  1. So Thorpe and Universal Japan have both announced that you'll have the option to sit forwards or backwards...wonder what the deal at SFGAm will be?
  2. ^I don't think it's that big. Anyone having issues today? Origin seems down, I can get into my town but not friends towns but poor KT can't even get into her town. Ugh, not again!!!
  3. 1) Disney I believe is $14, Sea World is $15 (normal, preferred is more) 2) I'm not the biggest fan of the location, you're really 'stuck' there when you're there. Can't walk to anything. At least if you stay at one of the Downtown Disney area hotels you can walk to stuff. I also feel in Orlando, you should either pay $60 or less or $180 or more. All the hotels in that in between range just really aren't worth it. Either go super cheap cause you won't be in the hotel very much or go for a real nice resort and use it to the fullest. Again, that's just my opinion. 3) Parking is free at the resorts if you're going to dine at one of them. Security has the right to ask for proof of a reservation but usually doesn't, you will have to show ID though. 4) Sorry, can't help you with that one.
  4. That second update was hilarious! Nice work Chuck!
  5. ^We'll be going to this area on the trip as well! Robb's favorite Yakitori place is here (we've done group meals there before!) and that Disney store, well, I could live there. Poor Hachiko, it's so sad every time I'm reminded of him...but he's such a great meeting spot!
  6. Remember when Six Flags did the survey about the name 'Full Throttle', they asked which of the following products you had heard about that were called Full Throttle and the list had like 25 different products!!!
  7. My biggest Japan regret ever was my first visit to that very Disney store in Shibuya; they had a hard sided Chip n Dale suit case that was just perfect, unfortunately it was also VERY highly priced so I didn't buy it. I've never seen anything like it again.
  8. All the ships except for Disney will have a Casino so no worries there. As you plan more feel free to run anything by us!
  9. I agree! I'm actually almost jealous! Seriously though, it makes sense. DLR is much more pulling locals and wanting people to have a reason to come back over and over again throughout the year. WDW guests don't really know or care about these special things and I'm learning as we live there that most of our Annual Passholders are terrible people that belong in SoCal!
  10. Hey Bert, happy to help you out a bit! First off, your agent may be pushing you towards the Caribbean because Alaska cruising is VERY Different from other cruises. It's not so much a party every day, and it's really serene, quiet, geared to an older crowd and more about nature and crap. Now, this is all very fine and nice and Alaska cruises are fine by me, but I just want to make sure you know what you're getting yourselves into. That being said, STAY AWAY from Holland America and Princess. These two lines are great for Alaska...if you're 80 years old or older and about to die. Seriously, there's an article out there somewhere that like an average of 15 people die on every Holland America Alaska itinerary just because soooo many old people are on the ship!!!! If I were you I would go with Royal Caribbean, NCL or Celebrity. Those should be very friendly to you, will skew younger than the others, and still provide a nice experience. I would shy away from Disney unless you're hardcore seriously into Disney. They also get quite the premium. Secondly, you need to decide if you want to do round trip Vancouver or one of the one way Vancouver up to Alaska cruises. You'll see more going one way, but it will mess a bit with your airfare. I don't think there are any Alaksa cruises (especially from Vancouver) that are under 7 days, so that's what you're looking at. You can look into round trip Seattle or Vancouver, or the one way Seattle/Vancouver up to Alaska. Keep in mind May is the very beginning of the season. Most ships don't even head up till mid-May and it will be quite cold. Here would be my suggestions based on some additional criteria: Cheap and Easy: Norwegian Sun, Jewel or Pearl Willing to go one way and see more: Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Seas Money is no option, want really nice: Celebrity Solstice Hope this helps!
  11. Hopefully these new giant upside down Frisbees work better than the Evolution Flat Rides!
  12. This has been addressed in numerous threads, feel free to search here or look on google for how it will work for what you have planned.
  13. ^I hope they're not messing with Trattoria del Lupo! That's my favorite restaurant in Vegas!
  14. Just had a great brainstorming meeting/lunch with Kara and we've got a lot of exciting things happening. Team TPR raised so much money last year I really hope we can top it this year!
  15. ^Or they could just bring back the Toad Hole terrifying ride!
  16. ^I agree we need a few more coasters in the area to validate doing a full TPR Trip, but I feel there's enough to do in the area to justify a normal trip back there any time! We barely spent any time in the malls, there's indoor skydiving, more crazy sand dune stuff, plus the decent parks and excellent water parks.
  17. ^How about the phrase "Mobile Home"?
  18. ^^Mega for Freeport is most likely one slide and pool!
  19. We'll be talking to Kara today about this years event and will let you all know details shortly.
  20. Hoping for some really unique something!
  21. Top Secret was the last movie I ever saw at a Drive In!
  22. ^^I haven't been going to friends towns at all! I'm lazy. But like you said, I'm making some money, buying land, and slowly rearranging things. ^Did you check the walk through? You really have to make sure you have your characters free at the same time as specific ones are free to trigger building the next thing. I know the Krabapple apartments tasks took me like two weeks!
  23. ^Honestly I could see this doing alright. There is NOTHING at Freeport, it's got to be the WORST cruise ship port on Earth. And yet, some terrible ships keep taking people there.
  24. Absolutely normal! Oh man, a week at Universal and you still like parks?!!? After a summer of TPR Trips I need a hiatus from even my favorite parks! That being said there are certainly parks you can spend more time at then others. Most parks I feel I need about 45 minutes at!
