  1. We should all just be happy the ride was saved (in theory), don't even think about seeing the inline twists come back...that would be a miracle!
  2. ^I believe I addressed this somewhere else but... People in Australia would die of excitement and happiness if they got the world's WORST B&M! Everyone expects a lot from Cedar Point, especially when they haven't put in a coaster in the last 5-6 years. From the reviews of ALL of the Wing Riders enthusiasts know that even the biggest tallest most inversion Wing Rider isn't going to shoot to the top of anyone's list. It will however do great for the park.
  3. Yeah this is kind of a dumb discussion to be having. Ice Queen isn't derogatory the way those of you who use it are using it. Also, I know for a fact she doesn't read the site. And finally, like Andrew said, she's not going to care one way or the other about this.
  4. ^We stayed at that hotel back in 2008 and it was just fine!
  5. Seems like a lot of effort to get her kid a free lifetime season pass! (Isn't that the urban legend of what Disney does?)
  6. ^Do you think they would have spilled the beans so early though? Still holding out hope for Flight Deck!
  7. I don't think we're 'afraid' of going anywhere as there are safe means to go to pretty much any place. There are certainly areas that we have either waited to clean up a bit or questioned bringing KT to, but other than like "Syria/Iraq/etc" I don't think there's a 'coaster' place we're scared to go to. Here are some examples: China - We knew that air quality was bad, water is no good, and it's communist, but we coordinated our first visit with the Olympics, got a great tour agency, and took food/water precautions and everything was fine Brazil - Similar to China we're waiting for the cleanup for the Olympics and World Cup to coincide with a visit there. I've visited Brazil before, but not to the amusement parks. Issue here is more crime related safety, not health. Mexico - A combination of Brazil and China...health and safety issues, but some areas are safe enough for tourists, looking into doing a group trip here soon. Africa - Requires some immunizations and pills for some areas, so waiting till KT's a bit older to head over.
  8. Guys, I hate to alarm you all, but apparently the Apocalypse (not the wooden coaster) is actually going to happen... SFMM getting TWO non-coaster rides in a row!?!?!?!?
  9. This is beyond crazy!!! I hope you get some great publicity from this!
  10. ^^We've stayed at a couple of the hotels across the street from Dorney several times now. You are correct, for some reason they have never bothered to put in any sort of crossing. Each morning you'll see families and teens running across four lanes of 55mph traffic. Not the safest thing for sure, but everyone does it.
  11. I will just LOVE if they call it Flight Deck!!!! Please, CP, I know you're reading this...call it Flight Deck!!!!!
  12. ^It's up to you. We will have ERT in the morning before the park opens and ERT at night after the park closes, so you're looking at an at least 14 hour day at the park. It depends how long of a drive it is and how well you do driving while tired!
  13. Probably Japan.
  14. ^LOL! That's really clever of them, but I'm pretty sure it's just a nod to the enthusiasts out there that remember the short lived Banshee.
  15. ^You'll need to talk to guest services at the park and see if it will be allowed. In the past most parks have made an exception and allowed someone with a voucher in but they prefer you to have your pass processed.
  16. ^If you'll be in town the day before I would go process the voucher into a card Saturday so you're ready for the event Sunday morning.
  17. ^Two of those things you mentioned support my statement of "being near the end of its life". Bummer.
  18. The only thing I can think of for Space Spiral is that it must have been approaching the end of its life or something. There's no other reason to get rid of such a small footprint, no height requirement, gentle observation tower ride in a park that is losing more and more low thrill attractions like it. I'll miss these both!
  19. Like Royal Caribbean needed to do anything else to be the 'official' cruise line of Theme Park Review... Coca-Cola® and Royal Caribbean Introduce Freestyle Machines Onboard Read all about it here: http://www.answeritroyally.com/blog/?p=4971
  20. And looks like it will go out with a very good cause: https://www.firstgiving.com/gktw/finaldispatch
  21. Fiabilandia was a very cute children's park. KT insisted that we ride the Wacky Worm and Wacky Mine Train several times each! She especially loved that the Wacky Worm had a pink train!
  22. ^As long as Fast Lane passes are still available you can go buy them at park opening like the normal general public.
