  1. I loved the Promenade! There's a nice little seat there so you can people watch, watch parades all sorts of stuff. You just close it when you're naked or changing or whatever but you really should do that with an ocean view also as they're always out there cleaning and stuff!
  2. ^I'll ask some of our SoCal peeps to make a trip over and check it out soon.
  3. I think Colin should try his hand at painting a car on the train and see how it comes out!
  4. ^Yup, and I'm sure we'll see the other parks follow suit soon. And like I posted earlier, this will create more jobs and more work for people!
  5. I'm not a 'normal' balcony person. I would rather just take an in inside or one of the crazy options that Royal Caribbean has. For example, I would put the following types of rooms above 'normal oceanview balcony': - Promenade Window - Central Park Balcony - Boardwalk Balcony - Crazy Suite Balcony I don't think I would ever pay the money for just a 'normal' balcony.
  6. ^Um, Lagoon is 20 miles from the airport. There are plenty of other parks out there closer to airports with taller rides.
  7. ^Exactly, as long as he can survive Fri-Sunday you should be good to go!
  8. Crap, I'll have to go read the spoiler quick!!!!
  9. That's a lot of stuff you're covering, and don't get too discouraged when it's really crazy as you arrive and for the first few days. Make sure to post on Facebook or the site as it gets closer and I'm sure you'll find some locals to meet up with you, though possibly not on those insane days! If all you really care about at AK is those three rides, you're fine going on a busy day. Try to get there for opening and just fastpass your way though. Don't forget if you're a credit whore there are two spinning mice too! Busch could still be crowded...perhaps chance it and wait to buy Quick Queue till that day, but if you have it in the budget just buy it now in case it was to sell out. Especially with Cheetah Hunt now, it's harder to do a lap and get ahead of the crowd like you used to be able to.
  10. ^I'm not going to name names, or bad mouth people. I'm above that, unlike the ACEers! I just find it amusing, that's all.
  11. Superman Ultimate Flight @ SFDK I don't know if if it got enough "hype" to be considered "most over-hyped", but it was a pretty big new attraction for 2012 that's just OK. AND it had the oh-so-awesome national news "rider's stuck for xx hrs". I haven't ridden Leviathon, but I'd say it was BY-FAR the MOST HYPED of 2012 (being the 1st b&M Giga), and seemed to sorta fall flat with the reviews I've read. I'm sure it's a really good ride, but was sooooo hyped, it couldn't live up to it. -Mr Bebe Aww, poor Superman...I did totally forget that one! And I actually really like SFDK! Will update my list, thanks!
  12. Is it time to go back yet!?!? Can't wait to ride a non-neutered version of this ride again!
  13. So it you're smaller or smaller, you're equally screwed? Some in the group I was with had trouble with the restraints, too. Funny funny...I fixed my mistake!
  14. Yeah, they do. I've been on Wild Eagle and X-Raptor and they both felt the same. I'm assuming the others are two. I've heard reports from smaller people that Swarm did the same.
  15. ^From my bit of research into the WingRider restraint constricting problem it seems to effect smaller people much more than larger people. I really don't like the restraints at all, they make it so I can't take a deep breath!!!
  16. I've done a lot of research into safety and am working with very reputable companies. I'm bringing my kid, so that should tell you that I feel safe. There will be certain stronger rules, similar to how the Dubai Trip had its own set of rules, but it's all for safety and security.
  17. Jake and I also played some games at La Ronde...food and games were better than most of the rides! In Park McDonalds!!!!
  18. I can't believe it's even still a thought that this park will 'return to glory' or whatever! I think it's time we just let it go.
  19. And all of these ACEers that claim to have loved these rides forever are just NOW 'friending' them and 'liking' them on Facebook. If they were all such awesome places and rides why weren't you all already fans!?!?!
  20. You're always welcome to go into chat tonight and discuss. This will not be an official one though. Plus with the announcement of Sharknado, I'm not sure anything will ever be able to top that!!! I will plan that chat the day the release date is announced!!!!
  21. We've had people in this situation before, and I think getting denied is actually a really good thing as it forces you in one of two directions; 1. You yell and scream and make it someone elses' problem or 2. You suck it up, get that realization that you need and do something about it which will only benefit your health and more! Even on some of our private trip boards we have Weight Loss threads and 'Walk of Shame' threads to help everyone keep motivated during the 'offseason' and workout and lose weight together.
  22. ^I sailed on the Celebrity Mercury which was similar in age and size as the Century. I mean, I'll be honest, going from Liberty of the Seas to the Century is going to be quite the shock. It's half the size, and more 'old school'. Also, cruises to Alaska skew much older so don't expect too much to do geared to the under 50 crowd. Not trying to bum you out or dissuade you. Alaska is beautiful and great to go to by Cruise, it's just very different.
