  1. ^Email Robb.
  2. ^Do you mean Six Flags Great Adventure for New York? The Great Escape is in upstate New York and doesn't have any crazy stand out roller coasters. Hershey Park is quite far from Philadelphia, about two hours. There are plenty of things in the Hershey area to keep non-coaster people interested. Orlando is all about parks and fun, everyone should be fine here. Boston also has a ton of sightseeing outside of parks. Keep in mind Six Flags New England is about two hours from Boston. I would suggest for Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags New England that your non-coaster family members find something to do outside of the parks.
  3. Either of those will be more than fine. I would use your UK Drivers license because they basically put them in racks where a passport wouldn't fit and I wouldn't trust the staff at La Ronde with your passport!!!
  4. ^If you hit that magic sweet time between all schools going back and before Halloween Stuff the place should be pretty dead.
  5. Orlando Mummy, if you want to count them as launches. Other than the launches, loop and the top hat, this ride looks really lame. Oh wait! That's all there is to it... LOL! You're totally right!!! That's amazing! Ok, so now SFMM has nothing to claim I guess!!!
  6. So does Cheetah Hunt, the weird double coaster at Ferrari World, and I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two others. Obviously all of the impulses and sky loop rides do multiple launches forwards and backwards.
  7. I think you're reading too much into it. It's just PR speak; what they mean is that there are very few coasters out there with THREE LAUNCHES, so it's nearly unprecedented that they're building a triple launch coaster. The justification for using 'unprecedented' is that I don't think there's any other continuous circuit coaster that launches twice forwards and once backwards.
  8. Seriously! This was my first thought when reading the article. He survived fighting in Iraq but was forced to jump off of a Carnival ship!?!?!?
  9. Oh man...this is amazing!!! New information about that guy who 'jumped' off the Carnival ship!!! From CruiseCritic.com
  10. Maybe some of our Spain Locals can chime in on this, but I agree with pretty much everything you said. It was a very nice park, nice staff, nice rides, nice food, etc. It wasn't a full day park by any means, and it may suffer from being in such a resort town. Similar to the Myrtle Beach Hard Rock Fail Debacle...people don't go to Benidorm for theme parks, they go for the beach and water. Hopefully something can be done with the park as it would be a shame to lose it.
  11. So what was Parker's take on everything? I love traveling around the world to such crazy places just to see it through KT's eyes. I'm sure this trip even though you had been there before was completely different getting to see it from his point of view. You are very brave to do that crazy elephant stuff. We saw it in India and they couldn't have paid me enough to do it!!!
  12. ^The sad thing is, this is TOTALLY the GP Mentality. There are still people that don't believe me when I tell them that Apocalypse is a new wooden coaster and not just the old Psyclone. The worst decision SFMM made with that ride (and they made quite a few) was putting it in the same spot as the previous wooden coaster!!!!
  13. ^^Don't put words in Robb's mouth...he said he much prefers this Premier ride to a Wing Rider, but SFMM could have used a good people eater for once. This looks loads better than the Wing Riders.
  14. ^All the parks with Intamin 8-10 inversion coasters have a minimum of 5!!!
  15. Is there some sort of word filter on the forum right now causing all of you to write August instead of September!?!?!?
  16. Interesting...from Wiki: So they've had an icon like the last eight years in a row, and they've had an icon 11 out of the last 12 years? I'm very curious to know what went behind the decision to not have an icon.
  17. ^^No, I'm pretty sure they mean they're only buying two trains.
  18. And people spending dinner money in the park as well.
  19. Robb just asked about the planned Sky Screamer on the Six Flags Corporate Call; they said that they could not confirm or deny any future projects but that big things would be coming to the park in the next five years.
  20. Robb's on the call with Six Flags Corporate right now, they have no comment about the sling shot parts in the park. They also have just said that no rides are planned to be closed for construction of Full Throttle.
  21. Did you mean September 2 or Next August? That's a long time to wait!!!
