  1. I don't think it's fake beer for the sake of having a drink. It was a pub serving beer in the movie. They all dance and sing about drinking beer. It's the Magic Kingdom so they can't put alcohol so they're doing a fake drink but for a reason. I'm sure the success of Butterbeer helped this get approved, but it's not fake.
  2. A few of you have mentioned Holiday World and Worlds of Fun not being on the trip. It's important to remember though that we were just at those two parks in 2010 and we have NEVER featured Magic Springs on a TPR Tour.
  3. Well, I know that Paula from Holiday World reads the boards, so maybe if she wants to help us out a bit with our visit (cough ERT cough) it could be a possibility, but as of now we just don't have the time to get there. I know all of you ask for more, and you see a park somewhat nearby and add it in, but you have to remember that adding a park means adding a day of hotel, day of bus, day of meals, extra park ticket and extra day. Then you'll come complaining to me that the trip is too long!
  4. 1. It's very possible. 2. There are two Mitsui Greenlands. One on the Southern Island and one on the Northern Island. This trip would do the one up in Hokkaido. I don't think we're welcome back at the Southern one after Steve and TP Dave left half of their skin on the alpine slide.
  5. We always get new people on the trips, and they do just fine! There is an initial deposit, then two subsequent payments as we get closer to the trip. We have always worked out with people smaller payments more often if that works better for their schedule. This is not a problem at all, just needs to be agreed upon with me before hand. Everything else you say is correct. There are times we're all together, times we split off into smaller groups, and times you can go do whatever you want.
  6. Unless something major comes up in our personal schedules, these are the correct time frames for the trips.
  7. 1 - Most likely not. We've played around with a few different itineraries for the Texas/Midwest Tour and the one presented was the best for a multitude of reasons. 2 - We do not piece out the tours. You're more than welcome to sign up, pay the full amount, but meet up with us 2 or 3 days into the trip, or head out 2 or 3 days early, we've had people do this before.
  8. I just looked it up. Early June depart and Late June arrive. BOS to TYO. If I went on multiple airlines, I can get it down to $1181.10. Non-stop on AA is $2012.10. These flights are coach. The cheapest first class seats cost around what Japan Airlines wants coach. Delta for $5158.58 and AA non-stop for $6521.10 (Other airlines have much better first class seats). Since it is a very long flight, I do think it is better to break it up into 1-stop on same airline so you are less likely to lose your luggage. Yeah, $1200+fees sounds pretty good! So 3K for the parks, 1.5K flight (fees, taxis, etc.), and since it is a month, I'm thinking $30 spending money a day for food/supplies/etc. So $900 for that and I'm thinking $600 as emergent cash. So I think I will need a minimum of $6K for the trip. Wow, so you've already reduced what you thought you needed by $2k! See how easy that was!
  9. Of course. We always open up the private trip forums and have a thread dedicated to watching flight prices and meeting up so people don't have to travel alone if they don't want to.
  10. This is just a basic questionnaire to get an idea of which trips you'd like to see offered. They could easily change in makeup before they're actually announced so we will not put airports on them. If you can't figure out a basic idea of what the airfare would be just post or email. It's not too hard to figure out rough ideas.
  11. The trip would most likely include a stay at a partner Disney hotel such as the Hilton Tokyo Bay. This is on property, but not an official hotel. (Think WDW Swan and Dolphin, but even closer to the action!) If people were going to add on time at Disney (which we will be doing, and offer to help others) you could totally try and get some more people to crash in a room. Keep in mind this is Japan, and it will be very hard to find rooms with more than two beds. The official Disney hotels do have some three bed rooms, but they're very expensive.
  12. I don't think we would add the Aguascalientes area on to the Mexico Trip. We're trying to do some 'cheaper, shorter' International trips for our participants who have been asking for that as an option. I think you'd be able to add on that area with a couple of people to the trip no problem and I'd be happy to help!
  13. ^^Also you can get airfare to Japan from most places in the US for around $1200 so it's not as crazy as you're making it out to be.
  14. ^Multiple trains, basically same as Disneyland.
  15. ^And if it's a Sunday evening you're driving back up to EWR I would add even more time to be safe as a ton of people return to the NYC Area after a weekend away. The Turnpike can be a parking lot.
  16. ^That was my first Boomerang!
  17. Honey Mustard Popcorn!!!!! AHH!!! Sounds awesome, hope that it's still there in a few weeks or that it gets adopted by Tokyo as I'd love to try it!
  18. Bummer to hear that the big ride fell through. Hopefully they'll get something setup before the next TPR Australia Trip!
  19. Must be a slow news day. '10 attractions closing' sounded a lot crazier than what's actually happening.
  20. This is a fabulous deal for anyone who doesn't have a pass to Sea World and/or Aquatica!
  21. ^Erik, have you heard anything as to an opening schedule?
  22. ^Universal and Islands of Adventure are two separate parks. You don't go to Epcot for roller coasters, you go because it's awesome.
  23. ^Wait, did you just say you're visiting in December? Only the Orlando parks will be fully open on your list. Hershey does a Christmas event with little to no coasters running. All the other parks are fully closed.
  24. ^If the internet has taught us anything, it's that anyone with a dream, a pickup truck, and some tools can put together their own roller coaster!
