now it's KT's favorite park home to two of her favorite coasters, but we've been there quite a bit lately and it's looking like next year may be Knoebels free. -

I don't get all the hate for Roller Soaker. If it's a warm day and you're in your bathing suit it's a really good fun ride. I rode it for the first time in awhile with KT on the trip and she really liked it. It has a low height restriction, goes 'backwards' if you sit that way, and is interactive for both riders and spectators. I totally understand that it's a capacity and maintenance nightmare, but I don't think everyone should hate on it so much. I personally won't miss it, but I can see some families missing out on it. -
Knoebels Discussion Thread
SharkTums replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Not trying to sound egotistical or annoying or anything, but to be honest, I think the TPR days there are better than PPP nowadays. PPP has gotten REALLY crowded and there's really almost nothing different they do nowadays that we don't get when we do a TPR Trip there! Plus ERT on Phoenix with 50 people is much better than with 700+ people. Add in annoying coaster enthusiasts and you can see why Robb and I don't even bother going to that event anymore. -

Off Topic but when will the tours be announced? Assuming it's a midwest trip that will include SDC I'd love to go. (May have to convince my parents though) . Tours will be announced in early October, and yes the CP Tour will also include SDC!
